Question
Hello Latics, I noticed that you revert vandalism occasionally. Would you like me to grant your account rollback rights to make vandal-fighting easier for you? Just remember that rollback, like Twinkle, should only be used to revert vandalism, and that misuse of the tool can lead to its removal. Tell me what you think. Thanks. Acalamari 16:10, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
- Rollback granted. :) Good luck! Acalamari 16:30, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:ALE-NYY-Logo.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:ALE-NYY-Logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:21, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

He's in line to make his debut in the Championship today. So why on earth do you want to delete the article??? I quite clearly wrote this fact in my edit summary. --Rml123 (talk) 09:38, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
I did make it clear he was going to make his debut. Next time, read it more carefully before you go around deleting other people's work. Just causes unnecessary work deleting and adding and arguing etc --Rml123 (talk) 10:09, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

KVMX
There's a station in Bakersfield that's going to be using the KVMX call letters soon. The station already changed it according to the (call sign history) for the FCC. Don't know if you know how to move a page, but once the FCC site offically says KBKO-FM is KVMX, then the KBKO-FM page will need to be moved to KVMX. Once that happens, I'll put something at the top to redirect people to the other page for the station that use to use KVMX. For now, might not want to put up the redirect page, and I'll put a little thing at the top of the page that says "For the station previously at KVMX, see KXJM" or what ever the new call letters are. I'll make sure that gets put in, or when KBKO-FM moves to KVMX, you can had that in. Hopefully you know what I'm talking about, that little heading. If you go to KTPI-FM, you can see an example of the little heading I'm talking about on that page. Once KBKO-FM is at the KVMX, we can definitely put that put in there for the former KVMX station. Thanks. --JoeCool950 (talk) 22:23, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
KVMX
That's o.k. I've added the little deal for KXJM at top. Let me know if that saying is o.k., because I'm aware of KXJM using KVMX. They have it up there. The FCC page hasn't offically changed KBKO-FM to KVMX, but know there's a redirect. Once the FCC page has it changed to KVMX, then KBKO-FM can move over to KVMX. Thanks. --JoeCool950 (talk) 22:33, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
2003-03 Season
You mean you missed the 2003-03 season? ;) Calebrw (talk) 04:04, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Perhaps they did, I can't quite remember now that you mention it. Then again, I have occasional employment, which puts me up on 99.99% of Liverpool fans. (The .01% is the team itself.) I know, that's horrible thing to say. Calebrw (talk) 04:08, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Wow it's me Versus the entire word when it comes Carlos Tevez. I've looked at everything lately on Tevez and seen that Tevez is on a 2 season loan with Manchester United but they may buy him sometime in October. Maybe I should just e-mail Sky Sports or ESPN or someone and ask about Carlos Tevez.

Fixed up the page that said KBKO could refer to two radio stations because KBKO-FM is now KVMX, so there's only one KBKO page. I put a redirect for KBKO (AM), so that people know that AM 1490 is now the only KBKO. Hopefully that's o.k. to do. --JoeCool950 (talk) 22:50, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
I forgot to add that stuff that you added in the summary, sorry, but it works. I did what you did. Just forgot to add under the edit summary what I was doing. Thanks for adding that's what was being done. is KBKO 96.5 doesn't exist and is now KVMX, needed to make that change for KBKO for AM 1490. --JoeCool950 (talk) 23:01, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
KBKO-FM
I'm wondering if we should put in a requested move to an administrator for KBKO-FM, so they can make the move official. I see someone already moved to to KVMX. Don't know if Nancy is an administor or not. If so, maybe she can fix the only KBKO now. Thanks.--JoeCool950 (talk) 23:12, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks
I thought Nancy was an administrator. She would be better to make that move. We both kind of butchered the KBKO page. She could make the move correctly. --JoeCool950 (talk) 23:25, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Administrator Nancy
I sent Nancy a message, because she'll see me on there, so that she knows I didn't mean to butcher the page, but that she should be the one to move it and not me. I'm not going to even touch KBKO (AM), since Nancy is an administor. There's a certain way you've got to make the move, and she'd know how to do it. I just told her all the info you told her is what we both would like done. I'm sure she wouldn't mind doing that. That was cool of her to make the move of KBKO-FM to KVMX. Hopefully, no more moves for these stations again for awhile.--JoeCool950 (talk) 23:43, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
I went ahead and disambiguated the page for the time being, for people that type in KBKO to know that KBKO-FM is now KVMX. That should solve the butchered page problem until it can be moved properly. You can look at KBKO to see what I've done. That's how it should be though for the time being, so no other changes should be done to it now until an administrator makes the move later on. I keep in touch with Rob De 68 who can make the change for us eventually.--JoeCool950 (talk) 01:10, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

