If you object to a "PROposed Deletion" (or "PROD"), as you apparently do at Russ george, then the proper step for you to take is simply to delete the deletion proposal tag from the article. That will end that process right there. It doesn't stop the article from being moved on to "Article For Deletion" ("AFD") status, if an editor so chooses (and you cannot end an AFD by simple tag deletion), but it will keep the article from ever being subject to a PROD again! --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:51, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
