NZ annuals

Dunno if you care or not, but the 2010 NZ year-end singles and albums charts are out. Adabow (talk · contribs) 09:06, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Yipeeee. Why were they so late? — Legolas (talk2me) 09:50, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
I can't believe that Ichhhh Susan Boyle is occupying the two top album spots. I cannot stand her voice or music :S--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 09:54, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Dunno, maybe they tracked the whole year. TVNZ published some in December, but the list has changed a bit since. And Nathan, Boyle is mega-popular with the 40+ demographic. She went 10x platinum (at least) with her debut. Adabow (talk · contribs) 10:25, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Yes, Boyle is even somewhat popular in the adult demographic in India. Something the youngsters haven't been able to capture at all. — Legolas (talk2me) 10:28, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Completely understandable. She's so yawn-inducing. Although I like that she covered Don't Dream It's Over. Adabow (talk · contribs) 10:32, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Legolas is right. Even my teachers like her :O My friends don't.. They're into Kesha, Gaga, Cruz and some newer artists. Novice7 | Talk 10:38, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Well I still don't see it. I mean I can appreciate older and AC stuff. I love Celine, old Whitney and a lot of others, just SB pisses me off lol. I think she's too overrated.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 10:40, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Am I the only one who likes jazz and flamenco? Yeah agreed Susan Boyle is a joke. anything related to Simon Cowell is... Mullet aside, this is true musicianship, not some spawn of Simon Cowell...Dr. Blofeld 12:05, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Re: Grammy Award for Video of the Year

Thank you so much for taking the time to offer a GA review for the article. Feel free (if you wish) to strike or cap resolved concerns on the review page so that it is easier to tell what remains to be addressed. Hopefully I will have plenty of time this weekend to expand the article. --Another Believer (Talk) 20:45, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

Will do. — Legolas (talk2me) 05:40, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks again for your review. FYI: I just listed "Grammy Award for Best Performance Music Video" at GAN. --Another Believer (Talk) 16:41, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

... and the award for Best Concept Music Video. --Another Believer (Talk) 18:05, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Question..

Hey Legolas, in the article The Big 4 Live from Sofia, Bulgaria the citations use Blabbermouth.net and not the official charts to confirm certifications and chart positions. Also, with other redundant sentences and what I believe wrong formatting of track listing I quick failed the article but now the reviewer disagrees with my decision. What is your input? Thanks =D--Blackjacks101 (talk) 02:15, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

(WP:Talk page stalker) → I left some comments on the community review page. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 02:29, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank you Lil, I will also check this. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:54, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Blackjacks, you did the absolute right thing. I was impressed with your review. If there is any problem in the GAR, ping me. Lil-unique already pointed the major discrepancies. — Legolas (talk2me) 05:49, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks guys =D, I was starting to second guess myself!--Blackjacks101 (talk) 12:10, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
No problem lego. The user who requested community reassessment has not even filled out the request properly. He's not even listed why he/she things the GAR fail was incorrect. And Blackjacks it was a good review. Sometimes users who've written several previous articles which have gone GA forget that each article is taken on a count by count basis. You have to assess new articles against the GA criteria not other GAs. good call overall. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 13:06, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Case in point, my first failed nomination was "Dance in the Dark", reviewed by sockpuppet. Bwahahahahaha! — Legolas (talk2me) 08:07, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

What Goes Around... Reassessment

Hey. I'd just like to know what your thoughts are about What Goes Around.../...Comes Around being a GA. I was going to attempt to fix it up to keep it at GA level, but it just lacks a lot of things, and I don't feel like it was correctly reviewed in the first place. Please, if you can, leave your comments here. Thanks so much! nding·start 23:07, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Another question

Hi! I was wondering if you could identify song structure from this sheet music. It starts with chorus, then verse.. Can you help, please? Novice7 | Talk 08:01, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Fuck!!! I forgot your Peer review!! So sorry dude, will get to it soon. — Legolas (talk2me) 08:02, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
It's okay =D I know you're busy both in Wiki and in real life. Whenever possible :) About the song structure? Is it something like chorus–verse ?? Novice7 | Talk 08:05, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi again! I just wanted to know if there are any sources for verifying Canadian Singles Chart positions. The article is Thank God I Found You. It references Canoe, but I cannot see any archive?? Novice7 | Talk 15:19, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Allmusic. — Legolas (talk2me) 15:47, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Oh, thank you. I was searching for Lady Gaga's Bad Romance information, but stumbled upon this and this. I thought it might be helpful to you :) Novice7 | Talk 16:10, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

