Speedy deletion nomination of Thatchers' Fine Timeless Fabric

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Thatchers' Fine Timeless Fabric requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Dori ☾Talk ⁘ Contribs☽ 22:03, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Thatchers' Fine Timeless Fabric, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

Adding reference on wiki articles
editHello Lwilkins93! Please do not forget to add references from reliable sources for the content you add to Wikipedia. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Adding a well formatted references is very easy to do.
- While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
- Then click on "templates",
- Choose the most appropriate template and fill as many details as you can,
This will add a well formatted reference that would be helpful in case the website link (web URL) becomes inactive (dead/link rot) after some time. You can read more about it on Help:Edit toolbar or see this video File:RefTools.ogv. thanks and regards --DBigXray 18:58, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
- to use this message place
{{subst:User:DBigXray/ref}}

Thank you! Are the sources I currently have on the Thatchers' Fine Timeless Fabric page not formatted correctly? My secondary sources are Seasons Magazine, St. Louis Magazine (St. Louis, Missouri), New York Social Diary (online International Reach), and The Studios at Key West (Museum, Key West, Florida). These meet the Wikipedia definition of reliable sources, are these sufficient? LWilkins93
help Requested
editThis help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
I am working on starting the Wikipedia page for Thatchers' Fine Timeless Fabric. There have been several requests for deletion. I am looking for help understanding how to react to these requests. Would you or someone be able to look at the page and help us comply with the rules and guidelines set forth by Wikipedia? What would your advice be on where to go from here? I am interested in starting a conversation about this in order to further understand what is happening. I am trying to understand each comment and have made certain changes accordingly but I am not sure how these have been received or if this is helping the page.
I have copied the page to my sandbox but I am still not sure how the sandbox should be used.
Thatchers' Fine Timeless Fabric is an important business because it represents artists that once created an entire new genre of art in the 21st century. I want to comply with all rules and am looking for advice and guidance. If you are able to answer some of these questions or redirect me that would be much appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lwilkins93 (talk • contribs)
- I can see that the subject is important to you, but I do not see multiple, independent reliable sources that verify any claimed notability for this business, especially the Notability section on no inherent notability. Most of the sources I was able to find seem to be probable repeats of company press releases. Shearonink (talk) 22:40, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your response. This page references industry regional sources in Seasons Magazine and St. Louis at Home Magazine, internationally recognized online sources in The New York Social Diary, and the Museum industry in The Studios of Key West. Wikipedia suggests that secondary sources be listed as "editorial control"-please see the secondary sources I listed above. (Lwilkins93 (talk) 13:20, 15 July 2012 (UTC))

Conflict of interest?
editHello, Lwilkins93. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Thatchers' Fine Timeless Fabric, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:26, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
Re:Adoption
editHi Lwilkins93. I've removed the "request for adoption" from your userpage because you've not edited recently. Given the number of users starting on the encyclopedia each day and the number who look for adoption, there can often be a backlog when just displaying the request. You are much more likely to find an adopter if you are pro-active about it, perhaps asking an editor or two from the list of adopters if they would consider adopting you? Good luck in finding someone to help out. WormTT(talk) 09:52, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
