Mouna Raagam
I've come to know that you are aiming to bring Mouna Raagam to FA status, and i appreciate that. But, why are you waiting for 100 references? See, Mouna Raagam is a 1980's film and 86 references isn't a less number. WP:FACR says that an article should have a thorough and representative survey of the relevant literature with high quality reliable sources and inline citations wherever appropriate. In this case, it does satisfy the rule. So, i think you can nominate this for FAC. But your's is the final call, no objection. Once Kanche becomes a GA, i shall come with my second FAC, which surely isn't Magadheera, but something relatively small. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 06:53, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for the advice. Why I set the "minimum 100-refs" was, because that will convince me that the article is large and comprehensive enough, though I violated this for Kalidas. Mouna Ragam will be a joint FAC nomination (when User:Thamizhan1994 returns, he will be co-nominator). And I wish you all the best for the GAR of 1: Nenokkadine. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:03, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- Haha, we violated it for Mayabazar as well. Citations can decide an article's length but an article's comprehensiveness cannot be always measured by the number of citations; your FA Kaildas is a good example for this. One good example for the first part of the sentence is citation no. 6 of Citizen Kane. A single link was used for 81 times in such a long article of 227+kb! If all the possible reliable, and appropriate sources are used, that itself will ensure the comprehensiveness of a subject, irrespective of its size and shape. This applies to Keechaka Vadham as well. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 07:20, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
This may be useful, considering the impact Mouna Raagam had on it. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:02, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks, but I'm wondering how to paraphrase the content that's in it. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:56, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- How about this: "The concept of a bride unhappy with her suitor in Mouna Ragam inspired Nandini Reddy to come up with Kalyana Vaibhogame, where both the bride and the bridegroom are not interested in marriage." Tweak it accordingly, you can write better than me. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 02:29, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Opinion on sock
Hi Kailash, do you have a suspected sock master for PhysicsScientist? I saw your query on his talk page. He's edited at Dasari Narayana Rao, which is full of RajtheEmperor socks, but I also notice Padmalakshmisx socks. (Who knows--maybe it's all the same dude?) Physics has been here a month and is already moving articles with some awareness of our guidelines on page disambiguations. Here he edits an unpopular article that was created by RajtheEmperor. Something's definitely fishy, just curious who you think he is. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:03, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
- PhysicsScientist can't be RajtheEmperor because the latter creates socks with identical names, and cannot be Padma either because of a better behaviour. But PhysicsScientist knows too much for a newcomer, so I guess he is... Kailash29792 (talk) 18:13, 10 March 2016 (UTC)

Why you Removing Telugu Language from 2.0 movie Wikipage They Announced the Film going to release in telugu also as like All Shankar Movies are releasing in telugu too

Please keep an eye out
Hi Kailash, please keep an eye out for JO Bieson. He just added a wall of copy/pasted trade copy, which anyone should have avoided since it's not written in proper encyclopedic tone. The details are on his talk page, but here are some links. [1][2]. What's also problematic, is that he's nominating articles for GA. If someone doesn't know they can't steal content from another site, I don't see how they should be nominating articles for GA. Something seems really funky about that. I'm probably going to wind up blocking him, the way he's going. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:55, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
- He will eventually learn. And he does communicate. Kailash29792 (talk) 12:27, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

worth a thought
I've seen you had re-edited the "Tamil" part in Aalavandhan as though the film is in bilingual. Although it has mentioned that it's an Indian film as before revision. SuperHero ● 👊 ● ★ 13:51, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

- Just one suggestion: Whatever films you have removed from the table, you must re-add them with more reliable sources. Meanwhile, did you ask admins like Ian Rose or Graham Beards to attract more reviewers? Kailash29792 (talk) 13:55, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

