AfD Discussion on Scout/Light Line Distributors,Inc.

edit

I see you have deleted the AfD discussion on Scout/Light Line Distributors,Inc.. Did you mean to close the discussion and delete the article and inadvertently delete the AfD discussion? The article itself is still there (with the AfD template), but the discussion itself is goneAgent 86 22:01, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Being subject to a fair bit of personal attacks from this user, who has also vandelised a number of pages. Not so much offensinve as annoying, gets under your feet y'know? Makes dopey assumptions, pesters a bit, generally keeps me from getting my work done. Strikes me he's only here to stir trouble, make himself feel big, seems to think he's been given free range to take a crack at some sort of hack-music critisim, etc. Textbook sadact vandal. Could you take a look for me? Ta very much.--Crestville 22:36, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

You recently over-rode my edits to the Dusty Baker page. I am confused, as I am trying to insure the integrity of the article; something the original author has not done. The article has a section entitled "Criticisms" that is replete with factual errors, non-citable opinions and outright lies. Why were my counter-points, complete with citable references, edited out as "too opinionated"? My references were drawn from Baseballreference.com, Baseball America, The Ultimate Baseball Strategy Guide, among others. The original authors only citation is "I've seen it with my own eyes."

Again, I request that the original posting be reviewed and my counter-points allowed to stand, or the "Criticisms" section be removed altogether.

The information i put in that article was factual. Go to Wikipedia if you would like, but please do not assume I am making something up without checking my source before-hand. Scarletspeed7 21:42, 21 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

That article (and the one on SuperHeroHype) states that Singer only plans to direct a sequel. Nothing has been greenlit, which is contrary to what you misleadingly stated in your addition. --Madchester 21:46, 21 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

However, you only needed to edit it if I used a slightly misleading word. You did not need to warn me for the use of ONE WORD. It isn't that importnat, friend. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scarletspeed7 (talkcontribs)

Again, you tried to imply that the sequel is in the works (edit), when it is still speculatory at best. Any futher misleading edits of the actual facts may result in a block. Thanks. --Madchester 22:11, 21 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

My closing thoughts about The Apprentice 4

edit

I really hate to talk about a controversy again and again, but after thinking it over and over regarding about the outcome of The Apprentice 4, I have some takes that I have to declare:

  • Being fiercely loyal to someone may be good but sometimes in business that is not always the case. Remember that Rebecca defended Toral since Rebecca believed what Toral did was right? Jennifer W. believed that Toral should've been fired, but Rebecca believed in Toral's abilities. Apparently, I felt that the women didn't get along at all. However, I think that's somewhat a firing flaw, one of the reasons why I believe that "Fired" fitted better on Rebecca's application profile than "Not Hired" (The Apprentice Rules also believes that). Impartiability and not being fiercely loyal to someone is what I think Mr. Trump wants as his Apprentice.
  • Not winning a task even with super hard-to-work-with people is also a problem. Randal can manage and ensure that hard-to-work-with people contribute to the wins, and he even showed that he can also win a task even with hard-to-work-with people like Clay for example. Rebecca, though, I felt that the only way she can win is that she has very easy-to-work-with people, strong contributors (ala Randal), whatever I can think of. While Mr. Trump felt that he wanted to also hire Rebecca, I felt that Mr. Trump nearly made a fatal mistale by doing so, because the key in hiring an apprentice is the ability to lead hard-to-work with people, give lots of directions, and pull the team together. That's another reason why I felt that "Fired" fit better on Rebecca's app status.
  • I think that the Audience doesn't get the real reasons why Randal didn't recommend a double-hiring, and I felt that Mr. Trump shouldn't have proceeded in hiring Rebecca under any circumstances. I don't know why the audience booed at Randal's recommendation for Mr. Trump not to hire Rebecca. After looking at the proven results of Rebecca and Randal, I think that another reason yet Rebecca should've been labeled as "Fired" is because Rebecca, as I really hate to state this after the edit war, lacks substance, and substance is something of a serious matter I take.
    • I also only permitted the South African decision to go on the general Apprentice page a while ago, but I felt that Tokyo Sexwale made a HUGE MISTAKE in hiring two people, as I really have to be harsh on this as a double-hiring would equate to a really bad decision not because of jealousy purposes, but also CEOs have to really set up a budget for its workforce as well, and I felt that Mr. Sexwale didn't consider his company's budget during the hiring of the finale.

