List of retired Philippine typhoon names
editHi, I am trying to ensure that all of the data on the List of retired Philippine typhoon names is correct and coming from PAGASA/NDRMMC rather than the JTWC, JMA, KMA, CMA etc. As a result, I have had to revert your edit here as you did not specify where you got your data from.Jason Rees (talk) 09:32, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- okay, well I just need to see it and the last few decades the JMA is not the one who is cassifying typhoons it is the US-based weather bureau, nd another thing the 10-min sustained wind speeds were not used until the 1976 season, so can we stick to the one-mmin means for the names retired pre-1976. LeoXIPP (talk) 09:40, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- @LeoXIPP: For the List of retired Philippine typhoon names all of the data needs to come from PAGASA, since they are the official weather bureau for the Phillipines. Any other sources such as the JTWC or the JMA are deemed to be unoffical for the Phillipines its just like for the List of retired Atlantic hurricane names the data needs to come from the National Hurricane Center. Also off hand I know that the JMA has classified TC's since at least 1980 if not earlier.Jason Rees (talk) 10:06, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- well if you Look at the article Tropical cyclone naming the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is an unofficial agency for naming cyclones because they are only local. LeoXIPP (talk) 12:29, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- I dont disagree that PAGASA are an unofficial agency for tropical cyclone naming much like the JTWC were. However, since the list in question deals with names assigned and retired by PAGASA, it makes sense that we use their data for the list and not the JMA or JTWC's.Jason Rees (talk) 20:12, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- Yup, I agree with you, but can we use the old classification for those storms retired pre-2022, because the re classification of the storms basing on their wind speeds was just done before the season has started. LeoXIPP (talk) 12:15, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Lanee Cui-David moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Lanee Cui-David, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Anton Josef Gruscha, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Santa Maria degli Angeli.
