I am not using these edits for any personal gain or getting paid. Im simply trying to get my original page back to where it was before it was changed to Team Chick motorsports. They did buy equipment from me but not my company name. I just want to have my Visconti Motorsports page back in its original form

I'm completely confused as to how my pages name was changed. I'm not editing for any profit. I just want my original page back with my team name Jvee7424 (talk) 01:58, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
Mandatory paid editing disclosure
editHello Jvee7424. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Jvee7424. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Jvee7424|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. ~Anachronist (talk) 01:25, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Team Chick Motorsports. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Adakiko (talk) 01:31, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Jvee7424. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Team Chick Motorsports, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. NASCARfan0548 ↗ 01:38, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
Renamed back to Visconti Motorsports
editI have reverted the renaming of the article back to Visconti Motorsports. The person who renamed it earlier did it in good faith but did not realize that they are still separate entities. ~Anachronist (talk) 04:17, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
Thank you VERY much!!!! Jvee7424 (talk) 04:24, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
Don't edit the article
editThere are two reasons why you shouldn't be editing Visconti Motorsports:
- Your edits have caused damage (scrambling a cited source and moving an image out of place), which I have repaired. Editing articles should not create work for others.
- Because you have a conflict of interest (see WP:COI), any editing you do will likely result in the article being tagged as problematic due to COI editor involvement. I am sure you'd rather have a "clean" article. Instead, propose any substantive changes on the article's talk page. You can preface your change proposal with the tag {{request edit}} to cause your request to be listed on a category page that is monitored by some editors.
Finally, you did not respond to, and did not comply with, the mandatory paid editing notice above. Because you have continued editing in violation of the instruction given above, I must block this account. I have not done so yet, giving you one more chance to put the proper disclosure on your user page. I can do this for you if you like; let me know.
Undisclosed paid editing (and by definition if you own the company and you edit here in the company's behalf, you are a paid editor) is a violation of the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, and you entered into a legally-binding agreement to abide by it when you created this account. I will block your account if I have to, but I don't want that to be necessary. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:22, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
