Important Notice

edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

George Soros

edit

Your edit was a violation of our WP:BLP policy. If you have mainstream sources you want to talk about, fine. But that's not what you did. Doug Weller talk 18:00, 2 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I didn't edit it. I pointed out that the article on Soros is hilarious boot licking. You should be ashamed. But its criminal to omit the fact that Soros donates heavily to Wikimedia, and therefore influences Wikipedia. So this article shouldn't be considered unbiased. As a Jewish person, it makes my blood boil to hear that opposing Soros is antisemitic. Soros hates Israel just as much as he hates the west. Lollipop55414 (talk) 05:16, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add defamatory content to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Acroterion (talk) 17:01, 16 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

No, we don't call people "criminals" on the basis of insider trading convictions, absent some aggravating circumstance. There wasn't even jail time. We don't call Martha Stewart a criminal, and she most definitely did jail time. I get the impression that you wish to see Soros denigrated. Acroterion (talk) 17:06, 16 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm JPxG. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen song)—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. jp×g 00:37, 4 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
