Proposed deletion of Loy ehrlich

edit

The article Loy ehrlich has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Speedy deletion nomination of Loy Ehrlich

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Loy Ehrlich requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Ekren (T | C | L) 20:56, 6 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

October 2012

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Notability

edit

You (or he...) may well be notable. But it has to be shown and proved. Your word is not enough. We require independent reliable sources. Would you (or he...) accept the word of someone unknown asking to appear at the Festival that they were a brilliant musician, or would some sort of proof be needed? Please look at WP:BIO and WP:BAND, and most importantly, WP:RS about reliable independent sources. These have to be better than those at the French Wikipedia - we are stricter about referencing than most of the other Wikipedias are. (One is about Alain Peters, and mentions Ehrlich twice that I could see - not real coverage; the other is about a record company.) I've declined to speedy delete the article - but it will be deleted in ten days if no references are provided. (Not those ones from the French article - they may be OK there, but they are not OK here.) I feel that Ehrlich is notable - but it's got to be proved - see WP:V. Good luck.
