Woorinen South, Victoria

edit

Congratulations on your new article. Way to go...Leave me a message in my talk page for any questions...Pag ayo2. --Pinay (talkemail) 23:33, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Pinay has asked me to assist with your new article to suggest how it may be expanded. An entire WikiProject exists to standardise articles on Australian places. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian places if you'd like more information on this particular project.
For an article on an Australian place which has reached Featured Status, try Waterfall Gully, South Australia for some ideas. -- Longhair\talk 02:06, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Hi Lyndon. Pinay also asked me to work with you. I've added a to do list to the talk page of the article. Click on the "watch" link on that box to see if anyone adds to it. I also added {{reqphotoin|Victoria}} which added the talk page to a category you might like to look at.
The best advice I can give to a new editor is to read and expand any articles you can - perhaps the other towns in your area, early explorers, expeditions, railways, whatever interests you. Set your preferences to automatically add every article you edit to your watchlist ("Watch this page" on the edit screen), and review the watchlist to see what the next editor did to anything you add. If they ignore it, it means you did well :-) When you see formats or structures in other articles that you like, edit them to see how it's done, and copy it. Good luck, and don't be afraid to ask. --Scott Davis Talk 00:28, 6 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Another thought: If you visit lots of pages with the coordinates in the top right corner, have a look at User:Dschwen/WikiMiniAtlas - it gives a script to add an "atlas" link next to the coordinates that pops up a scalable and zoomable map showing nearby wikipedia articles. --Scott Davis Talk 01:08, 6 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Central Murray Football League

edit

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Central Murray Football League, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but yours may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
