Aiming for FAC? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:59, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- Should the article be completely devoid of IndiaGlitz and rely minimally on Behindwoods, a FAC seems possible. If only time travel was possible, I would go back and collect more contemporary articles and interviews to expand the article; if only I was a professional journalist, I could get more info from Chitralaya Gopu and the film's three heroines who are still alive. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:06, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- You are a student of Baradwaj Rangan, aren't you? I thought you are a journalist. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:07, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- Yes I am. And I briefly interned at The Hindu, before dropping out in favour of a higher paying job (2adpro). But once it becomes boring, I guess I'll try for full-time at The Hindu. And all the best for Tamannaah filmography's FLC, if it is happening. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:19, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- Tamilians have a strong liking for The Hindu i guess. :) Coming to Tamannaah's FLC, it began as a regular cleanup to free myself from Eega and Siva hangover, but ended up as a potential FL candidate. Taking it up or not will depend on Jaguar's availability. If he copy-edits the lead, i have to talk to NIKE 01 about the image change (this guy is very much obsessed with images) and should make necessary changes. So, if everything falls in place, FLC begins tomorrow. Reviewers will be available as WP:Atdrag ends tomorrow or on the next day. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:55, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

- Is the comments section of Rangan's wordpress accessed by a selected group, or is it open for all? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 02:50, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

Please nominate Amara Prema for deletion as it is a dubbed film.PhysicsScientist (talk) 01:41, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

Watched the film today. Decent sci-fi thriller recommended for Suriya's performance as Athreya (his look and body language reminds me of Chiranjeevi in Veta). BTW, if that watch (final version) is available, your dream of gathering contemporary articles and interviews of Kadhalikka Neramillai's team shall be possible if you can bear a current shock to charge it haha! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:26, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
- I'm certain you watched it in Telugu. The dubbing any good? Or is a lot lost in translation? Kailash29792 (talk) 16:49, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
- Srinivasa Murthy was good for all the three, but i wished Suriya would have dubbed for the scientist (he dubbed for Akhilan in Telugu version of Maattrraan). Its Chinmayi for Samantha, Ajay for himself, Saranya for herself, and Nithya Menen for herself. All important characters have good dubbing, why worry about the rest? Dialogue was brilliant on par with a straight Telugu film. But, Rahman's tunes were too foreign to find good lyrics except for the lullaby. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:56, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
- BTW, i will add the plot summary to the article now. If possible, please copy-edit it, as it was very complex. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:57, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
Had the one who dubbed for the role of Srinivasa Murthy dubbed for the role of Rohit Mehra in the Telugu versions of Krrish and Krrish 3.PhysicsScientist (talk) 01:41, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- Yes. Srinivasa Murthy dubbed for both Rohit Mehra and his son Krishna in those Telugu dubbed versions. Murthy dubbed for almost all films of Suriya (except Maattrraan) in Telugu and occasionally for Vikram. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 05:09, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion
This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident in which you may be involved. Thank you.
See the section I just opened about your editing here: Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#Kailash29792. I look forward to hearing from you there. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 07:02, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Personal attacks
Hello, I'm Jytdog. I noticed that you made a comment on the page WP:COIN that didn't seem very civil, so it has been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
I removed your comment here. It is not helpful toward getting things resolved. Jytdog (talk) 07:42, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- I am sorry if it was a personal attack; I never consider anything a PA until it contains profanity or barely concealed abuse. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:44, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- I get it that you all have been feuding; importing that to COIN just won't help. It was great that you brought the case, now please let us deal with it. Thanks again! Jytdog (talk) 07:48, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:Parasakthi.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Parasakthi.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:02, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Anbe Sivam PR
Hey bro, I've decided to open the PR for Anbe Sivam (Haven't yet opened it. About to do so). I would like to go solo for FAC on this one. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 14:18, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- All the best with the solo FAC. Do try your best and find an alternative source for the film's release date in case Dhananjayan's source is rejected. Kailash29792 (talk) 15:02, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- I've listed the article for PR here. Feel free to leave comments. Thanks. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 01:25, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
I've replaced Pride with Best now. Except for the Tamil Nadu State Awards, the review roundups and Ananda Vikatan's review, there are no other traces of Danny's book being used in Anbe Sivam. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 05:58, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- I noticed that. Didn't you find any other sources for the Tamil Nadu State Awards and Vikatan's review? Besides, do you think sending a notice to Dhananjayan will get the contents of his books rewritten? If I were to do so, unlike other case filers, I would not demand credit or money from him. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:13, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Got the ref for the awards from The Hindu. Removed the roundups and the Vikatan review. So, no use of Dhananjayan in the article now. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 09:36, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

