editThere appears to have been an attempt to give undue weight to this source. Adding the same source to multiple articles can be seen as a form of WP:SPAM, so it is best to avoid this.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 15:28, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
- I'm rather offended that I would be dubbed as a spammer when I'm an editor and admin on various wikias but I understand your concern so I will refrain from adding any sources from there for now.Justbecause5 (talk) 22:00, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
- I'm sorry for accusing you of spamming if this was unintentional. The real problem with this source, as User:Betty Logan pointed out, is that it is a collection of soundbite quotes rather than the full text of the review. It would be better to find the full text of the reviews, for example Stephen Hunter's review of 2001 is in the Washington Post here.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 06:31, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- Alright, when I find the full reviews, I'll post the links for them then.Justbecause5 (talk) 06:51, 12 January 2015 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Anthony Daniels, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Psychonaut (talk) 12:58, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
- Incidentally, there is a similar problem with your recent edit to Scarlett Johansson. Only one of the four sources you cite actually supports your claim, but that source (not to mention two others) is not reliable. I note that the material has already been removed by another editor, who suggested that it be reinserted elsewhere in the article. I strongly advise you not to reinsert it anywhere.
- Your edits to Renny Harlin and Hayden Christensen are also disruptive and have been removed by other users. Please familiarize yourself with WP:SYNTH and especially WP:BLP! If you continue to post this sort of material, you will find your account blocked. —Psychonaut (talk) 13:09, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
- Then it would be best to do this for all pages as several filmmakers and actors pages including Roland Emmerich, Brett Ratner, Roger Christian, Michael Bay and more have notoriously non-neutral points of views. I was following in their footsteps because I thought it was fair game to include common interpretations made by society regardless of it being opinions. And there really isn't a way to cite it without it being an opinion as any source agreed upon or not is citing it's respective opinion. How were the edits to the latter two disruptive? Justbecause5 (talk) 18:53, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
- They were disruptive for the same reasons your edits to Anthony Daniels and Scarlett Johansson were. (Whoever reverted the Renny Harlin edit put it more succinctly in their edit summary: "poorly sourced, unencyclopedic or misplaced".) Of course, I assume you didn't intend for them to be disruptive, and you're more than welcome to continue contributing here. I agree that any other biographical articles with non-neutral points of view should also be fixed. If you're confident that you now understand the WP:NPOV policy, as well as WP:OR and WP:RS, then you're welcome to fix any problems yourself. If individual cases are unclear, it's best to open a discussion on the article's talk page to ask for advice. —Psychonaut (talk) 17:16, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- I think this would be an appropriate link to add to this person's respective page.Justbecause5 (talk) 03:32, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Recent later 2000s, early 2010s picture of Joe Estevez.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Recent later 2000s, early 2010s picture of Joe Estevez.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 16:01, 20 December 2015 (UTC)
- I'm not expert on this new system so I would just need to simply know how to change whatever it was marked under and which would be fair use. I don't know how to use any of these methods so this means nothing to me.Justbecause5 (talk) 20:12, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

editHello, I'm JesseRafe. I noticed that you recently removed content from Twin films without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please don't indiscriminately remove information from articles. Especially when it is well-cited, and especially if that information is obviously important such as the article's lede/introduction. JesseRafe (talk) 21:11, 16 May 2017 (UTC)
- Last I checked, I added back in content that interfered with one of my edits and didn't change anything else. It was because somehow I didn't save while I was posting it and had to go back. No, I don't remove any information unless it's from a biased or incited paper like Fox News/MSNBC.Justbecause5 (talk) 21:16, 16 May 2017 (UTC)
- You did. It's in the history, it's clear and incontrovertible. Please read the MOS and learn how to cite. Stop citing to Wikipedia itself and stop linking to WP articles as if they were external. These "sources" are not reliable, they're just blogs and fan sites. JesseRafe (talk) 01:40, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
- Not true, they were cited from actual newspaper, articles and books covering the history of film. Wikipedia pages when cited also had relevant information. I didn't cover many fan sites and once again the whole page is based on movies with similar plots or circumstances that came out around the same time.Justbecause5 (talk) 01:48, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
