You have uploaded these last 3 images and claimed that they are from Marquette University's archives. First, please provide a web link to the location that hosts these images if applicable so that their license status can be determined. Second, you didn't provide a license, which is why I have nominated these images for deletion. Third, you need to be the photographer of an image before you can assign its license. You need to prove that the photographer allows whatever license is assigned to these images. Did you take these photographs yourself? If no, did photographers sign an agreement allowing the college archive to have license permission on these images? I was hoping that you could help me choose the appropriate copyright. Marquette University does retain the rights to the images, but they are not easily indexed online or accessible. Marquette does require that the photographs are attributed back to the archives, but that is all. I'm looking to contribute a good number of articles to Wikipedia, as I do have access to a vast amount of information in our archives so I was hoping for a few quick pointers, and if you could help me select the right copyrights. Wow, it's very rare for someone to respond to me in a situation like this! You pose some excellent questions. Your questions are beyond my knowledge in images. The Wikipedian that I always work with when it comes to tough imaging situations like this is User:Nv8200p. He usually has an idea for what to do, or at least can point me in the right direction. I left him a message. As for article content, information that was published in books, manuscripts, scholarly papers/journals, etc. is able to be used in articles as long as it is not taken directly from the text (a copyright violation) and it is attributed to the source (not plagiarized). The easiest way to reference the source is through the citation templates (like {{cite}}), which is explained at Wikipedia:Citing sources. Royalbroil 19:28, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

I would recommended releasing the images using the {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} license. Under this license copyright is retained and attribution is required. The less preferred option would be the {{Attribution}} license. The images should go on Wikimedia Commons instead of on Wikipedia and you should submit a letter to the OTRS system to archive that Marquette agrees to license the images under Creative Commons or as CopyrightFreeUse with attribution. Let me know when you are ready to go and I will upload an image on the Commons with the desired licensing and summary and you can use that as a guide to upload any other images you want to (and I can continue to help if necessary). Here is a recent upload of one of my images to show you what the summary and licensing look like - Image:Willacy_courthouse.jpg.
