Re: Your email

edit

This account was blocked as per Berean Hunter's CU findings in Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Yobtar1 that it was technically connected to other accounts involved in undisclosed paid editing. In addition, behavioral evidence gave an impression that this account, too, was involved in these advertising efforts. In order to request an unblock, you may follow the guidance at WP:GAB. Request reason:

I don't know how to use this so I'm just giving it a shot. I'd like an unblock so I can continue to edit the pages of my favorite influencers. If not, I get it. I suppose an early retirement will have to suffice. Thanks.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 17:15, 20 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Hello, I looked at the article provided to request an unblock. I can understand why there was a block request on my username. I humbly ask for it to be lifted as I solemnly swear to be more careful with the powers of editing. If you see my contributions page, you will definitely see reputable changes done to a few pages, it was for comedians that I admire. That's what I'm really interested in doing and would like to keep that up.

Decline reason:

The chances that by some random accident another account which is technically indistinguishable from yours happens to edit the same draft as you are negligible. I have to conclude that you're not truthful or at best deliberately evasive: "I only have one with this email address and IP address." And how many with other email addresses and/or other IP addresses do you have? I see no reason to lift this block. Huon (talk) 21:48, 26 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Are you planning on addressing your misuse of multiple accounts in any way? SQLQuery me! 23:48, 22 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Is that what I'm being accused of? I'm not using multiple accounts. I only have one account and it's linked to my email. I'm actually not sure how you all came to that conclusion. If that could be explained to me, I'd appreciate it. And also User talk:SQL, I'm not appreciating your condescension. Clearly I'm new to wiki editing and really not interested in getting into it with a troll. Check my contributions page before you say anything. It's all legit.
CheckUsers have special tools that let them analyse accounts for technical connections. Yours was determined to be connected to other accounts that have edited abusively. - The Bushranger One ping only 02:07, 23 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
As above. It's beyond an 'I am accused of this' thing. Checkusers have access to advanced technical information. You have been abusing multiple accounts. Would you like to address this issue? SQLQuery me! 02:55, 23 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
As I stated earlier, I'm not using multiple accounts and I'm not sure how to prove that. Are these tools that you speak of showing you which accounts are with which IP addresses or email addresses? I only have one with this email address and IP address. I guess I won't edit random pages anymore and just stick to a genre. If the block can't be lifted, then it's really not a big deal. I just started doing this wiki editing stuff anyway. When will I know the results? And will it affect any of my edits?
