First things first, I did NOT edit anything! I got to the Lottery_wheeling Wikipedia page from Google. I noticed the link to lotterystatisticanalyser.com in the references section of that page. Since LottoMatic.org has one of the most advanced lottery wheels available out there I thought a link to it would be also useful. I mean... considering the fact that the other link is there. I read the warning before publishing my edit and cancelled, not to do something wrong. How in the world could this result in a block!? I need someone to clearly explain what is that I actually did to be blocked! LottoMatic (talk) 11:21, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

As you think there's nothing you did wrong, even though you violated WP:USERNAME, WP:COI, WP:PAID, WP:PROMO, WP:EL, and WP:SPAM, I cannot lift your block. Yamla (talk) 12:15, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

The fact that I have cancelled the edit means that I realized I WAS ABOUT to do something wrong, doesn't it? Be realistic and stop playing God! LottoMatic (talk) 12:59, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

Please reread the guide to appealing blocks. There you will learn that comments like Be realistic and stop playing God!
are sure to result in a decline of your unblock.
I don't know why Alexf did not include the username problem in his block notice. I remedy that now. The short version is that to be unblocked, 1) you must request a username that represents you as an individual, and 2) you must agree to never again link to or edit about LottoMatic. The tl;dr version can be found at User:Deepfriedokra/decline promo
Now as to the addition of external links, they are usually limited to the subject's user page. Otherwise, they must only be to reliable sources whose content is cited on the page.-- Deepfriedokra 14:21, 16 October 2019 (UTC)- Deepfriedokra 14:12, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

Now that is what I call a real answer. An answer that is meant to actually help the user understand what is going on. Thank you Deepfriedokra! Alexf and Yamla... It IS possible to be polite. And it IS nice too. It doesn't even hurt! Try it sometimes! And if that's another reason... for... whatever so be it. If a little good manner lesson has such effect on you guys, it can only mean you really need more of it.

I don't understand. Someone, please, clearly explain the reason why the unblock request is not being accepted. Or simply say "we won't tell you". I can live with that, no problem. Providing such low level, ridiculous answers is not what anyone would expect from Wikipedia. LottoMatic (talk) 14:18, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

- I have composed and posted my rationale. Perhaps this will help you to understand.-- Deepfriedokra 14:21, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- I have removed the aforementioned spam link that was masquerading as a reliable source.-- Deepfriedokra 14:24, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

I understand the two points and have looked deeper into all this. "1) you must request a username that represents you as an individual" Where would I request that. There is no way to edit my username and I couldn't find anything on the Help:Preferences page. "2) you must agree to never again link to or edit about LottoMatic" Does that mean that, for an innocent mistake, I won't be able to write a Wikipedia article or create a Wikipedia page about the discovery I recently made? I would appreciate a short, objective answer. LottoMatic (talk) 14:57, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

Usernames cannot be edited or changed in your preferences. If you tell the new username you would like to have(you may want to check Special:CentralAuth to see if your choice is available), I or another renamer can carry out the change. 331dot (talk) 20:56, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, it would be best if you did not attempt to directly edit about LottoMatic going forth. Per our conflict of interest policy however, asking other editors to make changes on the talkpage would be acceptable. With this in mind, are you still interested in ediitng? I now understand why I can not write about lottomatic. I will never again link to or edit about LottoMatic. Also, I would like my username changed to XpertGA. According to the Global account information page, that username is available. Thanks again for the clarification. LottoMatic (talk) 09:38, 3 November 2019 (UTC)

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. Yamla (talk) 12:34, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

It's been now four days since my last edit here and I was just wondering if anyone had a chance to take a look at my request. An update would be appreciated. Thank you. LottoMatic (talk) 19:49, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
- Your request will be reviewed in due course, as administrators are volunteers just like you are. Please be patient. I've unformatted your second request, as only one open request is needed at a time. Subsequent comments should be standard, unformatted comments. 331dot (talk) 20:55, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
Thank you 331dot. Learning something each and every time :-)
Well, I understand that the administrators are volunteers. What's hard to understand is this: an admin can jump in minutes after a link has been added to a wikipedia page but it takes weeks to deal with a case like this. Just wondering where were the admins when all those back-links were added to the tons of wikipedia page resources. And if you guys are telling me that you don't see all those links, and you're not aware of the real purpose for which those links are up there... well that's pretty much the same as calling me stupid.
I am also wondering if all this delay has to do with the recent interactions I had with wikimanagers(dot)com