- You have no credibility here, what the heck does "not true" mean??? You are citing Wikipedia articles like external websites, that is not OK. Please read the MOS and learn how to cite appropriately. Take your positions to the Talk Page, Speed 2 and Titantic have nothing to do with each other, unlike say two movies about Wyatt Earp or Prefontaine or Yves Saint Laurent or Truman Capote, etc etc -- exact same premises for films, not random crap that are tangentially related "they both have a ship in them", that is not twin film and seriously undermines the credibility of this page. Stop now. JesseRafe (talk) 03:21, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
- Virtually every source sited is external. The various news sites were no different than Variety or whatever sources are quoted in the reception or details on a typical Wikipedia film page. One example which you disagree with doesn't mean someone lacks credibility and you clearly did not read ALL of the sources. You're supposed to bring a problem to the Talk page before removing it regardless as opposed to continually doing edit warring. We are allowed to quote other wikipedia pages. The credibility is continually hurt by your vague opinions and continually removing sources without saying why they are inaccurate.Justbecause5 (talk) 03:31, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
- Are you kidding? You cited using ref tags to Wikipedia again and again! This is in the article's history, don't say it didn't happen. Just the same as you removed valid sources and entire sections, including the introduction. This isn't about your opinion, but about consensus. Per WP:BRD the onus is on you to go to the article's talk page and build consensus there, not me. Please read the MOS about how to cite and reliable sources in the meantime as well. JesseRafe (talk) 03:57, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
Formal mediation has been requested
editThe Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "User continually edit warring vital sources.". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 24 May 2017.
Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:The Prophecy films
editA tag has been placed on Category:The Prophecy films requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Request reason:
Citing an actual universe, no rule got broken.Justbecause5 (talk) 02:37, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Without getting into the weeds of what is and is not canon for a particular universe(personally I think the assumptions a filmmaker is operating under doesn't necessarily contribute to canon, but that's not for me to determine, nor do I do so here) your editing was disruptive and this request doesn't tell me what you will do to avoid being disruptive in the future, so I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:54, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Hello @DrKay:, I don't know if it is my place to get involved here, but I have experience with this editor and I do not believe they necessarily made recent edits in an attempt to vandalise. I believe they added recent categories to articles due to a naive assumption about a so called "shared universe" based around Val Verde (fictional country).★Trekker (talk) 21:34, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- There's nothing to complain about. It's not fan-made or meta if the filmmakers, comic book writers and studios have confirmed it. Ridley Scott noted how Blade Runner & Alien were connected; Steven E. De Souza & Joel Silver films used the same characters, locations (Val Verde) and De Souza has said in several recent interviews that they're all in the same universe. The Speed connection is them using the same truck companies as Die Hard. You can disagree but you can't argue with creators of these films.Justbecause5 (talk) 01:12, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
- Rights holding define franchises and continuity, not writers or directors.★Trekker (talk) 10:11, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not inclined to unblock on the basis of these comments. I don't see how Blade Runner is part of the Speed film franchise and I would be surprised if any reliable sources make such a claim. DrKay (talk) 16:53, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
- @DrKay: I agree no reliable sources makes such claims, but my point is that I dont think Justbecause5 made these edits in an attempt to vandalise, I think he just lacks understanding of how franchises and how Wikipedia categorization of them is supposed to work.★Trekker (talk) 17:38, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
- I"m still here guys, I understand perfectly as once again the filmmakers acknowledged it is one connected universe.

Source 1 Source 2 Source 3 And once again, rights owners get a legal say but as a neutral source, Wikipedia doesn't comment on what is or isn't considered canon, let alone gatekeep or say the creators are wrong. For instance, Tom Fontana and other TV creators had deliberately made many shows be part of their St. Elsewhere/Law & Order shows. They knew rights owners might take issue with it but it didn't stop them from making it official in their eyes or stating such in interviews. Justbecause5 (talk) 02:37, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
- In other words, the android company in Blade Runner is part of the same evil corporation in the Alien films.
Alien crossed over with Predator. Predator film, games & comics are set in Val Verde country which connects Die Hard 2, Commando & other de Souza shows. He had the reporter from Die Hard appear in Ricochet and, again, Speed is connected because of same trucks in Die Hard 1 & 3.Justbecause5 (talk) 02:44, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
