Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello Kamatsu, welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed nobody had said hi yet... Hi!

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, --Alf melmac 10:52, 20 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

I know I went overboard with the userboxes

edit

Hey, Just noticed also that you put "I know I went overboard with the userboxes" as a heading.... the wikimarkup for making things bold is to use three apostrophes, '''Bold Text Here''' and italics is just ''Italic Text''

I know, quite intentional.

David Zindell's Neverness

edit

Was wondering if you have a source for "While David Zindell maintains there are no similarities between his sci-fi series: Neverness and the A Requiem for Homo Sapiens series, and his fantasy series, The Ea Cycle" on the Neverness page, since as far as I know he's always said that the Ea Cycle is an alternative reality take on the universe from A Requiem for Homo Sapiens, similar to what Michael Moorcock does. I don't currently seem to have a codec which actually plays the sound of this (very frustrating), but I think this video on the voyager website might have included a mention of it... 80.60.87.115 20:00, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes, there was an interview with David Zindell I read that incorporated that, however, I think that it has vanished from google.. hmm Kamatsu 22:48, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hanuman Li Tosh

edit

Hanuman Li Tosh has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this fiction-related subject might not be appropriate for its own article. Please review Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so. For instance, it is often best to merge material about characters into a single list of characters instead of having separate articles for each.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" notice, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod notice, the deletion process will stop, but if an editor is still not satisfied that the article meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for consensus. Kalinda of Qallar

edit

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Kalinda of Qallar, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ChoirCrest2a.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:ChoirCrest2a.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:28, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