I and the 63rd National Film Awards
Looks like the film is competing at the 63rd National Film Awards! —Vensatry (Talk) 12:20, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
- Most likely for Best Makeup or VFX. Kailash29792 (talk) 12:37, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
- And production design too! VFX is sure thing. —Vensatry (Talk) 17:28, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
- What about its cinematography? I also doubt that Vikram may compete for another NFA after Pithamagan. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 17:31, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
- Cinematography? I don't think so. This category is usually reserved for art films. There used to be a time (the 80s) when mainstream films were awarded in this category, but things have changed again. Vikram may look like being a strong contender but this isn't Oscar. :) —Vensatry (Talk) 17:44, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
- Point noted. Then, do you think any others can be a good contender for NFA? I feel Kamal Haasan has a chance for Uttama Villain. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 04:11, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
- UV? I don't think his performance would be considered in first place. Ditto with Papanasam. I totally forgot Baahubali, which along with Bajirao Mastani would strongly compete for this category. As always, the Best Actor/Actress/Director awards will go to some unknown art films in Marathi, Bengali, or Kannada. Over to Bollywood again, this film might win major trophies including the Best Actor/Supporting Actor/Director. And not to forget Masaan, Piku, and Visaranai. Vetrimaaran must be a fitting contender for the Best Director category. Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai might win this award. Except for I, Papanasam, and Baahubali, I haven't really seen any of these. :) Btw, one more category (the first of its kind) is set to be introduced this year. —Vensatry (Talk) 07:22, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
- Since Kannathil Muthamittal no film of Mani Ratnam has won National Awards. I don't think OKK would become an exception. But ... but ... but Leela Samson for Best Supporting Actress. :) —Vensatry (Talk) 07:29, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

I haven't watched OKK completely yet; i do not wish to comment on that. I've seen Masaan, Piku, Visaranai. Three were well made films. I do not have any hope from Telugu cinema this time. Though Srimanthudu achieved something like this and this, it may not be translated to a national honour. Even Kanche, the first WWII-based film is likely to be largely ignored. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 10:40, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
- Kumari 21F? Sounds like a different film. Was he (dir) a debutant? —Vensatry (Talk) 10:58, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
- No. It was written and producer by director Sukumar, its director Surya Pratap directed Current in 2009 and became Sukumar's assistant later. Kumari 21F is a good one, mainly off-beat for its theme. I cant say it is a flawless film and classic, but is surely a good one (though there are chances that one may find it a bit regressive as well). I watched it, loved it, and i liked this song by DSP. It somehow reminds me of Ilaiyaraaja for its violin usage. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 11:14, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Pavanjandhyala: Baahubali has really surprised me. :) —Vensatry (Talk) 08:55, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- And me too; its win in Best Feature Film (the highest category of the NFA) is surprising, given that the award is given mostly to indie arthouse movies which are not even theatrically released until after they are awarded. Kailash29792 (talk) 09:20, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- Perhaps, the tag of "India's biggest motion picture" came handy for Baahubali. I am happy for Big B, Visaranai and Kanche. I didn't even expect these names. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 09:37, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- Bajirao Mastani, Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Piku were my favourite Hindi films of the year, so I'm happy to see them win so big. I haven't seen Tanu Weds Manu Returns or Baahubali yet though, so I must do that soon. Quite a pleasant surprise to see Kangana Ranaut win her third NFA. How often do we see that happen? That woman is truly special. --Krimuk|90 (talk) 10:10, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- This cat. would've been apt. Seems like Bajrangi Bhaijaan was already reserved for it. Oh, Visaranai deserved much more than a 'Best Regional Film' award. Feeling sad for Kamal. :( Happy for AB though! —Vensatry (Talk) 10:31, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- NFA is a bonus for an actor's excellence and not a defining example for his/her acting prowess. Rajinikanth is perhaps the best example i can quote in this issue. No single NFA till date, but this man's legacy is unmatchable. I'm happy for both Bachchan and Ranaut. Tanvi Azmi is a shocker though! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 10:39, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

I don't think Rajini cares much about awards. But I really wish he follows AB's footsteps and does films like Piku once in a while. I didn't even know Tanvi Azmi was a part of the film. :) From all that I've heard about PC's performance in BM, Azmi's win took me by surprise. Leela Samson (in OKK) was good too. —Vensatry (Talk) 11:02, 28 March 2016 (UTC).

