Hey, I think there's a way to save the information for this article. I did some digging, and a term does exist for this: "temporal doppelganger", as listed here. The information could be used to expand that section of the article, which is more of a list than an explanation. In regards to you question on whether or not there is a complete list of Babels available on Wikipedia, currently, I have not yet found one. Re: The Dharma Initiative

Hi. I reverted your edits because, as I left in the edit summary, it contained too much speculation and fancruft. For example, calling the tail section station "The Arrow" is speculation because it was never identified as such by an official source. Additionally, referring to the station featured in Maternity Leave as a medical station is also speculation because we have no way of judging if that was its only purpose, and it was never referred to as a medical station. Information found in vampire fiction (where, for example, Dracula, Buffy and Blade belongs) isn't really that reliable as a source for articles about vampires in folklore.

Lovecraft and 'shew'

He seems to have used 'shew' quite often in both stories and correspondence, but not invariably; this collection of letters uses both spellings. AFAICT, while Re-Animator used 'shew', Pickman's Model and several others used 'show' - I suspect it might've been a conscious stylistic decision that varied from story to story. (Or maybe an editor modernised his spelling here and there, but I haven't seen anything to indicate that.) So I've reworded your addition slightly.

BTW, please don't use the 'minor edit' tag for that sort of thing - as per WP:ME, even if it's only a sentence, anything that adds new information to an article shouldn't be tagged as minor. --Calair 23:15, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Merge Vote on Ultraviolet map

Hi I was thinking about taking this whole merge discussion in an entirely different direction. Instead of merging the info on the poorly named Ultraviolet map into the unfocused The DHARMA Initiative. How about we expand on Silentplanet's idea and create sub sections on known Hatches?

Remember the "The DHARMA Initiative" article is supposed to focus on what it is. Adding more information to "the Swan" only shows that this hatch should be expanded upon in another article. The title of this article after all is not "The DHARMA Hatches." To me it looks like we should put in some information about what exactly the DHARMA Initiative is. We should give some history on it maybe include the information on the film and then some brief information about the hatches and what they are. Hatches that we know more about like "The Swan" should have its own page that would then contain information such as "the Map", "The Timer", etc... I think that this is a more reasonable solution and would also make it a more logical solution as an encyclopedia article. Please let me know what you think (in your talk page)! A response to your FLCL note

No problem. I'm sure that you weren't trying to cause any commotion. It's just that those "ifs" are very hard to gauge, so it's not really Encyclopedic. I think it might be better to find sources where its popularity is mentioned, and cite those. I'm not sure about this "only Top 1000 voters" thing. Bad Songs

I like to keep tabs on certain things and one of them is your "bad songs" talley. I noticed that you didn't really have any other songs except for the ones I submitted. This is just a suggestion, but what I did was I went looking for users that were interested in music. I went to the pages of certain bands, clicked on the what links here link on the left toolbar and then used the yahoo search box to highlight the word user every time it appears. Soho beverages article proposed for deletion

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Soho beverage, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Soho beverage. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.

FLCL concerns

I noticed that you added your FLCL-ep template to both the episodes FireStarter and Brittle Bullet and just want to inform you that this template is completely obsolete. A FLCL Template already exists and is used universally on FLCL pages. It's much cleaner and looks better when it's used. In addition, it's cumbersome to have two nearly identical templates on one page. I'm not out to start an edit war, but I reverted most of your edits since they were either not helpful or made the page look worse. More FLCL

I did like the addition of the FLCL script to both your experimental FLCL-ep template and the current FLCL template. I conveniently have all the episodes on my computer so I can reference them pretty much anytime. If you make the necessary changes to the ep template to include run time, characters introduced, and overall theme (as you previously said), then I can add the details in by looking over the episodes. I assume your database only lists songs. A serious music scholar, however, would not fail to mention that the Hanson members were confused as girls by most people who saw their songs' video clips.

As to the Spice Girls, I nominate "wannabe", their debut single, which announced their infamy. It not only had a disastrous consequence -- it solidified their popularity --, it was their worst song too. At least that is my judgement now, which is already tortured enough by the thought of the group, so I cannot listen to their songs again to make the most judicious (or injudicious) choice. 11:39, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

FLCL failing WP:GA

Hello. I did give the reason why I failed FLCL from WP:GA status on the discussion page immediately after I failed it. You can see the comment by going here: (Talk:FLCL#Good_Article_nomination_is_on_Hold). With the vast number of substantive edits in the past few days, the article clearly fails the Stable criterion. It merely needs to stew for a while in its goodness to be stable enough for re-nomination. I hope that clears things up. By the way, when you leave messages on people's talk pages, it may better serve you in the future if you do so in a polite manner (WP:Etiquette) since not every editor is forgiving of what may be considered a rude or false accusation. This image is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I, Blademaster313, feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

• it is a low-resolution screenshot of a character from FLCL;
• it does not limit the copyright owners' rights to sell the wider copyrighted work in any way;
• it provides an illustration of the character and is to be used solely for exposition and criticism.

Do you think that's good, at least for the characters? I'll continue to work on this, and in the meantime I would value your opinion. Thanks.
