Merger proposal

Hi Kailash, i need your help in merging of list of highest-grossing Tamil films to Highest-grossing Tamil films,though i believe list of highest-grossing Tamil films is the correct title for the page but Highest-grossing Tamil films is semi-protected 3 months which makes the former attracting numerous vandalist edits(which is happening currently as you can see it in history) by fans of certain heroes.so, if you know how to do a proper merger can you do it? I used proper deletion tags in list of highest-grossing Tamil films but some one deletes it every time as it is not a semi-protected page..i don't think one page is highly/less developed,because templates of both pages and it's content are duplicates of each other.I think we can retain Highest-grossing Tamil films which is semi-protected for 3 Months and delete list of highest-grossing Tamil films.Thank you! Hey! Have you seen I? Actually, I really loved the movie. The visual effects was brilliant, never seen before in any Indian film. But, I think Vikram's performance took the film to another level. Yep! It was quite tiring. A length of 3 hours and 8 minutes is really something hard to digest. Also, the excess detailing stretched its length. Plus, the never ending fight sequences were distracting. However, I loved the background score and the songs. Especially the picturization of "Lady O", "IsaakTaari". Sorry for disturbing. Was V. S. Raghavan the old doctor who reveals Lee that he has been infected with 'I' virus in the film? Please let me know. And, my opinion on 'I' is five. I - Infectious for Vikram, I - Impressive for P. C. Sreeram, I - Imperfect for Shankar, I - Incomplete for Rahman, and I - Irritating as a film. You know why? Because of worst possible dubbing and bad dialogues cum lyrics with Vikram's dubbing by someone for Lingesan, Lee and Vikram's dubbing for hunchback being the only exceptions. How would I miss it? I am a die-hard fan of Vikram. I did like it for the most part. But, in comparison to Shankar's previous films, this wasn't upto the mark. The story and the treatment were good, but the screenplay wasn't. IMHO, the only drawbacks of the films are the screenplay, the extravagantly over-the-top picturisation which became suffocating after a point and the under-developed characterisation. Nonetheless, Vikram almost managed to make up for the flaws. A guy with incredible acting prowess, he isn't intelligent enough to chose good scripts. Shankar's previous film Sivaji IMHO was salvaged only by Rajinikanth and nothing else (i am a Telugu person and consider it before any conclusions). Here too Vikram's hard work is the reason behind the film's good BO Performance, i mean a better one if the film apart from Vikram is considered. The scene where Amy throws a coin at the hunchback and his expression despite such thick prosthetic there proved his talent. But one thing, a non linear narration for a film of 3+ hours should not be encouraged, especially for a "thriller" like this. And the Telugu version has not been trimmed. True. For a plot as simple as this, they could have made it work better with a chronological narrative. They could have ended the first half with the cliff-hangar of Vikram's faked accident, explaining the conspiracy and Vikram's retribution in the second. That way, the first half could have been fun and enjoyable. Also, it would have lowered the people's expectations. I liked the film though it wasn't as good as Anniyan, which I thought was a very good effort. Vikram's character was even more pitiable than his role. ARR's BGM was not upto the mark. Dialogues are no longer sharper in Shankar's films after the demise of Sujatha. Above all, Shankar's obsession for white-skinned ladies continues. And yes, Vikram is not intelligent enough to choose films based on scripts like Kamal. He gives more weightage to his role rather than anything. If the set up of NFA jury is somewhat like Hollywood, he is sure to get the award. But sadly it won't happen for roles like this in India. —Vensatry _(ping) 08:18, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

Padma's previous socks Bewakoofiyan and Bhishek exhibit similar behavior if you check their user pages, particularly the former. Hope that may help you. Unfortunately, the book by Danny does not have Ananda Vikatan's review on the film, but page 163 states, "The Telugu version became an iconic success with the superb combination of all the top artistes of that industry. Andha Naal

Even from Randor Guy link given below states "Many people to this day are under the impression that the film was an adaptation of the Akira Kurosawa classic Rashomon". The fact this is totally different from Rashoman seen both movies, there is no one similarity between both Rashoman. Then the subject themes and influences gives away too much about film which is actually the suspense of the film. You can say what themes the film undergoes but you are also revealing which characters falls under these themes. Even in Usual suspects article you can see no where the identity of killer is revealed except in plot area.

Rashomon effect is contradictory interpretations of the same event by different people. Same events are altered by people who narrates it to suite them. What does it have to with Andha Naal. The woman in question and Virumandi are the films comes under this. But no where Andha Naal falls under this category by including this actually gives wrong information.

Rashoman - A man found murdered. Even police was never seen in this film. Just accounts of four people who give altered events to save themselves. The murder is about a bandit rapes the man's wife and is watched by a woodcutter. we see accounts of bandit, Wife, man's ghost through medium and woodcutter with a final act.

Andha Naal - A man found murdered. Here police starts investigating house owner, his brother, Brother's wife, his mistress and last his wife. None of the people here give altered accounts. What they say is fact so hence rashoman effect does not apply. As every one's account we come to know the motive each may have like his brother having money problem, house owner in love with man's mistress. Wife has patriotism and hero involved in Espionage activities during Madras bombing of 1942. I cant find any similarities compared to Rashoman. Here it is a common police procedural film like so many detective films or Agatha Christie novels. You can then say every Agatha Christie novel is based on woman in question. It is genre.

Sivaji Ganesan's Autobiography states the director wanted to make a film like Rashoman and began to write. There is difference between inspiration and similarities. Even Nolan has Heat as inspiration for Dark knight but that you can mention in production or development instead you are introducing a film as Andha naal inspired by Rashoman. As if like some remake film.

I think you should watch all three movies and then edit. At the least read those article about Rashoman and decide yourself. I hope you don't want to have a article with so many inaccuracies. (Ganeshiyer3000 (talk) 12:46, 21 February 2015 (UTC))

The reason I removed 'File:DDLJ 1000 Weeks Poster.jpg' is that it looks almost identical to the original at the top of the page, so it will not work under free use of copyrighted material. GAV is being dubbed into Tamil as Ram Leela, as the protagonist's name is Ram partly. Okay, there are a few contradictory claims regarding Prakash Raj's inclusion and i should mention them. Few parts are needed to be re written due to excessive detailing (A lesson taught due to the FA failure of SRK). After that, a c/e and later a GAR by Amritasyaputra or Jaguar. If the latter comes, the home media release should happen as he would ask me to cite the cast details using rolling titles. So the bottomline is - "It may happen in the second half of 2015". Hi long time. :) I want to initiate a discussion over the title issue of Mani Ratnam's upcoming OK Kanmani. Some official posters say that it is Oh Kadhal Kanmani where as previous ones (official) say OK Kanmani. According to this, what should be the title of the page? The official Twitter handle of the film specifically mentioned that the title is O Kadhal Kanmani. Fresh posters are writing the same. Just for popularity and some marketing reasons it is being referred as OK Kanmani. I've added that reference in the lead of the page. Edits and suggestion are always welcomed from experienced users.