undoing my entry Terry Young
Dear Latics,
I noted that twice you undid an entry I am building for the artist Terry Young.
Are you an official Wikipedia editor? If so what is the problem? I am new to this and this is my first entry so I am hoping that I did not vandalize anything! (as the comment in my messages suggests).
Thanks!

Also, if you don't mind I had a look at your page and noticed that you appear to be British and living in Tennessee. If I am not mistaken, may I ask how you find this change and what brings you to 'the states'?

I was curious to see if anyone was actually prepared to defend this nonsensical article. It is clearly a joke - there is no such pastime. So why defend it? Surely there must be a simple way of getting rid of joke articles like this without having to go through the pretence of a serious dialogue? Excalibur (talk) 09:30, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Weezerred2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Weezerred2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Image copyright problem
Thanks for your uploads. You've indicated that the following images are being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why they meet Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page an image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

I noticed that you're working on developing bowl game articles for each of Alabama's bowl games. I'm currently engaged in a project to get each Virginia Tech bowl game article to GA status or higher and was wondering if you'd be interested in cooperating to get the '98 Music City Bowl article up to GA status. I've got a format that works pretty well; it's just the matter of adding sources and getting the stuff written down. JKBrooks85 (talk) 22:35, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- Take a look at 2008 Orange Bowl; that's a featured article and the mold I'd probably follow in building the article up. If you could build the Alabama team selection and pregame buildup sections, it'd be an enormous help. Unless, of course, you've got a different plan. :) JKBrooks85 (talk) 22:44, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

For your information Alabama was tied for 3rd in the SEC west in 2007. I don't know why you keep changing that back to 5th place.

Nick Saban article
Did you NOT read the link I furnished from the Alabama Media Guide?
Alabama finished tied for 3rd not 5th.
The links you provided to secsports.com gave the tie breakers to decide who represents the west in the Championship game. The other places do not need a tie breaker.
Also, Alabama beat Arkansas head to head last year and that is the first of the tie breakers that is used. Using your own links that would place Bama ahead of Arkansas. But like I said it wasn't needed as it wouldn't determine the representative in the championship game anyway.
The links you provided showing the final results are listed with overall record highest, however that doesn't change the fact that Bama, Arkansas and Miss. State all tied for 3rd in the SEC with 4-4 records. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.113.65.140 (talk) 23:55, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Check out page 23. Straight from the SEC it lists Alabama as being tied for 3rd in the final SEC west standings.
Maybe that is clear enough for you. But, I doubt it.