Krimuk90, Rajini's upcoming film is almost completed; he plays an aged-don and the director has assured the fans that they'll see the 'actor' in Rajini. - And Mammooty has lost to AB for the third time, at least in my count. :) —Vensatry (Talk) 12:57, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- Cannot comment on Mammooty and Ranaut. But, to be brutally frank, Pithamagan is a difficult film for any actor when compared to I if you want to test his "acting prowess". Bhaskor Banerjee in Piku is a very eccentric and twisted character, being extremely critical of everyone and always speaking about constipation. An actor who can make us "bear" him on the screen despite all that was only Big B, his efforts were great in it. I agree that Vikram's performance in I required gargantuan efforts and he pulled it off amidst eccentric thoughts of Shankar. If not best actor, it surely deserved a special mention. Anyways, as i said above, NFA is a bonus and not a defining example. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:34, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- I can't feelmy senses right now. Just saw the winners list and cried because I saw Azmi's name instead of Chopra. I was dying to add Best Supporting Actress template the day Chopra's name was announced for the film and it was a lock after seeing it. I don't know why she didn't even got a Special Award for this film. I think I'll be numb for next six months. God please tell this list is fake as I still can't believe it. Kalki was very deserving and so was Kangana. Kangana's Datto alone deserved all awards, she was also brilliant as Tanu. But I feel she had already won two and a consecutive? Really? Then please tell me what was Vidya Balan's fault in Kahaani that she didn't win any? I don't think Chopra will do another Supporting act ever. Personally, AB deserves it but I feel Dinesh should have been shared the best actor award, he was incredible in Visaranai. You seem to totally misinterpret the guideline. It has nothing to do with WP:NPA. Given my recent exhanges with the anon. troll, it might sound ironic: Don't feed the socks. :) Thanks for the revert though. —Vensatry (Talk) 17:38, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi! Could you please review the article Baby Meenakshi? It was created by me but was immediately nominated for speedy deletion. I think she meets the notability criteria for Wikipedia because her performance received attention in the film Amar Akbar Anthony (2015 film). There are also sufficient reliable sources given in the article. I'd like to know your opinion. Thanks! JosephJames 09:59, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
- Joseph, I think those guys were wrong to tag the article for speedy deletion rather than nominate it for deletion. Despite still being a child artist, I don't know if she is up and coming, but expanding the article significantly using search engines such as Eazyhomepage and Tito Dutta's search engine should save it from deletion. Otherwise, you may create Draft:Baby Meenakshi and store everything there until she is eligible to have a separate article. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:16, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, I meant 'tagged' for deletion I couldn't find any further sources from those search engines. I think she is an 'up and coming' actress. Suggestions? JosephJames 10:28, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
- The draft may be created and added to your watchlist. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:31, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
- I am trying to put it as an article itself... Thanks anyway! JosephJames 10:49, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hey! Tokyogirl79 has removed the tag for deletion because she thought that there was an assertion of notability in the article. Just wanted you to know... Thanks and keep supporting always! JosephJames 11:21, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

File:Captain_Haddock.png
You replaced the File:Captain_Haddock.png file with an edit summary "Larger and higher quality" when the new image is not larger nor is it higher quality. I see the new image is a transparent background but your edit summary was silent on that. What exactly was the point of changing images? Prhartcom (talk) 18:07, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
- The old image was too small-res and blurry, while the new image wasn't (at least when I saved it, it wasn't). But I made a mistake in saying it is larger, when I actually cropped it. Kailash29792 (talk) 18:12, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
- You say "The old image was too small-res and blurry", while the old image was not blurry at all, it is crisp and clear. If is was "too small", then why is your new version the same size as the old version? You are not truthful in your statements. I see this change of yours as no improvement at all, but no loss either, so it is basically a waste of time. Prhartcom (talk) 20:33, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

Hai, I re-added OAA and Kanmadam to "producer" section, now the list is complete. But the sources I found are from the film DVD buying page of Amazon.in and the citation is only on the DVD cover photo where the producer is credited. Is that OK ?. --Inside the Valley (talk) 19:19, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
- Seems legit. But you could cite the film's opening/closing credits too. See Ooha in Vikram filmography as an example. Kailash29792 (talk) 08:11, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- I did't get that. How ?. I saw only a usual referencing in Ooha. --Inside the Valley (talk) 09:09, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry, I mean cite the film's opening credits (along with time mark) from a verified YouTube video, in this format: <ref><film director name> (director) (1980). <film name> (motion picture). <country>: <production house>. Clip from <time mark> to <time mark></ref> Kailash29792 (talk) 05:55, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

Took a day off and watched the film in cinemas. Well made remake/adaptation (whatever they may refer to) of The Intouchables. Try watching Thozha and The Intouchables (if you haven't seen yet) if time permits. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 11:25, 4 April 2016 (UTC)

