Women's Engineering Society
editYou ask for improvements to the coverage of the Women's Engineering Society. As far as I can see, there is only one article on the subject but perhaps you are calling for more extensive work on women engineers in general. We are arranging an editathon on women in architecture next month (see invitation below). This might offer an opportunity to add or improve articles and biographies on engineers too. Please let me know how we can assist you.--Ipigott (talk) 10:37, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

21 Revolutions Editathon
editHello again, Lovelacepullinger! Thank you so much for taking part in the 21 Revolutions editathon. We created 3 new articles, and improved 5! I hope that you enjoyed the day, and that we'll see you on Wiki again soon.
Now that you've learned the basics, I hope that you'll stay logged in and edit or create more articles. If you're not feeling bold enough to write an(other) article straight away, why not try a small edit first, or adding a link? Don't worry about being perfect, Wiki is a constantly evolving entity. Fortunately there's a whole team of editors just like you who can help.
You can't break Wikipedia, but in case you're still nervous here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Getting Started guide for Galleries, Libraries, Archives & Museums
- Is your topic notable enough for an article?
- Be Bold!
- Don't let grumpy users scare you off.
- Learn from others
- How to write a great article
- A simplified manual of style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Remember, if you are writing on a talk page, please sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}

Conflict of Interest
editHello, Lovelacepullinger. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
- instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.
- Please make clear your relationship to the article TCW Pullinger, which you are creating. There is no reason why you should not create the article, but the declaration of COI helps other editors participate in the editing. Thank you, LaMona (talk) 20:22, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
Hello, LaMona,
I am unclear as to why this issue has been raised.
I have no family, professional, political, academic, paid or unpaid links with the subject of the article. Having looked a the Conflict of Interest guidance page I cannot understand why CoI has been raised. As a newbie to Wikipedia I would be glad of some guidance as to where I should make this statement. Should I say somewhere on the article that I believe I have no CoI?

editHello, Lovelacepullinger. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Thomas Charles Willis Pullinger".

code.

Speedy deletion nomination of Archibald McLellan
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Archibald McLellan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.glasgownecropolis.org/profiles/archibald-mclellan/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Invitation to participate in study
editHello,
I am E. Whittaker, I am working with Wikimedia’s Scoring Team to create a labeled dataset, and potentially a tool, to help editors deal with incivility when they encounter it on talk pages. A full write-up of the study can be found here: m:Research:Civil_Behavior_Interviews. We are currently recruiting editors to be interviewed about their experiences with incivility on talk pages. Would you be interested in being interviewed? I am contacting you because of your involvement in Wikipedia’s Women in Red project. The interviews should take ~1 hour, and will be conducted over BlueJeans (which does allow interviews to be recorded). If, so, please email me at ewhit@umich.edu in order to schedule an interview.

License tagging for File:Dorothy buchanan.png
editThanks for uploading File:Dorothy buchanan.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:30, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
Minor edits
editHi Lovelacepullinger! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Hi @Lovelacepullinger: I see you added a whole bunch external links into the body of the article on National Filling Factory, Georgetown. Don't use external links in any place apart from the external links. It is abusive and illegal. Wikipedia is not a blog. Don't use them again in this manner, or I will need to involve admin. scope_creepTalk 10:07, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
