Battle of Valion moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Battle of Valion, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs expansion to provide sufficient context to readers (where and when did the battle take place, etc); if possible, some citations of online sources would be useful. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Battle of the first Parwan moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Battle of the first Parwan, is not suitable as written to remain published. As with the Battle of Valion article, this article needs further expansion/development to explain where and when the battle took place, if it was part of a bigger war, etc, plus addition of further references (ideally, some which are online).
Paul W (talk) 13:22, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
- There is no detailed explanation about the first Parwan battle. If you want the pre-war development, where the battle was fought and the history of the battle, I can write them down, but as I said, there is not much information about the battle. Please understand me. Kurya Khan (talk) 14:37, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

Your recent articles
editHello Kurya Khan. The articles you're creating, such as Draft:The Battle of Valion, seem to be translations from another Wikipedia article. For example, you've cited "Sverdrup, Carl (2017), Moğol Fetihleri Cengiz Han ve Sübe'etei'nin Askeri Operasyonları , West Midlands: Helion & Company Limited" in that draft, but I can't find that title online by Sverdrup in Turkish, except for in Wikipedia mirrors of an older article, such as this article from stringfixer.com, Mohi Savaşı.
I can find a 2017 book in English by Carl Sverdrup, titled The Mongol Conquests: The Military Operations of Genghis Khan and Sube'etei, but it doesn't seem to have been translated inTo Turkish yet. Can you please explain? Thanks, Storchy (talk) 17:18, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Battle of Nesa
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Battle of Nesa. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Battle of the Indus. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Battle of the Indus. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Storchy (talk) 17:25, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

October 2022
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jalen Folf (talk) 19:01, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
The article Battle of Belh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
A minor battle, not covered by WP:SIGCOV in any reliable sources. Aside from anything else, though, the text is a very obvious paraphrasing of one paragraph in Beatrice Manz, and is thus plagiarism.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 17:36, 20 October 2022 (UTC)

- Hello, Kurya Khan,
- I know that tempers can rise when editing some topics but it should never get to the point where you are attacking another editor or making unsubstantiated accusations against them. If you find yourself getting angry, it's probably to log off of the project for a while or work on a neutral article about another subject. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 05:32, 21 October 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Battle of Capakhchur
editAlthough everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as Battle of Capakhchur, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

Attribution for translated content
edit Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from one or more pages to Battle of Capakhchur. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. For example: Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.
It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk pages of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, please add attribution retrospectively for that also, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:56, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
The article Battle of Tashkent has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
After reviewing this page extensively, there is poor lack of citations to verify if this even happened. Some of the sources on this page I removed didn't even mention the battle, or failed WP:HISTRS.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

- I see you have cited a book by Christoph Baumer there, purportedly titled The History of Central Asia: The Age of the Steppe Warrior. Perhaps this was differently titled in other languages, but I see no indication of that at here. More generally, it would appear that extremely unlikely that "Tibetans" were in involved in that purported siege. I do note that there has been some chit-chat in internet forums about this supposed siege. Absent of reliable sources (whether in English, or not, it doesn't matter) I re-confirm my assertion that the purported "Siege of Termez" is essentially fictional. As always, please do prove me wrong about this. 11:38, 24 December 2023 (UTC)--Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 13:17, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