Ka Mu Sharif
sorry Mr.Kailash. please read the article in Dinamani. MF.Vikraman had said that " it was widely rumoured that it was Sheriff, ssong. He did not confirm it. Kannadhasan himself had given a stong statement that he did not want to stoop low to use the song of someone who is inferior to him.
183.83.49.60 (talk) 08:15, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- When someone issues a contradictory statement, they have to proove it.just someone writing in books and magazines is not a proof. Where is Ka.My.Sheriff's statement? It's not there because he knows he has not written it. For this, they may come out with an excuse that he was shy and avoided controversies. Anything without a concrete proof is not valid. Tomorrow someone might write that all songs of Kannadhasan was written by someone. Will you agree? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Annadorai (talk • contribs) 09:29, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- I would not. I have now rewritten it as, According to Dinamalar, the song "Paattum Naane" was adapted by Kannadasan from a song written by Ka. Mu. Sharif. I am writing like it is their opinion/belief. Kailash29792 (talk) 09:34, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
I don't find any source to prove that Sunny Deol acted in Chennai Express. I saw him in the film. Didn't you see him? — Preceding unsigned comment added by PhysicsScientist (talk • contribs)
- PhysicsScientist, no I didn't. If you saw Bigfoot and told people without evidence, do you think they'd believe you? Kailash29792 (talk) 10:34, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- I have a doubt. In the beginning SRK's (two) friends appear. Between the two, one's name is Sunny. Is he Sunny Deol or not.PhysicsScientist (talk) 10:43, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- If it was Sunny Deol, this would have received significant media coverage. But it didn't. So most probably it's not him. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:51, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

The Jungle Book
Have you seen the film yet?Krish | Talk 07:43, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- I'm going to. My ticket is yet to arrive, but the show is either today or tomorrow. What about you? Kailash29792 (talk) 07:45, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- I saw it yesterday in the evening. I want to tell you that the film does justice to the brilliant trailer, and more. I really loved the 3D effects, cinematography and the VFX. Easily the best 3D film ever. Plus, it booked itself an Academy Award for Best Special Effects.Krish | Talk 07:57, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- I had hoped Cinderella too would gross over at least $700 million worldwide, and receive multiple Academy Award nominations (would $542 million worldwide against a $200 million budget be considered great?). But The Jungle Book's release in multiple countries before the US (especially in India where it seems to have a strong market) should help it gross more. I earlier told you that this Jungle Book looked like a dark, gritty and realistic remake of the original Disney classic; does it? Kailash29792 (talk) 08:04, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, you had said that and I had agreed that time. Its actually very dark for the good reasons. Talking of Cinderella, I would like to correct, It's budget is $95 million and over $500 million in box-office in receipt is not all bad. Though would agree that I too hoped the film would atleast takeover Maleficent, but it didn't. It really doesn't matter for Disney or the trade pundits because they see it as a huge hit. Some publications labelled it as the Diney's most important hit last year, ahead of Star Wars: The Force Awakens mainly because of absence of an actress like Anjelina Jolie, who carried Maleficent to various countries. Does it really matter? I'm saying this because it was a multiple times better than all previous Disney Animated Classic's adaptations. Coming back to The Jungle Book, I'm sure this will take the centre stage at the Oscars next year. It will win for VFX, will garner multiple nominations as well, for Sound Mixing, Sound Editing, and if all went well, for Cinematography.Krish | Talk 13:28, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- I saw the movie today (9 April) and my verdict is: Though not entirely faithful to Kipling's book or the animated classic, it is excellently excellent in its own right and for its time. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:40, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, I agree not entirely faithful but excellent. Were you thrilled in some scenes? I mean the 3D effects really made the animals real. Did they thrilled you, especially when they were prancing, bouncing and jumping?Krish | Talk 18:18, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

- Thank you Pavan, and belated happy birthday! Sorry I could not wish you earlier. As for classic posters, you could save every poster from Telugu cineblitz before the site dies completely, which it seems to be close to. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:19, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

IIRC, the Ghatotkacha character was not there in the film. Also, there was just one Vrishasena (young). —Vensatry (Talk) 06:39, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
- I don't know. Unlike most Tamil films, the character names appear in the credits (source). At 5:17, you can see Stunt Somu, Master Suresh and Master Babu's names, though I found no evidence if Somu and Babu's scenes were deleted or not. I have seen the film twice, but I still remember seeing only one Vrishasena, unlike what the credits read. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:53, 20 April 2016 (UTC)

Why?
It's not needed. I find it easier to add in info as I find it to the redirect and once filming bgins just revert the redirect. A draft in this case is unnecessary. Rusted AutoParts 03:24, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- Only the necessary info will makes its make to the stub at Game of Shadows, all production notes will remain where they're at. Again, I appreciate the gesture, I just find this method easier and creates less articles with duplicate info. Rusted AutoParts 03:32, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
