question about Image:Philippines wealth chart.png

edit

A very nice map I must say! I will definitely use it on the Dutch Wikipedia when writing the article about the Economy of the Philippines. Can I ask you which figures you used for this map. I assume you used the latest poverty stats available, those published by the NSCB op June 6th 2006 about the year 2003? It might be good to add it to the desciption at the image page. On the Economy of the Philippines article it now says that the figures are relating to 2007, but that can never be the truth, because it takes a long time to process these kind of statistics. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. Megapixie 03:53, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Regarding reversions[1] made on September 9 2007 to Dissenters March

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Please note that removing of relevant referenced information may be considered vandalism. Please also familiarize yourself with the WP:NPOV policy. While people might have different opinions making on what wording is neutral it appears that your edits are not intended to be neutral. If that is true it is a violation of the WP:TROLL policy. Please consider more neutral approach or I would have to block you Alex Bakharev 23:16, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you really want to remove that in the Philippines articles, you must balance out that section. Other wise, it's vandalism. --Howard the Duck 12:00, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Philippines world map 1.PNG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 07:13, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Shanty dwelling.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Shanty dwelling.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page.   Please do not remove information from articles. Wikipedia is not censored, and content is not removed even if some believe it to be contentious. Thank you.

Xdamrtalk 13:15, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you want to add something to counterbalance a sourced point then by all means try and provide one (sourced of course). On the other hand do not remove appropriate content from an article on the strength of your own personal feelings. This page should reflect general academic consensus, nothing more, nothing less. --Xdamrtalk 13:46, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing.