A lot many thanks for taking the onus. I did already had them though. — Legolas (talk2me) 10:52, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi! Legolas, is it okay if we add references to the lead. The lead should summarize and should not have any additional information, right? Novice7 | Talk 12:45, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

It depends, and changes from article to article. Ideally if a particular content is sourced in body, we don't source it in lead. — Legolas (talk2me) 13:27, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh. Thank you so much for explaining :) Novice7 | Talk 13:42, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Quick question

Here's a quick question/scenario - A song was released worldwide for digital download, and was released to US radio, equipped with music video, single cover, live performances, & the works. However, when the album tracklist was revealed, the song was only included as a bonus track on the Japan version of the album. Would the song still be considered the album's lead single? This scenario is Ciara's "Go Girl." Candyo32 - Happy New Year :) 17:18, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

Duh. Its still the lead single. No where it is written that the lead single has to be released everywhere, and needs to be in every version of the album. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:46, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Ok, well what about for Nicki Minaj's "Massive Attack" which hasn't even present on the album. That would just be a non-album single not the lead, right? Candyo32 - Happy New Year :) 17:29, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Exactly Candy. And I can understnad why they left that mess. "Check It Out" and "Your Love" FTWW!!!! — Legolas (talk2me) 05:54, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Hahaaa! Lol. "We got tomm tommz of here bigga then a monstaa!" Massive Attack was the ishh. Candyo32 - Happy New Year :) 15:06, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Nahh Candy, that track actually made me hate Minaj. Thank god "Your Love" came. That immediately made me respect her so much. — Legolas (talk2me) 15:46, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
True, true. But I appreciate her harder rap style much more. Like "Did It On'em" on the new album is by far one of the best on the album. Love that track! Candyo32 - Happy New Year :) 19:58, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh I love that one too, she's such a darling actually and very true as a rap artist. I think Minaj is here to stay if she plays her cards right. — Legolas (talk2me) 16:17, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
And also so many artists these days are only US-based, and usually don't breakthrough to the US until they have a major hit, and Minaj, being particularly just an urban-based artist, is doing excellent already breaking international markets. Candyo32 - Happy New Year :) 23:33, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) It's remarkable how she came back with "Your Love" after the flop of "Massive Attack." I agree; she's the new Lil' Kim. --ĈÞЯİŒ 1ооо 23:39, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Well even if you don't even think of "Massive Attack" she already had a huge resume with features prior to that. Candyo32 - Happy New Year :) 04:48, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Project

Soooo, im planning on FA-ing We R Who We R but it needs alot of work, mainly a copy and prose edit. Ive contacted a copy editor but i need suggestions for the rest of the article. The Lead and Chart Performance arnt fully complete but other then that i believe its the article is almost done. So, suggestions?. =) - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 05:54, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

The main thing hindering you will be he non-free content questions, and the fact that there is no recording info of the song, hence probably it would be deemed incomplete. — Legolas (talk2me) 10:52, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Non-free_content/Cover_art_RfC <--- Consensus was reached here regarding none free content (mainly infobox covers and stuff), and the community voted and it was deemed allowed, thank god. And there isnt much on the recording, other then the location in the liner notes. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 20:08, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I forgot to check on that. Then its simply great and I would advice you to just wait for sometime to see if technical details for the song pop out somewhere. — Legolas (talk2me) 05:38, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Ranveer