Dates in maintenance templates
I see that in this edit you did what you referred to as "updating" two maintenance templates. However, the date in a maintenance template should show the date when the template was first added, so that editors can see over what time period concerns have been expressed, and therefore they should not be "updated". The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 12:03, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- I now see that what you did was correct, as the templates were originally given the wrong date. However, the word "updated" in your edit-summary was misleading. Something like "correcting date" might have been better. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 12:10, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Conflict of interest etc
This edit may well be justified, but even so, you really shouldn't have done it. An editor with a potential conflict of interest in an article should always be very cautious about editing it in any way, and when an edit he or she has made is reverted with conflict of interest actually given in the reason for the revert, to restore the edit is not a good idea. The main problems are with another editor, not you, but you would be better advised, I think, to keep clear of any room for doubt. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 12:37, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- Oh dear. I now see that that issue has already been dealt with on the article's talk page. I seem to be making a habit of posting messages on this page and then discovering they are already dealt with. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 12:47, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

Please.
Just stop editing it directly, OK? I know you have an itch. Self control, right? The thing I would ask you to concentrate on are the changes that need to be made to get the tags removed. Would you please propose changes that would lead to that? I would be happy to work with you. Jytdog (talk) 03:28, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- Is there a way to cease conflict of interest? Because I currently have no personal relationship with Hiphop Tamizha (HHT), and never had any official relationship either. HHT is basically two people - Adhi and Jeeva. The latter was my classmate. I never properly met Adhi. Jeeva deactivated his FB account, making communication even more impossible; besides, we were never very close friends. So that's about it; I currently have no contact with HHT and don't wish to either. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:39, 24 May 2016 (UTC)

- If I see an article in disrepair, I cannot help but try correcting it myself as admins are mostly slow to respond, plus there aren't many devoted editors from where I come (no prizes for guessing!). That is what I mean by the itch. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:38, 24 May 2016 (UTC)

Legends of Tomorrow
An explanation: a new file was uploaded as File:Legends of Tomorrow Intertitle.png because the "Logo" in the name of File:Legends of Tomorrow Logo.png no longer adequately describes the image (it is an intertitle/title card, not a logo), and the new image now matches the titles of File:Arrow Intertitle.png, File:The Flash Intertitle.png, File:Supergirl Intertitle.png, and File:Vixen Intertitle.png. - An intertitle is still a logo. WP:FMV#5 says that we only rename if the file name contains an error. Also, reposting under a different file name is not the correct way to rename a file. --Stefan2 (talk) 12:43, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

3 Billion Grossing Heroine of Bollywood
I received a thank from you but the other user surely didn't liked the change. It's funny because that same user was complaining, few days back, about asserting POV to some article. RIP Bollywood's over decorated articles and now that user has chosen to ruin some of the western articles as well.Krish | Talk 10:31, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- I don't know, but adding too much fiscal information in a BLP may stray focus from the subject, and if the article were to undergo FA reassessment, editors may certainly question it. That is why I supported the removal of "3 billion". I thought it's enough if we say those films she starred in rank among the highest grossing Indian films. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:44, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for saying that. It was fine till today, but suddenly the user changed it to add more praises. I bet if it weren't for the huge co-actors and popular music, those films would have tanked on her shoulders. Even a Piku needed positive word-of-mouth to sustain and achieve success, where was her so called "bankability"? The truth is she has never carried a film on her shoulder like Ranaut and Chopra or even Sharma but I guess PR and some fans can make that look that she has. It's a shame that the western articles are now being ruined by the same user.Krish | Talk 10:57, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

- Although Krimuk is my friend and I agree with most of his edits, there are instances where I cannot support him, such as him using expletives and personal attacks. I don't know how valid it was of him to include "3 billion" in the lede of Padukone's article, but the edit summary he gave at that time is 200% unacceptable. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:53, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- I know that. Even I respect him for his contributions. He also added a line about her being a beautiful personality, which she is but that 3 billion grossing thing was just over the top. Have you seen similar things in Meryl Streep, Scarlett Johanson, Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson's articles? No! Because gross figure is bit too much in the lead until you are Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise or Samuel L. Jackson. His lashing out at me was not new, its just all his previously explicit behaviour were sidelined because mine was always on radar of others. I want to make amends with Krimuk but I guess he won't.Krish | Talk 14:16, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

Is there any reason why your old draft, Draft:Toy Story 4, hasn't been moved to mainspace? Taking a quick glace at the references, they seem fine and the mainspace page is currently a redirect, so it'll benefit from being moved. Anarchyte (work | talk) 10:31, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
- Anarchyte, I think Toy Story 4 is already in production, as Woody's voice actor Tom Hanks has been quoted saying in this article. So the draft may be moved to the mainspace. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:35, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
- okay. I requested a G6 deletion of Toy Story 4 so that the draft can be moved. Anarchyte (work | talk) 10:56, 20 June 2016 (UTC)

