ACC 23598

Could you explain why you reopened this request to send a duplicate email? Prodego talk 23:04, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, accidentally reopened the request. I pressed the wrong button and just meant to check whether or not the creation reason was valid. MathCool10 Sign here! 23:08, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Please be careful, after doing that you should drop it, every time you press a different button an email is sent to the user. There is no reason to reopen a request to view information about it. Please don't do this. Prodego talk 00:30, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
So dropping it doesn't send an email? I should have pressed the "SUL" link instead. MathCool10 Sign here! 01:10, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Dropping is the only way to close a request without sending an email. See the guide and the notice on ACC for more info. Prodego talk 03:57, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Could you describe the manner of the bug so I can fix it? Thanks! MathCool10 Sign here! 05:38, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
When you click on the "hide" link/button it shows the boxes but with "bars" in front of them.Confront (talk) 09:18, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
I think the bars are supposed to appear with my format, if I know what you're talking about. MathCool10 Sign here! 17:58, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi MathCool10, just want to say thanks for fixing the link on my userpage with a plainlink. - Fastily (talk) 06:34, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Wait, I need to add something to it. Keep it open for now. MathCool10 Sign here! 01:54, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Doppelganger accounts

Hi there. Could you please confirm that it was you who wanted several doppelganger accounts? If so, why do you want the username "Mathsmart10"? It does not seem like anyone would confuse that with MathCool10. NuclearWarfare (Talk) 17:33, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Yes, it is me. I want "Mathsmart10" because I have an alternate account, MathSmart10. MathCool10 Sign here! 17:35, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Both created. NuclearWarfare (Talk) 17:41, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Just to warn you that on the 15th of March, I am usurping the name Elemesh. Elemael (talk) 21:26, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

How do you search up specific text from pages (such as Template:Archive)? MathCool10 Sign here! 05:09, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Use Google and include "site:http://en.wikipedia.org" in your search terms. Hersfold (t/a/c) 05:12, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
What about using the built-in Wikipedia search controls? MathCool10 Sign here! 21:59, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Yes, they work too. Special:Search may help. //roux   22:04, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi MathCool10. I already have a couple students, so I'm afraid I don't have time at the moment to coach you. However, I'll be happy to answer any specific questions you have. Best, –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 02:14, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Sorry about your RfA. I would really like to support in the future. Hope there's no hard feelings. If you would like to try again, I'd be glad to nominate or co-nominate you. -download | sign! 05:28, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Ditto. You might like to withdraw your request MathCool. It's not going to succeed and I wouldn't want you to get discouraged by it. Best wishes, — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:50, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/MathCool10

Dear MathCool,

I have closed your recent request for adminship per WP:SNOW and WP:NOTNOW, as it had little chance of passing at this time with a tally of (2/9/1). Please do not be discouraged by this; you've shown evident potential and your work here is appreciated, of course. Please review the concerns of the opposition, maintain your activity here for some months, and consider trying again if you so choose. Best of luck. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 13:36, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Okay, but it was mainly by the (I'm trying to follow WP:AGF here) comments of download. MathCool10 Sign here! 17:52, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
I would hardly say that. You just were not ready for adminship. Your RfA would not have passed even if I had supported and only praised you. For example, Ceranthor's RfA is not going well although he has more than double the experience you have. -download | sign! 21:14, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

User:AntiFetch

I suggest you turn down this user's request, as the user is an indefinitely blocked serial vandal, and this is his 28th sockpuppet account. He is soon going to be blocked.— dαlus Contribs 07:42, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

The user has now been blocked indefinitely for abusing multiple accounts.— dαlus Contribs 07:57, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Shall I MfD his 'class' page?— dαlus Contribs 21:44, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

I think it's pointless to waste time on MFD if you agree with the nomination. Could you just tag it for speedy deletion per your own request so we can get it over with? - Mgm|(talk) 11:06, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

I've added a {{db-user}} to the page. MathCool10 Sign here! 03:43, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Just wondering, but is there a WP:SPI page for this sockpuppet? MathCool10 Sign here! 04:15, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Yes, he has been confirmed in the following SPI case: Seen here.— dαlus Contribs 05:18, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the Heads Up

I don't know what happened, but I just came to check Wikipedia, and there were a lot of angry messages at me. I think that somebody did use my account to post a lot of vandalizing edits, and I'll probably get banned because of them.

Thanks for taking concern though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nelro (talkcontribs) 19:01, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

"House of Braganza-Saxe-Coburg and Gotha"

I tagged for speedy deletion template about WP:CSD#R3. Why unconstructive? --58.87.150.164 (talk) 02:29, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Please answer for my questions. or Revert to your edit? --58.87.150.164 (talk) 02:49, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
If it's a redirect, you shouldn't add a deletion notice, and also, it isn't a typo. MathCool10 Sign here! 02:54, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

edits to User talk: Jimbo Wales

From what I can see, you are an experienced editor. However, you reverted comments from an IP address as spam. I thought the comments were informative (but poorly written). I am a new user (only 2 months), but please explain why you reverted the edit. Thank you. Griffinofwales (talk) 03:31, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Jimmywales.org is just a spam site to the Uncyclopedia article of Jimbo Wales. Therefore, I removed it. MathCool10 Sign here! 03:48, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
But the editor was warning about the site. He wasn't trying to direct people to the site (as far as I could see). Griffinofwales (talk) 04:06, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
I have restored the message - please be a little more careful removing messages in future, messages should not be removed from other users' talk pages without good reason, especially since the IP was warning Jimbo about a squatter, not spamming. — neuro(talk)(review) 12:05, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
OK, but I thought that a previous message of the sort was deleted from his talk page. MathCool10 Sign here! 20:04, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of MHLU

For every category you create, you should specify parent categories to which it belongs. In the case of a category like this one, parent categories are provided automatically when you include a {{Sockpuppet category}} template.

I am a human being, not a bot, so you can contact me if you have questions about this. Best regards, --Stepheng3 (talk) 05:12, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

But isn't there already a parent category from {{sockpuppet category}}? If so, why are other categories needed? MathCool10 Sign here! 19:59, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
No other parent is needed. You created the category without including {{sockpuppet category}}, and I added it for you. In an effort to lighten my workload, I'm reminding you to include the template yourself next time. Cheers, --Stepheng3 (talk) 22:24, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I got it. MathCool10 Sign here! 22:39, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Creating articles with no content

Hi there,

I'm not quite sure what's going on, but you're creating a bunch of articles with nothing but tags and no content. And it looks like you're using AWB to do it. For example: Teen queen uk, Tammy faye sinclair, Center for India Progess, REVOLUTION PRO WRESTLING, and Countries the Simpsons have been to. Can you stop for a minute and see what is going on so you don't continue to create these articles? — LinguistAtLarge • Talk  04:33, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Whoops, something's wrong with this tool. I asked it to check for new pages, so it could be deleted pages... MathCool10 Sign here! 04:34, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
No problem, I'll go ahead and delete these, and try to be careful to make sure AWB is doing what you want it to do. Thanks for the quick response! :) — LinguistAtLarge • Talk  04:36, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
I think I've fixed the problem. Thanks anyways. MathCool10 Sign here! 04:37, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
For what it's worth, it looks like all the articles were from November 28, 2008. Glad you got it fixed. — LinguistAtLarge • Talk  04:41, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
I don't see why they pop up in AWB's "new articles" list. MathCool10 Sign here! 04:47, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm not sure why it's doing that. I don't know much about AWB. You might want to report it as a bug. — LinguistAtLarge • Talk  05:08, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