Welcome to the latest issue of the College football WikiProject newsletter! I hope that you're enjoying regular updates about the goings on of college football on Wikipedia, but if not, feel free to add your name to the "no delivery" section on the newsletter signup page. I encourage everyone to make regular visits to the College Football Portal and perhaps make it your Wikipedia entry page instead of using the Main Page as your gateway. Nominations for selected articles and pictures are always welcome, and can serve as a great way to show off that new article you just shepherded to Good Article status or the great picture you took the last time you were at a game. Comments and suggestions on improving the newsletter are always welcome, and help me improve it on a monthly basis. Keep contributing and editing, and don't hesitate to contact me or post on the College Football Wikiproject talk page if you need help or just want someone to look over your article. | |

The Seattle Sounders kick off the 2009 MLS season at Qwest Field in Seattle on March 19 against the New York Red Bulls. Their first match in history, do you think they'll win that. – Michael 04:17, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Nat'l/SEC Champ chart
Lots of good contributions to the Crimson Tide football article. I noticed your work on the championships chart, and do think the edits to make it more condensed work. Noticed though that the years with symbols next to them make them look weird and out of line with the rest of the years. Italicize all the years in which they were SEC co-champions perhaps? And then add small text underneath explaining the 1941 and 1992 seasons? Just a thought. - LS Shoals (talk) 10:48, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- re: new chart -- I personally think it looks great. It may not be quite as simplified as how it is now, but aesthetically I think it's better. Would it be best to run the idea through some of the other frequent editors of the main article on its talk page? It definitely gets my vote. - LS Shoals (talk) 02:20, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks!
Just wanted to say thanks for converting all those bowl logos to .png format. Your work is definitely appreciated. JKBrooks85 (talk) 08:01, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:ALC-CWS-Logo.png)
Thanks for uploading File:ALC-CWS-Logo.png.
Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:20, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Request for Comment on College Football logos
Users opposing the use of College Football team logos being used in articles through out the College Football project have filed a Request for Comment trying to ban use of team logos. As I am sure you know our current standard/system of using logos legitimately with fair use rationales do not violate any wikipedia policy. It would be appreciated if you could take a moment and voice you opinion on the subject here: RFC: Use of logos on sports team pages. Thank you in advance and thank you for your contributions to the College Football Project. Rtr10 (talk) 04:30, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Manchester United seasons articles
Hey man, I saw the update to your status over at WP:MUFC. Will you be focusing on creating the seasonal articles or cleaning up the existing ones first? If the former, could I ask that you leave the remaining pre-1902 ones to me. I have a fantastic source for those seasons, even better than the club's official stats site, so it would probably be best if I did those. I would suggest doing the title-winning seasons first, perhaps starting with the 1967-68 season. Good luck. – PeeJay 09:17, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
- Something is (almost) always better than nothing. As usual, just do what you can. With your track record, I'm sure whatever you produce will be fantastic. – PeeJay 18:35, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
- Nice work on the 1967-68 article. It just needs some minor changes to make it the same as the other seasons, but I'll do that later. KUTGW. – PeeJay 21:08, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
- I would recomend article about 1957-1958 season.DoctorHver (talk) 00:37, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Transfer Deadline Extended Again
Why does English Soccer have a problem with finishing their transfer period on weekends? I need a response. – Michael (talk) 00:46, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Copyright concerns; tagging
Hello, Latics. Thank you for pointing out your copyright concerns with File:12. Ben Foster.jpg. I'm dropping you a line just to let you know that the tag that you placed on the image, {{copyvio}}, is specifically used for text that violates copyright. For images that are clear copyright violations, you can follow the procedure for speedy deletion. For images that are suspected to be copyright violations, we have a review board for possibly unfree images. For images used under suspect non-free content criteria, we have non-free content review. Other image copyright concerns are handled in various ways (see Wikipedia:Guide to image deletion for specifics.) I have addressed this image, but I wanted to let you know for future use in case you should encounter another image that raises concerns. Thanks again for pointing out the problem. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 03:56, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Thank you...
...for having my back on all the cleanup you've done on my edits on Alabama Crimson Tide football. - LS Shoals (talk) 05:12, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Brian Johnson (quarterback)
Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I undid some of your edits. Grammatically, I believe it is improper to hyphenate a phrase like "25 yards", because the "25" modifies the "yards". If the entire phrase modifies a noun, such as "25-yard touchdown" or something of that nature, then the hyphen would be required. Thanks. Strikehold (talk) 12:51, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
