LIllIi

You just reverted a user page. It is mine (my old one) and I wish to delete it. Thank you LIllIi 00:42, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for the link. Would you have any solution for the following? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Essjay#Name_change

LIllIi 08:33, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

You will have to replace all old signatures by hand. For your old account, it should be completely deleted. I have no idea of what happened. Sorry ! Linnell 18:08, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the edits

Thanks for fixing the typos on Gem Valley. It's my first original article so I welcome any help I can get. --Atomicskier 17:54, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

User reported

I reported the IP that keeps removing comments from Associative Economics. Kat, Queen of Typos 22:54, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

This IP is already reported and banned :-) Linnell 22:56, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
So not 5 minutes after the anonymous user is blocked, the owner of the article logs on. A peek at the edit history will reveal that he, himself, has made the same deletion edit several times. Is there good reason to ask for a checkuser on his account yet? Thanks! Pete K 23:16, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks and a little more

Thanks for the spelling correction in Rotterdam Mall.... second, as you are a geology student, do you feel like taking a look at Geology of Alderley Edge, not sure if my wording is the best, may be a little too much for a non geologist, a second look may improve the article. Regards Phil, Geotek 03:40, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

I will take a look at it. Linnell 22:15, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

User_talk:71.112.7.212

Thanks for the help reverting this troll. --BaseballDetective 03:41, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

could you please speak to baseball detective about these personal attacks calling me troll, OCD, etc and his revert warring? thanks. 71.112.7.212 03:43, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Please look at the evidence and do what you see fit. 71.112.7.212 does not edit in good faith, ignores warnings, claims anyone who disagrees is personally attacking and has no idea that changes that radical and sweeping must be discussed. Especially from an anon IP and a user who barely makes an effort to sign edits. BaseballDetective 03:45, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
this editor is calling me an OCD troll, that's definitely a personal attack. also he's leveling false accusations (page blanking and vandalism). and don't forget to assume good faith, baseball detective. 71.112.7.212 03:52, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
These accusations are based on reality. You are blanking your page. You are making what can be consider trollish edits. And now MULTIPLE editors are watching all of you recent activity. Please be a member of the community and wait for an admin response and do not make this situation worse for you. BaseballDetective 03:53, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
you cannot call other editors OCD trolls, that is a personal attack. and i haven't blanked anything 71.112.7.212 03:58, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
You have blanked all unfavorable warnings from your personal talk page at least 3 times and persist in making edits that are continually reverted. BaseballDetective 03:59, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Librarians

Dear Mr. Moderator,

I think it is unfair that you are taking action against me for editing the librarians page without any warning. I was simply doing the bidding of Stephen Colbert by saying "Librarians are hiding something". Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.49.24.241 (talkcontribs)

These edits are considered vandalism, they are not constructive. And I am not a 'moderator', I am simply an editor of Wikipedia. Linnell 01:40, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Yes, but you should have given me a warning first. It won't happen again. Even though I think there must be some truth in it if Stephen Colbert said it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.49.24.241 (talkcontribs)
I simply reverted your edit and gave you a warning. You are not blocked. The page was protected by an admin because of the amount of vandalism. Linnell 01:52, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Inadvertent revert

Hey, Linnell, in case you are wondering, I just inadvertently reverted your revert to Yankee (no change). I had just installed popups and was testing it, but didn't realize that the revert was automatic. Hope you don't mind my experimentation. Sunray 22:40, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

No problem. The same thing has happened to me before. Linnell 23:07, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for reverting vandalism on my userpage

Randalllin thanks you for one of the below:

  • Signing Randalllin's "Signhere"
  • Posting a picture on my Scrapbook
  • Helping with an article
  • Responding to an important comment
  • Reading Randalllin's first "l"
  • Because Randalllin is bored right now
  • For reverting vandalism on his userpages.
  • For not commenting on his poor color matching skills.
  • P.S. If you can find a better color scheme please show me. I would love a better one.

Thank You

Dear Linnell, Thank you so much for reverting my userpage and warning the vandals. Much appreciated.--Cyril Thomas 19:10, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Capitalisation

Thanks for correcting my correction; I couldn't find the relevant MoS section, and wasn't sure if we used the French convention or not. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 20:50, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome. I don't know which specific article you are talking about since I moved a few articles about french songs. Wikipedia:Naming conventions (capitalization)#Capitalization of expressions borrowed from other languages says that "If the French expression is "untranslated" (not a loan word), follow French capitalization practice". So, I think french capitalization should be used in these cases. Titles like Je N'Ai Que Mon Âme are pretty ugly. Linnell 21:45, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

About my edit.

I actually tried to edit out that bit about the French not being important out of the French presidential election 2007 article, but I guess something went wrong. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.245.193.76 (talk) 01:12, 7 May 2007 (UTC).

If I look at the history of the article, another editor removed the vandalism before you. The wrong version of the page was probably saved when you made your edit or something. It happens sometimes. Linnell 01:42, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for reverting vandalism to my page! Much appreciated :) – Riana 10:05, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Susan Polgar

Could you please be extra observant of WP:BITE when dealing with SusanPolgar (talk · contribs) (see also the article Susan Polgar if you don't know who she is). It looks like she basically came to Wikipedia to deal with a complex BLP dispute that's happening partly off-wiki and that is affecting a hotly contested election in an organization she's involved in. She may have made some newbie errors but leaving her vandalism templates is inappropriate. She has COI related to these articles but her complaints are legitimate, so patience and politeness are called for. If something else comes up regarding her editing, you might refer the matter to administrators User:Sjakkalle and/or User:JzG who have some knowledge of the situation. Best regards, 71.141.91.251 04:36, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

I had no idea who she was, I don't even know how to play chess and so I know nothing of the situation. I only saw that she deleted comments from a talk page and restored the deleted comment. I only leaved a warning on her talk page about this. This is what is normally done when someone does this. I leaved on her talk page a level 2 template because I previously leaved a level 1 template on an ip talk page just before. I have no idea who is in the wrong in this dispute. I see that she leaved a comment where she says "I just got a message in my email.". I did not email her. Someone else did. I don't think I harassed her or was particularly hostile.Linnell 15:41, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
I don't think you acted improperly, I just wanted to let you know that you'd entered a complicated situation without realizing it, and that you're dealing with an upset new user (i.e. Susan Polgar) who is probably not very happy with Wikipedia right now and who probably doesn't really want to be here. Also, Susan's removal of the attack on Paul Truong on that talk page was correct per WP:BLP, although Susan herself is probably not yet familiar with Wikipedia practices at that level of detail. I'll leave a note for User:FloNight who has also dealt with some related articles in the past. Regards, 75.62.6.237 (pardon the new IP address) 03:31, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
I realize that what she removed is NPOV. I did not read all of the talk page and was not aware of how complicated the situation is. I'm sorry if Susan is upset. Linnell 13:17, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Per User_talk:FloNight, it looks like Musical Linguist has sent more info to Flo and I'm hoping they understand what's going on and can handle it. If you want to stay involved, you should probably coordinate with them. My own attitude is I tried to point the right people toward it but am otherwise hoping to stay away. 75.62.6.237 03:25, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

And mine.
If you intend to answer people on this page rather than their own talk page, you should edit the tag on top to say so. Both conventions are acceptable, but answering people on their own pages is more common: for one thing they are more likely to notice your answer. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 02:40, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
