Logo
How would you like me to make a logo for you? I can make many designs, so I'll choose the one that fits you the best and upload it. -download | sign! 01:08, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- I don't really care. You can do so if you want to. MathCool10 Sign here! 01:54, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, I have it at File:MathCool10.png. It's transparent so it should work on any background. -download | sign! 02:00, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- No way! No offense, but that looks horrible. MathCool10 Sign here! 02:05, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Ok fine, I'll remake it. Take a look on Facebook to see the logo designs I've uploaded. They are in the album called 'download.' -download | sign! 02:17, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- I like the 7th one (the one used for Science Debate Forum). MathCool10 Sign here! 02:20, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Well that one's background is black. It will not look good in front of a white-gray background... However, I can put a frame around it if you would like. -download | sign! 02:22, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- And also, what would you like the font and the glow color to be? -download | sign! 02:28, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- What do you mean by a frame? Let the font be as it is and blue for the glow color (if I'm understanding glow color right). MathCool10 Sign here! 02:38, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

(reset) So basically you want the default... well I wouldn't recommend that as people might take it is unoriginal. By putting a frame around the logo, I could increase the contrast between the background and logo and not make the border look "thin". -download | sign! 02:45, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Online Status
Hey MathCool10. I see on your user talk page and user page you have something that says if you are online or not. How do you do that? --Marshall T. Williams (talk) 02:33, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
- Create User:Marshall Williams2/Status, putting "online", "offline", "around", or whatever (see Template:Statustop for more info), then add
{{Statustop|link=User:Marshall Williams2/Status|offset=300}}
(the offset is optional) to the pages where you want the code. Hope that helps! Cheers, MathCool10 Sign here! 23:42, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I did it, but now I don't now how to ""Wiki""program" it what to display. I mean, like, yours... I don't know how to set it to like if I'm online or not. --Marshall T. Williams (talk) 02:00, 9 February 2009 (UTC) This should give you more info. On another topic, I don't understand the comment you put on my talk page. It said: Who put {{Tb}} on my user page? I didn't. Explain? --Marshall T. Williams (talk) 02:06, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- First, don't copy the script to User:Marshall Williams2/Status, move it to your monobook.js (using
importScript('FULLPAGENAME');
, replacing FULLPAGENAME with the page you found it at). The script creates some buttons saying online, offline, etc. near where it says your username, my talk, my preferences, etc. If it doesn't, the page. - Then, add "online", "offline", etc. to User:Marshall Williams2/Status (not the script).
- Finally, add the {{Statustop}} line above.
- Just ask if you have any more problems. Cheers! MathCool10 Sign here! 03:41, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- P.S.(1) Somebody put
{{Tb|MathCool10}}
on your talk page, and that's what I was wondering about. If it's you, then I don't really care. - P.S.(2) Add one more : than the previous replier did for each of your lines (so if you were to reply, add :: before each of your lines)
- ==TB, Online Stats== Okay, I've got it working now. But how do I make it automatically display my status? Or do I have to do it manually every time? TB: When you responeded here, that "You have new messages on somebody's user page" didn't show up on my user talk page. --Marshall T. Williams (talk) 01:21, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- The talkback template must be added manually, as I did to your user talk page. -download | sign! 01:35, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- It doesn't automatically display status; you fix the status by clicking on the "online", "offline", etc. buttons near your username, talk, settings, etc. (though it doesn't work for me, although it works on a public computer) MathCool10 Sign here! 01:43, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

How do I create a new heading (== level 2 heading ==) after a (= level 1 heading =) without having to edit the level 1 heading? MathCool10 Sign here! 02:02, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hi there. The only method I am aware of is by doing it manually. There's no automated way directly through the Wikipedia site, although some standalone editors may be able to achieve this. --Chasingsol(talk) 06:10, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
CR national park
You re-did the edits on the CR national park page. I have 2 problems with your edits. First, it's a discussion of a particular park. That does not belong on the overal CR parks page. second, as far as I can tell the text is incorrect -- I am almost certain it is not the last virgin forest in the country - Richwoodward 16:22, 10 February 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by RichWoodward (talk • contribs)

Adoption
I encourage you to join the Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User program. Experienced editors (like me) help you edit through Wikipedia. We teach you the basics of Wikipedia. If you do so, however, I would like to be your adopter. If you are interested, please leave a message on my talk page. Cheers, MathCool10 Sign here! 04:02, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
- Thankyou for you offer of adopting me. However, after some thought, I have decided against it. Although I am not a fully fledged Wikipedian (if such a term exists), and am by no means the editor that I could be, I feel it would not be beneficial to either of us. Examining your current mentee's classroom pages, I already know the Wikipedia policies (maybe not by their abbreviations yet), and how to use tags. It would thus be not a waste of time, but a slight inconvenience for both of us. Of course, I could be wrong, and you may have much more to offer. Please tell me if it is so, but otherwise there will hopefully be no hard feelings. BTW, no matter your opinion on flagged revisions, the little box that follows people up and down the page is more than irritating. If not for common courtesy, I would remove it personally, but it is your choice.
- P.S. This came out harsher than I meant it to, but I am afraid events irl mean I do not have time to rewrite it now. Sorry =(
- Elemael (talk) 20:58, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, OK. I can skip to namespaces, templates, and all that stuff if you want to. I just don't quite know how much my adoptees know, so I decided to start from the beginning. And I'll remove the flagged revisions box if you are annoyed with it. MathCool10 Sign here! 01:25, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry for the earlier abrasive message: I was a little bit stressed last night (something to do with having a presentation on the Third Anglo-Burmese War due in today!) I have nothing to lose by becoming an adoptee, and possibly much to gain. It would be easier to have things set in stone than having to hunt around for them (for instance I currently have a fear of templates, so haven't touched them :P). Redirects
{{helpme}}
Why don't redirects work in a <noinclude>? MathCool10 Sign here! 05:42, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- A redirect basically only works if it's the first thing on a page. The only real reason you'd need noinclude is in using templates to prevent text from displaying in a transcluded template. If you're trying to do something specific with templates or redirects, it might help asking at Village Pump/Technical with what you're trying to do. --slakr\ talk / 08:15, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
Two redirects
{{helpme}}
What happens if two pages redirect to each other? For example, suppose Page1 redirects to Page2, and Page2 redirects to Page1. If I go to Page1, would I crash the server? MathCool10 Sign here! 19:32, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- No! ;) To prevent endless looping, a redirect will not "pass through" more than one entry, so you'd go to page2 and then be presented with a soft redirect. - Jarry1250 (t, c) 19:38, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- It just makes both pages act like double redirects. It can be rather confusing if you don't realize that they redirect to each other, but it certainly wouldn't crash the server or cause any infinite loops. Pyrospirit (talk · contribs) 19:38, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
