Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement: "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike".

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the Help Desk. You can also leave a message on my talk page.

Specifically, note that he S.A. parliment's web site does not allow commercial re-use, therefore is not a compatible license to use here. See: [1]. Thanks, CrowCaw 14:55, 22 October 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Libbielibdem

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that the page you created, Libbielibdem, was tagged as a test page under section G2 of the criteria for speedy deletion and has been or soon may be deleted. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please see WP:Username policy. I believe your name violates it as being WP:POLEMIC. Please change it. Thanks. Beyond My Ken (talk) 10:02, 2 December 2017 (UTC)

Hello, Lefcentreright. Concerns have been raised that your username may be incompatible with policy. You can contribute to the discussion about it at the page for requests for comment on usernames. Alternatively, if you agree that your username may be problematic and are willing to change it, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name. Simply request a new name at Wikipedia:Changing username following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Drakenstein Municipal Council

The article Drakenstein Municipal Council has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No sources or content within body. Please improve

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ‡ Єl Cid of ᐺalencia ᐐT₳LKᐬ 18:16, 11 December 2017 (UTC)

Please do not add unsourced content to articles

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Mcebisi Jonas, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 13:00, 12 December 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Cilia Flores, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cojedes (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Please don't download copyright images from the internet and upload them to Wikipedia as your own work if they are not (see [2], [3] [4]). Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Northern Cape Provincial Legislature into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:42, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Donald Grant (South African politician)

Hello, Lefcentreright. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Donald Grant (South African politician), for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Donald Grant (South African politician) to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks,

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, Lefcentreright. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Xolani Sotashe moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Xolani Sotashe, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 11:38, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Xolani Sotashe

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Xolani Sotashe. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Draft:Xolani Sotashe. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Draft:Xolani Sotashe. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at [[Talk:Draft:Xolani Sotashe|the article's talk page]].

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Cabayi (talk) 11:43, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

File:Good political party logo.jpeg

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. RonBot (talk) 18:02, 3 December 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Good political party logo.jpeg

Thanks for uploading File:Good political party logo.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:42, 25 December 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Anton Bredell

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Anton Bredell requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.westerncape.gov.za/news/appointment-western-cape-provincial-cabinet and https://www.westerncape.gov.za/eadp/about-us/meet-minister. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Suid-Afrikaanse politici

Jy skryf op jou bladsy "My goal is to empty the infamous "Category:South African politician stubs". Nothing annoys more than when people create an article, slap a stub template on it and just abandon it." waarvan ek baie hou en dit bring my juis tot die vraag: Sal jy jou belangrike werk soos jy dit vir die Engelse Wikipedia doen ook vir die Afrikaanse Wikipedia kan doen? Net indien jy wil en jou tyd dit toelaat, natuurlik. :) Dit sal baie nuttig wees. Ons van die Afrikaanse Wikipedia sal jy help waar ons kan. Voorspoed vir die nuwe week. Groete. --   SpesBona 22:45, 24 February 2019 (UTC)

Goeienaand Lefcentreright, baie dankie. Dit lyk baie beter. Hou só aan en laat weet, as ek jou kan help. Jy is meer as welkom op die Afrikaanse Wikipedia! Groete. --   SpesBona 18:15, 10 April 2019 (UTC)

@Conlinp: Hi - thanks again for the templates. I was thinking, why don't we make separate articles for the provincial elections, such as "2019 Gauteng provincial election" to give context about the parties and political situation in the province. I have already created the article "2019 Western Cape provincial election". Do you agree with my proposal? Have a great week! Lefcentreright (talk) 20:11, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