Howdy Legolas. Where's Miranda Kerr and the baby? Mmm given that even Clint Eastwood is struggling to pass GA I wouldn't count on it passing...♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:40, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Ahaha I really love your humour, just like mine.. Yeah you probably could write a good article on Madonna's freakishly vainy manly arms... Well considering Ranveer has been an actor for a month its pretty good! I would be very interested to see if it would pass GA. Go for it!♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:03, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Wow you have quite a lot of good Madonna articles!! Excellent work! Well Madonna does look extremely fit you've got to give her that. But she must work out for hours in the gym every day and barely eat 400 calories..! Madonna is classed as "good" pop music in my view, so much better that most of the rubbish circulating these days. I must admit though I didn't like the song for Die Another Day... ♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:08, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Not particularly. I'm something of an old school music buff. But I'll listen to anything from J. S. Bach to 20s Fats Waller to good ole southern rock Lynard Skynard and country like Emmylou Harris etc. I'm mostly into rock, blue, jazz and classical. But jazz, flamenco and blues are my biggest passion, especially those big ass Louisiana blues type bands. My favourites are musicians like Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert King, Paco de Lucia, Joe Pass etc. this is pretty cool eh?. Have a listen also to Stevie RayDr. Blofeld 13:28, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Looks pretty good to me! I was wondering if you could fully expand Dharmendra. The coverage of his career is exceedingly poor given his status as an actor in India.♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:06, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

I think its absolutely fine. — Legolas (talk2me) 18:12, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Hey I only just noticed this, it musta got lost in the plethora of other requests about commenting on XYZ projects by numerous editors despite me clearly saying I am unable to respond to most discussions. *sigh*. Novice7 found me this source which has some excellent and technical information about the mastering of the song. Unfortunately there's not much I can find on the actual recording. I could do with a second pair of eyes because the source has some really detailed stuff, I've tried to extract some here but I'm not sure what to use/what's relevant. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 03:27, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
No probs. And wow, what are you saying? It has every recording info that you needed. Want to know how you can incorporate such a big article? Check out the recording section of "Like a Virgin". I incorporated it long back from SOS. — Legolas (talk2me) 08:09, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

As a consolation prize for Freakum Dress failing GA i've offered to peer review the rest of the article. *sighs*. In the meantime did you notice any issues/missing info with the recording/production section of WLTO? -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 03:36, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
If you notice my edit summary of copyediting the section you will find I left you a note that some of the instruments and the recording terms need wikilinking in the second and third paras. As for Frakum Dress, I left a note at teh GA page for Jivesh. Just a small reality check. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:49, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Yp I noticed the message you left Jv... I don't think it was unfair personally (the review or any of the follow up comments). Right I've gone and altered some of the wording as well as liked wherever possible. A lot of the software e.g. Nitro and PSP 608 dont have articles... -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:17, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Sorry but may I but in here? Jivesh, put yourself into the shoes of the reader. If you were wanting to find information about Get Me Bodied, do you think that you would care if the song was stated once in a random book that has nothing to do with Beyonce? And I hope I'm not coming across as nosy, I just understand what Legolas is trying to say. You won't always have people to tell you what to put. Make the judgement call for yourself. Realistically, this should be an obvious decision. Again I'm not being rude, just trying to help you understand. =D--Blackjacks101 (talk) 18:01, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Britney new album

OMG!! Did you see the artwork and title? Femme Fatale!! Why hasn't Gaga released an album cover yet?? I hope she releases it soon too. I can't wait to see what she's got up her sleeve :) Novice7 | Talk 17:04, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Love the album title. Not a fan of the cover art though. Gaga, I seriously have no idea. There is backlash against her regarding the lyrics. — Legolas (talk2me) 17:41, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
You'd think we all the money they saved on the album packaging they'd be able to afford a decent weave for Britney. Gosh I've seen barrels of hay with less holes! o_O -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 17:46, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Whattttt?? OMG, ROFLLLLLL, you made me laugh so loud Unique.. — Legolas (talk2me) 17:52, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Seriously its been years since she shaved her head. You'd think by now she's learn to keep a decent weave. Really disappointed that the album cover has no concept. What's funny is she looks the exact opposite of Femme Fatale in the cover... she looks like an angel not a fiery and saucy leading lady. *sighs*. How come the second biggest pop debut of 2011 (first Being Gaga) can't even get the album packaging right... its not a good start for this era tbh. I have a feeling "Hold It Against Me" has already peaked. I ain't convinced that a video will cause a reinvigoration of interest in the project. Though that said some dancey remixes of the song would go well (lose the faux dubstep, and overpowering synths, replace with some electropop and softer sounds). -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 18:03, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
p.s. maybe she should take the Femme Fatale inspiration from Kim Catrall]... a woman probably double her age! -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 18:05, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
You're right Lil. The album art does seem a little too basic. And, I absolutely hate the font. Imo, she's never been able to get back up after her divorce. And, do you guys spot something different about her eyes than before?? I can surely see something different. Novice7 | Talk 03:41, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Kim Catrall??? Mmmmmmmmm. The only reason I ever tolerated Sex and the City was because of her, and well, it was my fiancee's favourite. Her eyes look like drugged, like it was a make-up gone wrong case. And I agree with Unique, this is hardly a cover denoting the concept of Femme Fatale. I want "Slutney" on the cover, not some "Makeupwrongney". — Legolas (talk2me) 03:47, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Oh come on Unique, Femme Fatale has nothing to do with anything Rihanna. I mean that cover you linked and especially her recent stuff has been more Whore Totale lol :). I think its a nice change from Blackout which I though was the ugliest cover I've ever seen. You guys check out "S&M"? It looks like Perez has a new job lol--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 09:50, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
So Rihanna also found out his use, other than Gaga? Good. As for Slutney, Circus cover was the worst, just MO. — Legolas (talk2me) 09:59, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
What about In the Zone? I don't like that at all. Her best were Oops, "Britney." Novice7 | Talk 10:04, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

