Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Bellevue Strategies
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Bellevue Strategies, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of http://www.bellevuestrategies.com/. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. DGG ( talk ) 05:58, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

editHi, thanks for message. Please add your messages to the bottom of the talk page, or they may be overlooked. I've done this for you. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the company, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company claims or interviewing its management. Most of your text was unsourced or sourced only to unacceptable sources like those I've just listed. Note that references should not be bare urls.
- it's all about what the sells, little about the company organisation itself other than its locations. To show notability you need hard verifiable facts such as the number of employees, turnover or profits. About one-third of your article veers off writing about the company to become a biography of its founder instead.
- it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced or self-sourced claims presented as fact include: experience, and technological expertise to aid in services for their clients... Bellevue assists their clients... they are able to combine their interpersonal skills with their media skills to influence advocates. They push public policy to shift public opinion and behavior, a strategy that brings successful advocacy to their clients— and so on, a totally fact-free sales pitch.
- I saw that the article was created in a single edit without wikilinks or references, and looks as if was copied from an unknown and possibly copyrighted source. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, and text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. I didn't check for copyright since the article was just spam anyway, but something to bear in mind.
- Thank you for declaring your conflict of interest. I've fixed the formatting for you on your user page. You are still strongly discouraged from from attempting to write an article at all, because paid editors tend to write articles praising their employers rather than encyclopaedic articles.
- I am creating a page for the company I work for...— it's not your company's page, it's not your page, it's our page about your company, see ownership of content
Before attempting to write an article again, please read Your first article. Make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also give us real facts rather than meaningless claims.
