Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at 2026 Winter Olympics. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 02:45, 22 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Italy at the 2026 Winter Olympics

edit

The article Italy at the 2026 Winter Olympics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG, is unsourced. Probably just WP:TOOSOON for this article to exist. There was formerly a redirect, which was deleted, so I am reluctant to redirect it.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Don't know what I'm doing wrong, and maybe if you tell me instead of removing my editing privileges, I'll make sure not to do it again

Decline reason:

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Athletics at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Qualification, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aaron Brown. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:04, 31 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

2023 Beach Volleyball World Championships moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to 2023 Beach Volleyball World Championships. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 15:30, 10 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

It has sources, however I can't figure out how to add them. Maybe you can help me, if I provide some links? Jwui3u3e (talk) 19:50, 10 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Figured it out. But the problem is, it says it can take up to 4 months?? By that time the event will already be over lmao. If you have the authorization to approve drafts, then please check mine as soon as possible :) Jwui3u3e (talk) 20:11, 10 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into 2023 Beach Volleyball World Championships. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read!
