Stony Brook University. the Marching band
{{User:ClueBot III/ArchiveNow}} I been trying to improve the coverage of Stony Brook University. the Marching band is part of the university and you decide to delete it because you think is not notable enough. the Marching band recently participated in the Columbus day parade of NYC but It seems that for you thats not notable enough. Isn't wikipedia about being informative. I been creating articles about SBU the same way other state universities have article about their marching band. Is very disappointing that wikipedians like you try to put others down who take their time to write and create articles here. I have over four years here, I think I understand the rules. Need me to cite my information. Sure I'll do that right now EdwinCasadoBaez (talk) 03:26, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
- While I applaud your efforts to improve the encyclopedia, you must adhere to the same policies and guidelines as all other articles. To be clear, the article has not been deleted, it's been redirected and the reason was stated in the edit summary. The article on the band does not meet notability guidelines. The existence of other similar articles is not pertinent here. Each article must meet notability guidelines on it's own merits. Without reliable sources demonstrating the notability of this article, it should be redirected to the article on the university. If you feel this might be able to meet notability guidelines, a good place to start would be improving the section on the band in the university article, it has no references either and could be removed as well as a result.--RadioFan (talk) 03:46, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
Merge proposal at Air 1
{{User:ClueBot III/ArchiveNow}} i agree with your proposal to merge the articles. How would you proceed? It seems that Air 1 has hundreds of retransmitters. --True Tech Talk Time (talk) 17:37, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- Any station which is mearly rebroadcasting, has no local programming, and no history to be covered in the article can simply be redirected to the parent Air 1 article. A dedicated article for each simple retransmitter is not necessary.--RadioFan (talk) 23:27, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about WSHR
Hello, RadioFan, and thanks for contributing to Wikipedia!
I wanted to let you know that some editors are discussing at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/WSHR whether the article WSHR should be in Wikipedia. I encourage you to comment there if you think the article should be kept in the encyclopedia.
The deletion discussion doesn't mean you did something wrong. In fact, other editors may have useful suggestions on how you can continue editing and improving WSHR, which I encourage you to do. If you have any questions, feel free to ask at the Help Desk.
Thanks again for your contributions! -mattbuck (Talk) 02:19, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
