editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Octix has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dpm97YjcDWY. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. The article Octix has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Does not indicate notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ... discospinster talk 00:51, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Articles for deletion nomination of Octix
editI have nominated Octix, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Octix. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ... discospinster talk 01:00, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Hey there, glad to help in the situation like this where an alternative exists, especially for such a new article. One thing I'd like to point you to is WP:AI, the page describing the Article Incubator, if you've not read it already; I've not worked with it myself (more or less, I'm getting back to Wikipedia after an absence, last process I had been familiar with was moving to a Userpage), so I'm not sure how hard and set the restrictions are on how long an article can hang around. After a while, if it's still not suitable for the mainspace (where it is now), it would likely be a candidate again for deletion. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me (I'll watch your talk page here for a bit; alternatively, you can contact me at my talk page); I'll do what I can to help, and if I can't find an answer I'll do what I can to point you in the right direction. MfD nomination of Wikipedia:Article Incubator/Octix
editWikipedia:Article Incubator/Octix, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Article Incubator/Mortal Kombat (2013 Film) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wikipedia:Article Incubator/Octix during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Illia Connell (talk) 20:48, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