You're right, Circus cover was horrid. Although the whole In the Zone album was really good. "Toxic" still remains one of her best, if not it. Hahaha, yep Perez milks Gaga more than Jivesh milks Beyonce LOL.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 10:08, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

(edit conflict)At least she looked good, and kinda divine on the ITZ cover. Here its like too loud, too bright... somthing is missing. I agree Oops... I Did it Again has the best cover. Wonder what Gaga's cover for "Born This Way" will look like. And Nathan, LAMOOO at the Gaga and Jivesh comparison. Subtle shade, eh? — Legolas (talk2me) 10:11, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Lol. I knew you'd get a kick outta that one :D. Hmmm, well remember that Gaga is releasing the single 3 full months before the album, wheras Britney did around 6 weeks. If you ask me, I'd say she'll release in mid-March. I'm so excited for those Grammy's, curious to hear that song, all the buzz is killing me. Its a shame Britney won't perform. The Grammys help album and single sales so much, she won't be able to make up for the loss of promo.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 10:15, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Ya even I am waiting for the song, Grammys, album etc. I somehow dont have high hopes for the album. I'm a bad fan. :( — Legolas (talk2me) 10:18, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
I can't wait to see. It's on February 14 in India, right? Wait, there's someone missing. Xtina. I heard that she's gonna release an album soon. Is it a rumor, or is it real?? Novice7 | Talk 10:21, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Lol, don't worry, after reading the lyrics I don't either, so don't feel too bad ;). Although, even if the first single is a bomb, I'm sure she can bounce back with a good second single. Since she's a new act, radios are very open, whereas Carey or Madonna would get 1 successful airplay single in the US, unless the second is really good (IWTKWLI obviously wans't lol). BTW, I head "Isaac" the other day and love it, its such a classic and traditional song!--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 10:22, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
This pathetic ageism in US radio needs to just fuck off. And Novice, ya its 14th in India, but the single is premiering in iTunes in midnight. Gaga's repertoire is in killer beats, hooks and an out of this world chorus ala Bad Romance. Actually to be fair, any lyrics simply read without hte melody will appear so so dull. Hope this is the case with BTW. As for Madonna, ya that was the last ballad kinda song recorded by her. She's hibernating for some reason, that's a good sign that she's cooking something. — Legolas (talk2me) 10:31, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. I gotta check it out too. Yep, Madonna knows when to hit the crowd. I heard that Gaga doesn't like waiting. Anyways, I hope it doesn't become a mess. Novice7 | Talk 10:38, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Speaking of divas, Willow's new single hits airwaves March 1. Wigs will be snatched. Candyo32 - Happy New Year :) 14:58, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Has any snippet been leaked?? — Legolas (talk2me) 15:00, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Yep, she's moving from the urban hip-hop to the eurodance arena [1]. Video looks fierce. Work. [2] Candyo32 - Happy New Year :)
I love Willow's new song, even if I've only heard a snippet. As for Brit, she needs to step her game up. Hold It Against Me is her worst lead single to date. There. I said it. So unoriginal, and besides the chorus and bridge, very average. Dr. Luke + Britney = CRAP! He needs to stick with Ke$ha and keep Britney original. I'm so glad that Danja, Max, and Darkchild are stepping in to keep this from turning ugly. It seems so many of my favorite artists are turning towards beats over lyrics. Femme Fatale, I hope, will include more elements from her third, fourth, and fifth album. --ĈÞЯİŒ 1ооо 21:38, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Sound on Sound

