If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.
If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alphax τεχ 07:27, 10 October 2005 (UTC)
Archive pages
editYou might want to know that your comment here was made on an archive page, not an active talk page, so probably very few people will see it. -- Jmabel | Talk 04:40, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Jodorowskys Dune.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Jodorowskys Dune.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

How does "science fiction / fantasy film" sound? That is the genre label that a number of movie sites have given The Fountain. (If you want the specific sites, just ask.) I'd like to inform you that I did not remove the original genre of "science fiction film" of my own basis, but instead in line with the concerns expressed by two other editors if that was the best label. Also, how would you describe in a NPOV tone (since you consider the current sentence to be that) the film? The sentence was written because per WP:LEAD guidelines, so it is meant to be a summary of the context that was below. See FA-class V for Vendetta for similar lead paragraphs. In addition, what other examples of fancruft do you see? The lead sentence for the Themes section is a summary statement that is fleshed out by the various examples in the section (religion = Bible, Buddha; mythology = "modern myth" quote; psychology = "survivor's guilt"), but I'll give you the technology one. There's not really any information about it, so I'll remove it. Let me know what other examples you see. Also, you state that there is a a large share of unsourced information — where? I see a citation behind every handful of sentences, and the context in which the citations are applied seem encyclopedic, not "speculative". Furthermore, "Coming out of the theater, Aronofsky thought to himself, 'What kind of science fiction movie can people make now?'" is directly from the very first citation in which he tells the story of how he came to conceive of the film. --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 15:24, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- If you have any further suggestions to make, feel free to make them on the talk page. I'd be happy to discuss any further changes to continue improving the article. --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 18:08, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sardaukar2.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Sardaukar2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. El Jigue
editHello Kessingler. I too have tried to get EJ to use the 'talk pages' properly, but was rebuffed by the other editors who frequent those Cuban related pages (they argued that EJ should be ignored/given leeway). As you've already discovered, he 'refuses' to go by Wikipedia rules/policies (saying Cuban soureces are un-reliable & Wikipedia censures the truth) & simply responds to his detracter , suggesting they're communists (he did this with Administrator Durova. Nobody seems to want to 'block' him anymore or outright 'ban' him. I just protest (time to time), even when I have trouble understanding his responses. PS- he also likes to hand out 'nicknames', when confronted. GoodDay 22:05, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- If you want, you can report him to the Wikipedia: Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. GoodDay 19:18, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
