When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to Kareena Kapoor Khan filmography, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube or Sci-Hub, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 11:30, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, I'm ZLEA. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, HAL Tejas, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ZLEA T\C 19:43, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

HAL HLFT-42

edit

I noticed that you added HAL HLFT-42 to the See also sections of many fighter aircraft articles. Since the HLFT-42 is primarily a trainer/LCA, it should be added to the See also sections of aircraft of similar roles. I've reverted many of your additions, but I have left the additions to trainer/LCA articles. - ZLEA T\C 05:24, 19 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

HAL HLFT-42 is comparable to light-weight two-seater fighter jets, such as the KAI FA-50 or the two-seater variant of HAL Tejas. The manufacturer claims that it will have advanced avionics and an EW suite, essential features for a fighter jet. Therefore, I kindly request you to refrain from reverting many of my additions, especially in the 'see also' sections of articles related to light and medium-weight fighter jets King Ayan Das (talk) 05:55, 19 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I think you misunderstood what I meant. The See also section is generally for aircraft with a similar primary role. Aircraft such as the F-16 and Tejas are primarily fighters, and while they do have two-seat variants, that does not make them similar to the HLFT-42. Most fighters have two-seat variants, so using that to judge similarity would make for very cluttered See also sections. - ZLEA T\C 09:37, 19 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
If you disagree, feel free to start a discussion about it at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aviation. - ZLEA T\C 09:43, 19 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to HAL HF-73, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Echo1Charlie (talk) 14:53, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Misrepresentation of sources in HAL HPT-32 Deepak

edit

In [edit] you claimed that this source says that the HAL HPT-32 Deepak is a development of the HAL HT-2, which it doesn't and is clearly nonsense - what the source actually says is it was developed as a replacement for the HT-2, which is something completely different. In addition you claim that the source says that 144 HPT-32s were built, which it doesn't and that production continued until 1993, which the source doesn't say. It is entirely unacceptable to misrepresent the content of sources like this. Do not do this again.Nigel Ish (talk) 16:27, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

List of active Indian military aircraft

edit

Please don’t add or change content without verifying it by citing a reliable source, as you have done on the List of active Indian military aircraft article. Also do NOT insert flagcons into the tables MOS:FLAGCRUFT -Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources –Thank you FOX 52 talk! 05:44, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

In related Wikipedia pages like List of active Pakistan Air Force aircraft, List of active Russian military aircraft, flag icons are also inserted. I add them to enhance the visual appearance of this article. Please don't revert all edits instantly. Which edits did I make in this article that were also made in related articles, but there were no reversions of these edits? King Ayan Das (talk) 06:14, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Disruptive editing

  DO NOT engaged in an disruptive editing as you are doing on List of active Indian military aircraft article. You are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid conflicts. You must adhere to the regulations as required by the Wikipedia community, If you continue engage in this behavior you will be blocked from editing. FOX 52 talk! 07:00, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I understand that inserting flag icons into the tables violates Wikipedia guidelines. King Ayan Das (talk) 07:45, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
@King Ayan Das: Again you're creating more problems - "breaks" create issues for smaller screen, and additionally moving things around are not really an improvement- if you have number change(s) or additional aircraft that's fine - FOX 52 talk! 23:53, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

World Cup Moves

edit

I have reverted your page moves of Cricket World Cup on the basis that it did not qualify as an uncontroversial move as there had been a previous discussion about the title of the page. I have also reverted the related pages moves of Women's Cricket World Cup and History of the Cricket World Cup as believe these could be controversial. You are welcome to submit a formal move request for these articles through the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. JP (Talk) 12:28, 15 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Next West Bengal Legislative Assembly election. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited ICC Test Championship Mace, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Steve Smith. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

August 2024

edit

Your recent editing history at Non-cooperation movement (2024) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Non-cooperation movement (2024)) for a period of 2 weeks for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:47, 13 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