Okay, I searched. Could not find anything :( Novice7 | Talk 15:12, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Problem is today only I came back home to find that the Sound on Sound magazines I had purchased, had arrived. In the March 2010 issue, there is a detailed article dedicated to the recording of BR, but strangely I cannot find that info on their website. This is true for so many songs I checked. — Legolas (talk2me) 15:17, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
:O Maybe it's just like Billboard and Google Books. They don't have the recent issues (like from 2009 middle). You can use it, right? Can I know the other songs do they have information on? Novice7 | Talk 15:21, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
I think you are right, they might not have everything on the site. Oh well, I'm resourceful, can add it as a journal. He he. And I would need some time to check all 12 magazines. They have one for "All the Lovers", though which might interest you. I will be nominating "Bad Romance" soon for FA, and keeping my fingers crossed for its passing. I have a pointer for you. You must be knowing how important and one hell of a song Whitney's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" was, right? So you should have one hell and epic article for it. She deserves it, duh. One example of epic article for your reference is this article that I have been developing. Lol, it will take you there. Don't know if you have heard of the song. :D — Legolas (talk2me) 15:29, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Yes, "All the Lovers" is in need of action, but not now. I'm currently working on Spinning Around, which needs a lot of work. I should buy some Kylie books to edit some of her previous articles. Next, BR will pass FA, that's for sure. We have to look out for IP edits, that's all. And yes, "I Wanna Dance" is really important, and so is "I Will Always Love You." The books that I have don't have enough information on the songs. I'm eying on this book. Do you think it'd be useful? About the song, lol, yes. If you're saying about Like a Prayer, I've heard it. But, to be frank, not a great fan of it though. I really like Madge's debut album full and absolutely love "Vogue." :) Novice7 | Talk 15:53, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
That seems like a better book. Pity that J. Randy Taraborrelli did not write a biography on her. MJ and Madonna were lucky. "Spinning Around" (love it so much) needs a lot of work. I actually didn't wanna intervene since you guys were busy working on it, and I really dont know that person that you are collaborating with on that article. But if I start, I will start on the whole Light Years project. Amazing era. — Legolas (talk2me) 15:57, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
I gotta get it. But, my parents won't allow me to buy any CDs or Books for two months (Twelfth exams, ughh) Yes, Light Years was amazing. Both physically and musically for Kylie. I don't think I'm working with anyone on that. Actually, it's in my sandbox here. You can modify anything you like Legolas. My sandbox information is kinda scattered and outta place, I'll start fixing it up soon. I like her Come into My World too. Both sound similar (though very distinct). Yes, Randy should've written a book on Nippy :( Novice7 | Talk 16:02, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Do you want me to take control over Spinning Around?? I'm a "Rude Boy" ya know. :) :) — Legolas (talk2me) 16:06, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
(edit conflict) It's absolutely okay with me if you start on it. I'm waiting for Frcm1988 to respond, so that I can fill the Background section with references. Lol, I've heard lots saying the "Rude Boy" thing. To be honest, I've never felt that, and I feel you're a great helpful person. Oh, I almost forgot, if you're free the coming days, can you do the PR of Irresistible? Novice7 | Talk 16:11, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
I will tell you how that RB rumor came. Well it seems like my talk page is like the hunting ground and the Wikipedia counterpart of Google. Anybody and everybody have their querries they come to me, which I am really thankful that you guys enjoy my articles and I'm able to help you in any way possible. But I have quite a stern attitude towards personal attacks, vandalism and policy mongerers. I practically make them cry, some one said to me. Sigh, from that the Rude Boy thing came. Well I ahve also heard other rumors about me like "Grouch", "Cribber", "That ugly guy" etc etc.... Lol, quite the creature I am eh? — Legolas (talk2me) 16:16, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