Disney 2016
Disney is rocking pretty much of late this year. Zootopia is brilliant, so is Finding Dory, its Pixar product. I'm literally addicted to "Try Everything" right now. On repeat mode with it. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 15:59, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- The Jungle Book too counts. A rare example of a serious version of a comedy becoming so successful. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:42, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- Very true. But, to me the 1967 version is the better one (I haven't seen the 2016 version, but my choice would stay the same even after seeing it). A rocking Phil Harris and a terrific George Sanders! What more does one want other than these bare necessities? — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 17:26, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
Filmfare Awards South
How were the awards given until the 1990s? Were there any nominations or was the winner announced directly?PhysicsScientist (talk) 06:20, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
- I don't know, but I have the email ID of film historian G. Dhananjayan, who may know. Do you want it? Kailash29792 (talk) 07:38, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
- No, thanks.PhysicsScientist (talk) 09:51, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
GA Review
Hey Kailash, if you find some time would you mind reviewing Waiting for GA? It's a relatively small article. It would be greatly appreciated! NumerounovedantTalk 12:09, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
- Not a chance. Not because I have too little time given my office schedules, but the article appears too brief and the film released not too long ago; it is still running in theatres I think. How about you nominate it after the theatrical run ends, and the article should have sizeably expanded by then. Kailash29792 (talk) 12:32, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
- Alright Thanks! NumerounovedantTalk 12:34, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
Hey Kailash, I need to change a page's title, but I am not sure how to go about it. Point in case Arun Kumar Roy to A. K. Roy. Could help me figure out how to go about it? Thank you. NumerounovedantTalk 05:50, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- Just click the "move" button. Then you'll know what to do. Besides, are you sure you are not violating WP:COMMONNAME? Kailash29792 (talk) 05:59, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for the help. And he is definitely better known by the name AK Roy, so I believe that should not be a problem. NumerounovedantTalk 08:02, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
Hey Kailash, if you find some spare time would you mind taking a look at Waiting again, and share your views on its how it reads to you now? Thank you. NumerounovedantTalk 18:42, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
- Has its theatrical run ended? If yes, a GAN seems good. Otherwise, consult others. Kailash29792 (talk) 18:46, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
- Yes it did. There hasn't been a change in the box-office numbers for two weeks now. Thanks for the help. NumerounovedantTalk
By any chance would you have time to review it? NumerounovedantTalk 17:30, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry I don't. But I wish you all the best for GA success. Kailash29792 (talk) 18:08, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
Dhananjayan
Too disappointed with him, aren't you? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 08:38, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
- Yes. It almost feels like I wasted thousands of rupees buying both his books (though the posters in his books are still useful for scanning). If you want to know how much disappointment I have in him, it's the same amount of trust I had in him earlier. This situation can be compared to the following fictional incidents (I've made them collapsible if you want to avoid spoilers). Kailash29792 (talk) 09:26, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
Barry Allen witnesses his mother being murdered and his father being wrongfully arrested. He meets his idol Harrison Wells and teams up with him to find the murderer, only to realise it's him.

Lingesan (Vikram) is at the peak of his career when he suddenly begins deforming. While he believes his old enemies (the model John, the bodybuilder Ravi, the industrialist Indrakumar and the stylist Osma) are responsible for injecting the virus into him, it is actually his old friend Vasudevan (Suresh Gopi) who did so.

- Reminds me of Mahesh Babu and Sonu Sood's story in Athadu as well. I think the books still can be used to destub articles and GA-level articles. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 13:33, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
Article for deletion
Please nominate Greeku Veerudu (1998 film) for deletion. It is currently redirected to Dasari Narayana Rao.PhysicsScientist (talk) 00:34, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
Not sure what's your point since the image is rendered smaller even than the resolution I used in the infobox, but I suppose that resolution is still low enough for a poster, so I'm not going to argue about it. nyuszika7h (talk) 11:04, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, you don't argue further about it. The 280px image was malformed, so I replaced it with a properly formed 270px one. Kailash29792 (talk) 11:06, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
- None of the images were 250px, only your version at 10:53 was malformed (it isn't as bad as it looks on the thumbnail, though the color was off – if mine looked stretched that's due to caching, you need to purge the article). nyuszika7h (talk) 11:09, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
Shah Rukh Khan
Hello Kailash29792 (talk), you recently undid my revision on the page Shah Rukh Khan. We all know that, Info seekers are going to read Infobox first, than they will read "early life". In case they head there and read. And his graduation University must be available right at the top. That's why I restored it. In case you think I have done a wrong thing, you can message me. Cheers.
