Thanks for uploading Image:Redvershomes.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. -SCEhardT 22:53, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Bermuda Shorts Day page will retain its deletion status until it no longer meets deletion criteria. Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:Deletion policy before you go and remove the tag again. The page does not conform to the Wikipedia style guide either, as it lacks references, formatting, a stub tag, links to it, a category (of which, there is at least one appropriate one for this site), and a correctly inserted photo. As it stands now, the page fails for the following reasons (does not meet Wikipedia standards):

  • It contains only trivial information. Consider expanding it. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is NOT a repository for any old information. As an ENCYCLOPEDIA,any information presented should be of encyclopedic QUALITY.
  • It is too short to be its own article. Consider merging it with the article, University of Calgary or expanding it.
  • It is not written in a way that is appropritate for an encyclopedia. Consider revising the language.
  • It is an orphan. Orphaned pages in Wikipedia are automatically subject to removal.

Removing the tag again without addressing the above issues will likely be considered vandalism. I would also recommend that you familiarize yourself with all Wikipedia policies and the intention of Wikipedia before you make more blanket statements about what this site should and should not be. Please sign your comments in the future. --Arch26 16:19, 19 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