(→) Lol, I've heard a lot of those too. You're really reliable, and that's what draws people to your talk page. Naahh.. I've never felt that you're rude or grouchy :) Novice7 | Talk 16:20, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Goody goody, as for "Irresistible", damn it!! Why the fuck do I forget about her all the time? I know I dont like her, but that shouldnt stop me! I apologize and promise I will start today. — Legolas (talk2me) 16:24, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Hardly anyone likes her anyway, except the one and only "Punkox and his sock army." I like her, but not that much. As for the review, thanks. Novice7 | Talk 16:28, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
I don't suppose there's any Cheryl Cole or Diddy-Dirty Money stuff in the new copies of Sound-on-Sound you have? -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 00:05, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
They have for my favourite from Cole. "3 Words". :) — Legolas (talk2me) 03:25, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Oh really? I searched the website but couldn't find anything. Maybe we could use the source to expand "3 words"? I reckon with quite a bit of work it could also be a future FA? -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 03:29, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
That is also my concern. For BR, I can see an article (interview with RedOne) in the physical magazine, but cant find it online. It must be like Billboard. Not all of their articles are published. Well, we can definitely use the info for "3 Words" FA. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:33, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Coolio, I think I'll focus mainly of WLTO for now... but I will slowly start updating the rest "3 Words" first. There will be work to do in all of the sections I imagine as it was my second GA so it won't be as good as my latest stuff... -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 03:44, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Wait, but the website has information on Justin Bieber's Baby, which is a fairly recent song. Novice7 | Talk 04:10, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Thats what, I have come to the conclusion that they don't have all the articles on their website. I dont know based on what they decide which article to post online, but thats it. Anyways we can easily source the physical magazine. — Legolas (talk2me) 05:28, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
This is just borderline creepy. — Legolas (talk2me) 11:48, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

(→) Lol, I noticed that earlier itself. He knows how to put words and songs together. Novice7 | Talk 14:15, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Good evening Legolas, hope you are fine? Ummm What is the meaning of "borderline creepy"? Jivesh Talk2Me 15:43, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

How hard am I for the track? Well in general songs don't make me hard... ;) -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 16:09, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Well I do love the song. What kinda of help do you need with zee uva languages? -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 17:25, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

RE: Like a Prayer

Well, that happens when you try to improve the article one of the best songs ever created, if I were you I'll try to take it at FAC, obviously after an exhaustive review. Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 05:40, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

You started itbefore your wedding, but you left it, and I always wonder why? I expected to bee too much work, and which IP today I've reverted/warned alot of them? Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 05:50, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Well, consider their critics as a PR, that's why I did with Halo's FAC. Anyway, no one will prevent you from create as many FACs as the article needs for be a FA. For the IP, I think you are refering to the only possible IP that has edited articles you are watching, isn't it?. Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 06:10, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

What do you think about this, is it too much? what do you think I could do, left it as it is, change it?. Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 07:10, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

I don't know whether you are aware of it, but as per a detailed RFC at WT:NFCC, the allowance for NFCC#1 for music related articles has been its cover art. Hence it is perfectly fine to have it in the article. — Legolas (talk2me) 07:14, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Really, if Ii had known that, anyway, one less worry. Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 07:21, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Ha ha. IKR? Such a less headache now. Well this time I'm sure "Halo" will move in a proper direction. — Legolas (talk2me) 07:27, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
I hope it, and I do not want the cousin of disruptive username appears this time. Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 07:38, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
He will, but wont worry, his mal-requests to "withdraw" and calling others "illiterate" will be ignored by the delegates. I had a chat with Andy regarding this. — Legolas (talk2me) 09:30, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Official Youtube channel?

Good afternoon Legolas! Is an artist's official Youtube channel reliable? I'm referring to this. She announced that it'd be her next single, and gave a preview. Can I add that information to her article? Novice7 | Talk 10:02, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Artist's official youtube channels are RS, but kinda taken with a grain of salt. If its her official page on YT, then of course some third party reliable sources will report about it. Why not wait for them? — Legolas (talk2me) 04:35, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. I researched, and MTV has reported on it. You're right, I should wait. The MTV source uses Wikipedia as a reference. Novice7 | Talk 05:19, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Sometimes MTV does the shittiest things. Sighhh. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:14, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Lol, yes. Okay Legolas, so someone else reviewed Irresistible, and wrote that I should try converting the tracklist to a different format using {{tracklist}}. Is it needed? Novice7 | Talk 06:30, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Not needed. The tracklist is fine as it is and is the most common acceptable way of writing them. The {{tracklist}} template is most common for album articles. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:36, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. Do you spot any MoS issues with the article? Novice7 | Talk 06:54, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks again. I removed an image, which I felt doesn't relate to the section. Alt present (thank you for adding them) for images. Novice7 | Talk 07:27, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Single vs promo single

