Birth dates for English and Danish kings

edit

I have removed the birth dates you have been adding for English and Danish kings. I am not sure where you are getting them, and some of them are clearly false (Gorm the Old, for example, can't even be pinned down to a precise birth decade). It was very unusual for early-Medieval scribes to report birth dates, and for the vast majority of people, all we have are approximations. However, internet sources frequently fill his void with false dates. Thus it is important when you add a precise date you document it with a specific citation, so that false dates don't sneak in or authentic dates get deleted out of an excess of caution. I would recommend that if you have what you think is a reliably-sources date that you raise it on the respective Talk pages first and see that there is consensus for its reliability before adding it to the article.
