Introduction to my talk page

[edit]

Hello, as you read my user page, I want you to know the rules of my talk page:

Firstly, please don’t put comments that are not nice or that can hurt me.

I don’t want to see any: racist comments; sexist comments; homophobic comments; islamophobic comments, or any other type of discrimination. No 6 7’s on my talk page and user page.

Good to know: I am a new Wikipedia editor, so I don’t know much about Wikipedia. I am 21, even if it might seem different from your point of view. I am 50% French 50% Turkish, so my English might feel weird, I hope you can understand what I try to write. I am a big football(soccer) fan so if you are also one, please feel free to discuss about it in my talk page!

In my talk page, I would like you readers to talk about any types of things ( except the rules I put two paragraphs ago of course), not just Wikipedia stuff.

If you see this message, please put a comment in my talk page, It is always good to know there are a few people seeing your post, plus I always like reading new comments directly addressed to me.

Good luck. 👍🤓 Macron le macaron (talk) 10:49, 26 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Talk:Wikipedia are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a search engine, a chatbot, or a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks. GSK (talkedits) 15:12, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

I thought the comments were fine. Bureaucrats, though, do not like to talk much. They do like to throw around policy tags. ProofCreature (talk) 01:15, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a social network. Wikipedia is not a place to socialize or write things that are not directly related to improving the encyclopedia. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. We're sorry if this message has discouraged you from editing here, but the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Thank you. Pyrrhic victor (talk) 16:26, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

I honestly am sorry, if I do violate the rules. Macron le macaron (talk) 18:30, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Adrenalyn XL, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. JeffSpaceman (talk) 22:01, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

But I do the collection, so I know what I am talking about. Macron le macaron (talk) 22:04, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia is based on the content found in reliable, secondary sources, not original research. JeffSpaceman (talk) 22:05, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I don’t understand, what is a reliable secondary source? And what is original research?( my English is not very good, sorry for bothering you) Macron le macaron (talk) 22:07, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
No need to apologize. Reliable sources are outlined at this guideline page, while secondary sources are those removed from the subject that denote the contents of a primary source (see WP:SECONDARY for further information). Original research, as explained at the WP:NOR policy page, is any content for which a reliable, published source (as I have described above) does not exist, and is thus composed of anything not directly supported by sources that meet Wikipedia sourcing standards, including the verifiability policy. JeffSpaceman (talk) 22:10, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
To complex, can you explain to me in an easyer way( I am not trying to bother you, I don’t understand) Macron le macaron (talk) 22:11, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I wish you the best luck in getting a good answer to your question above. I have had similar problems. Many editors will not accept first hand sensory information as true. It's like it does not matter that you saw something happen. You have to have published a report somewhere else and cite that in order to include the fact in wikipedia. In some situations that is valid, but usually its total nonsense. Makes for a good bureaucratic stamp for the no no police. ProofCreature (talk) 00:05, 30 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Please feel free to talk about anything in my talk page.

Question: does Wikipedia count as a social media?

[edit]

I mean, there are a lot of people using Wikipedia ( 52 million I heard ) and Wikipedia is not only editing, there are people who discuss, and just like social media, we learn new things, and just like social media, there are +18 pages! ( like the 69 sex position page, wich I don’t reccomend ). And just like social media, you have acounts! Macron le macaron (talk) 08:51, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Macron le macaron see WP:NOTSOCIAL 🍅 fx (talk) 11:31, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Please refrain from using talk pages such as Talk:Pedro Díaz (footballer, born 1998) for general discussion of this or other topics. They are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways, based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines; they are not for use as a forum or chat room, nor are they a search engine or chatbot. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See the talk page guidelines for more information. Thank you. Cadddr (talk) 09:01, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Old accounts

[edit]

Hi! I noticed your user page says I am not here to add sarcastic comments or try to " vandalize" articles like in my old accounts. I assume that means you had some previous accounts on which you used to vandalize articles. Recognizing your mistakes and creating a new account is allowed and called a clean start, but it's not permitted if your old account is currently banned. If you have any active bans on other accounts, please appeal them and get unbanned before using this one—otherwise you may be blocked again for sockpuppetry, even if you didn't intend to do it. 🍅 fx (talk) 11:36, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

There was a ban, but it was temporary. Macron le macaron (talk) 12:36, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
That is fine then, happy editing! 🍅 fx (talk) 12:39, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

You really need to invest in a tool to save your passwords. Most are free. I recommend Bitwarden. GSK (talkedits) 22:23, 30 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Blocked for sockpuppetry

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Macron le macaron. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} or use the unblock wizard.  CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 03:42, 1 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