Is there a reason why you haven't commented on the proposal at WP:SONGS? Originally you told me to start a discussion there so as to gain consensus, but no one is commenting but a select few who were already involved in the DITD discussion . The point was to discuss this amongst the community. Grk1011 (talk) 21:37, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Re: Did you see?

Omg really? whereeeeeeeeeeeee? I need my Jloration fix.... there's been no new news in a while although the biggest radio station in the UK premiered the song on Friday night during the "getting ready for the weekend" schedule!!! -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 23:25, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Mediabase, but looks like it took -40 spins and again moved back to 51. That was because of a station being removed from the panel. Well the adds date is happening as we speak I guess. There is definitely too much underground buzz with this single as my Billboard friend reported. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:19, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Really oh goody that's made me well excited. hmm... All Access has reported a February 8 add date... Did I miss something here? Apparently Lopez was on US radio earlier and said that although the clip has been filmed it is undergoing mastering and mixing, while the actual single is not due on iTunes for bout two weeks while they wait for the masters of the remixes :S:S people are just gonna download it illegally at this rate... -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 03:34, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Ah, I share the same concern. My only qualms about the song is that they could have the chorus of "la-la-lalalala" a few times more. The Lambada sample is just so good. — Legolas (talk2me) 05:25, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Since "On the Floor" is looking so good... its enthused me to sort out her album. This is quite a mess but I think its coming along ok now do you not think? Any tips? I've just overhauled the album from this to this. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 01:32, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

No worries mate. I have it watchlisted and watched all the changes. Lol, why you worrying? Its a fantastic job! Now I have to really get digging with Born This Way. What a crap article. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:37, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
OMFG.... On the Floor debuts in Canada at number 86.... (see here) Can you say Airplay hit....? I'm in shock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 02:03, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

considering the add date for radios is tomorrow its heck of a good start!! -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 02:27, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Wow, based on only airplay? Its incredible! Lemme check the status in Mediabase. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:49, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Yeah its not released to iTunes till next weeek!!! -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 14:03, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
It lost major airplay today. :( — Legolas (talk2me) 15:41, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
I've a nasty feeling she's gonna get bulldozed when Gaga's single comes out as that will gobble all the mainstream airplay. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:10, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
I'm sure "OTF" is gonna get Latin, Dance airplay and maybe Digital downloads too. Mainstream, well, I'm not sure :| Novice7 | Talk 04:12, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
I'm sure it will... but everyone knows its difficult to get a Hot 100 hit without Rhythmic and Mainstream support. She's only racked up 37 and 55 stations respectively putting her two from the bottom in terms of spincreases and station adds. At this rate she won't crack the top 40 on either format, which she needs to for OTF to be a hit. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:17, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Btw this morning Lopez confirmed: that "On the floor", "Good hit", "Starting over" and some of the Wynter Gordon tracks will all appear on the album. A second single featuring another artist will be released before Love? sees the light of day. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:19, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Maybe more promotion would increase the airplay of On the Floor? Some singles get more airplay after being released as a download (from what I've seen). About the featured artist thing, she should've released a solo single :( Novice7 | Talk 04:22, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
I've a feeling she'll end up releasing "Good Hit" since her urban audiences have yet to be excited yet and she could do well with album, leading into its release with an urban single. Plus with her Idol and promo schedule, and a video already filmed it seems to make sense... who knows? Can you genuinely see Lopez performing OTF other than on Idol? -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:24, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Well, yes and "Good Hit" could be released :D Novice7 | Talk 04:30, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Sholay GA

I am sorry that you are not happy, and I will certainly try to fix whatever I can. Keep in mind that I could not find a tremendous amount of reliable English sources of info for a 35 year old foreign film, compared to say a 5 year old American film, so I was pretty limited. I tried to take what was there and bring it up to WP standards, and add what I could. Thank you for taking the time to look at this, and I look forward to seeing your comments.