Just my 2 cents. No further major edits done as of this time, with the exception of my closing thoughts of The Apprentice 4. — Vesther (U * T/R * CTD) 01:25, 23 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:Sm3 wp2 1280x1024.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Sm3 wp2 1280x1024.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Again, the cropped image is not a screenshot, and the {{film-screenshot}} licensing tag does not apply in this situation. --Madchester 04:52, 24 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Furst off, your claim is debatable as the image has been varifed by comic con viewers to have been clipped from the new trailer, but what would you recommend for this "wallpaper"? Summer

edit

Hi. A few months ago you made this edit to The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian which put a release date for the movie in "Summer". Please read the article Summer and take note of the fact that Summer in the Northern Hemisphere is Winter in the Southern Hemisphere. In future, it would help if you were specific (such as "around the middle of 2008") instead of referring ambiguously to seasons. :) - Mark 14:17, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Actually, since this is a Hollywood film, "Summer" obviously refers to the film being a "summer blockbuster release", hence its premiere in the middle of that year. --Madchester 15:54, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

edit

Hello! Please reconsider the delete on the Export A AfD. That didn't seem to be the consensus of the discussion, which was, upon examination, more strongly weighed toward keeping. There was one post that was unncessarily long, and that seemed to have ticked off another contributor, but the notability of this brand name was well established in the discussion. This was not my article, nor am I a smoker, but I do feel that AfD was far from a clear delete. Respectfully, --Pagana 23:08, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Help please a stupid vandal is harassing my user page!

edit
message posted by BigKahuna and removed by vandal Aknorals Philippe Dousteblasé 17:22, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Madchester, I'm sorry to bother you, but there is a stupid kid (named User:Aknorals) who do personal attacks on my user page, I tried to warned him on my talk page, but he don't care (log) and he continue to vandalize it. He put abusive sockpuppet templates on my user page because he has his own page protected so he think he can do attack on whoever he wants and to act like he was a sysop. Please do something against this stupid vandal. Thanks! :) BigKahuna 16:53, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

FYI, I have blocked BigKahuna for repeated personal attacks, etc. As far as I can tell the sockpuppet notice was a reasonable attempt to establish something which is probable (as the user account starts out with a vendetta against Aknorals). I've advised Aknorals to include more information in the notice when it's reapplied. Demi T/C 17:25, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
The Aknorals vandal strikes again! I noticed now Philippe's user page has been vandalized as this Aknorals has added a sockpuppet template. Is there really nothing that you can do against this vandal who accused Philippe of sockpuppetry with no evidence at all (there is no clue in Philippe's log that he's connected with the sockpuppeteer) and Philippe did nothing wrong on Wikipedia as his log demonstrates it. Maybe someone can take actions against this annoying Aknorals vandal who do personal attacks on user pages, accuses innocent editors of being sockpuppets and removes edits from talk page like he did on this page. Response

edit

I did not "bet" User:Stukov to vandalize to Talk:Jarome Iginla nor did I in anyway bait him to do it. I challenged the racist to use racial slurs to Jarome Iginla's face. He took it as some sort of challenge to put it on Iginla's page and that was his problem. This person was a frequent vandalizer whose racism was the last straw for me. I also very honestly feel that he was a sockpuppet did not use the SSP page to prove a point. I do not feel that I violated any policy but your point is duly noted and I'll try to be...friendlier to racists in the future. MrBlondNYC 04:35, 13 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Again, I dared him to say something to Iginla himself. I did not dare him to vandalize his page. I'm against vandalizing this site in anyway and would not dare anyone to do it. MrBlondNYC

Please do not take it on yourself to delete artciles from Wikipedia. This is clearly vandelism. I explained how to redirect correctly and you keep removing the article on your own. I have explained this clearly on the talk page and in the edits. Vegaswikian 23:26, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

As mentioned on Talk:T-Bones_Chophouse_and_Lounge, the article fails numerous criteria of WP:CORP. The name of the restaurant is mentioned in the main Red Rocks Casino article, which is already sufficient. --Madchester 23:33, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

It can be quite irritating. Not a big deal really, my tendonitis it's my problem, but really I put a lot of my energy here, and it's difficult to be indifferent.

Regards: Painbearer 21:47, 20 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I realise that you are great fan of Coldplay, boy. That's fantastic. I am fan of Radiohead and at first it seemed one hell of a shit to see my photos and contributions thorned out just like that. But, we are here not to make a publicity page of Coldplay with these posters, which you refer about "part of promtotional build-up". We try to make better articles. Just relax a bit and help us, please, but if you don't have stomach - do not hinder our work.

Regards: Painbearer 10:03, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Look at the article now and look at before. I think the "now" is better than "before". Of course you can have different opinion, but I am fighting for a standartisation to these band's articles and I think it's achievable. Some people probably will have to gulp down their egocentrism, but I realised that I just did the same thing on Radiohead page and after I did it, I found that it was remarkably easy to work along with these guys. I mean no disrespect to you. I think it's difficult to see someone's work to be thrown at the trashcan. But that's what life is all about.

Peace and flower power.

Survivor Curse

edit

Let me preface this by saying that I am pretty new here, so I am primarily trying to understand the AFD process better. I saw that you recently closed the discussion on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Survivor car curse as consensus merge. I was surprised that you could act as both nominator and discussion closer. Please understand that I'm certainly not trying to question your good faith - merge is a fair compromise between the competing viewpoints - and this is not an article that I have some particular attachment to. However, I think I would have a harder time dispassionately guaging consensus on a topic when I had staked a position.-Kubigula (ave) 21:58, 21 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
