Yes, sorry, you can't use Opera's VPN to edit. You can switch browsers or turn off the VPN and clear your browsing data. Either should work to avoid the IP block. asilvering (talk) 04:54, 23 September 2025 (UTC)

Good evening, hope yall are doing well. I just wanted to ask if you could help me as I've gotten blocked for using an ip when this is my ip, maybe because I use opera and opera has it built in? Not sure, if that's the case ill access wiki through google from now on, you can check my contributions and see that I haven't been doing any vandalism, thanks Magapetro (talk) 23:14, 22 September 2025 (UTC)

Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Haki Toska. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:
|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg.
There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! The article Alban Hoti has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Alban Hoti seems to fail [WP:GNG], there is no coverage that I can find.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Dualpendel (talk) 16:49, 10 January 2026 (UTC)

Page moved to draft space
[edit]
This page was previously published in the main encyclopedia but has now been moved to the draft space because it is not yet ready for mainspace.
The article currently does not sufficiently meet Wikipedia’s content standards, particularly regarding:
- Notability
- Reliable and independent sourcing
- Neutral tone and encyclopedic style
Moving the page to draft space allows time to improve sourcing, structure, and compliance with relevant policies before it is reconsidered for publication.
- You may continue improving the article at Draft:Ashkali Social Democratic Party.
- Once the issues are resolved, the draft can be submitted via Articles for Creation or requested for review.
- Drafts that remain inactive for 6 months may be deleted under G13.
Orphaned non-free image File:Ashkali Social Democratic Party logo.jpeg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:Ashkali Social Democratic Party logo.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Johnj1995 (talk) 19:08, 23 January 2026 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 9
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ethnic Greek Minority for the Future, a link pointing to the disambiguation page MEGA was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:54, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
Replaceable non-free use File:Petrit Doda 2023.png
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:Petrit Doda 2023.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This is an automated notification. Please refer to the page's history for further information. DatBot (talk) 00:31, 22 February 2026 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to the Balkans or Eastern Europe, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Logged warning: MEAT/CANVASS and LLM accusations in the Balkans CTOP
[edit]In my capacity as an uninvolved administrator, I am issuing you a logged warning for tendentious behavior in relation to the Balkans/Eastern Europe WP:CTOP. This warning will be logged at WP:AELOG. It does not in any way restrict you from editing at this time, but should serve as a notice that the behavior I have identified here is not acceptable and may result in topic-bans or blocks if continued. Request reason:
I wanna apologize to all especially to Newslinger and Rosguill for my previous actions & not fully disclosing the extent of my tool usage on the noticeboards, English isnt my first language so out of a desperate panic to express my thoughts in a more thorough way and back my argument with extra policies like the intrigue thing during fast moving disputes I used external search/translation assistantce. I take full responsibility for this tool leaving behind non wikitext markdown (placeholder parameter of last = AuthorLast), I used it purely to format my citation, nothing else, the citations were not fake, they're completely real. Im a real guy, who actually really loves building this encyclopedia, as you could see in pages like Sovjan, Sqepur Northern Epirus Liberation Front, as you could see in Talk:Reform UK and in Balli Kombetar, Im fully capable of analyzing sources like Cas Mudde's to constructively build consensus with neutral community editors. My work on Sqepur is from the 1965 Revue Roumaine de Linguistique and it wasnt fabricated at all, it just used a different indefinite spelling of Sqepur, (Shqepur) which I showed that exists in the different names source. If you give me the chance I beg you for to return under a clean slate, I pledge to completely abandon all assistants and properly format. So my contributions are entirely safe, I'll voluntarily request a probation period on all contentious Balkan history topics, I wont edit directly, instead, I'll post my proposed edit and source on the talk pages or WP:AFC before I solidify anything. Thanks for your time and I beg you to allow me to keep contributing.
Decline reason:
I am declining your request as it is not properly addressing the reason of your block. You were blocked for misusing large language models. You were not blocked for using external search/translation assistantce
. Yet, your request does not say anything about the real reason of your block. Vanjagenije (talk) 10:31, 23 August 2026 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Comment - This is already declined, but for the record: (1) I think that unblock request is written with the help of an LLM (for instance, Cas Mudde is lifted from a summary of comments I made, but the way it is summarised there feels like what an LLM would do. There are other tells). (2) The citation that was actually to Betrachtungen über die rumänisch-albanischen Sprachbeziehungen, published in the 1965 Revue Roumaine de Linguistique, does not contain the words Shqepur nor Sqepur nor any similar place, and is definitely not about Sqepur. It's a linguistics article about Romanian-Albanian loanwords. Leaving this observation here in case a new unblock request is made. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 15:19, 23 August 2026 (UTC)

Request reason:
Im submitting this second request to address the reason for my block as Vanjagenije noted. I would like to acknowledge fully that I misused LLMs to generate encyclopedic prose on this project due to English not being my native language I very foolishly used llms to look up guidelines and enhance my speech, which resulted in incorrect shortcuts and corrupted template parameters. I apologize to Newslinger and the community for downplaying this tool usage in my previous request. I completely accept the presumptive removal of my previous article creations under WP:LLMPRV as its fair to assume so, though my sources on my recent articles such as Sovjan were completely verified by sources. While the LLM generated prose was a severe policy violation I never intended to fabricate sources, my research on Sqepur was from real sources in the 1965 Revue Roumaine de Linguistique (Volume 10, published by Editions de l'Académie de la République populaire roumaine). It uses the French phonetic spelling "Shqepur" on pages 231, 232 and 233, talking about the population of 380 Farseroti Aromanians and the dialect pronunciations. In creating the citation parameters there was major errors, which led to the understandable conclusion that the source was a hallucination. I want to demonstrate that I can be a compliant contributor, I pledge to completely abandon all llm and assistants now that I'am a more experienced and educated editor. For total security, I voluntarily request a probabtion period from editing live article spaces or infoboxes for contentious Balkan history topics. If unblocked I will post any proposed edit or source on talk pages or through WP:AFC drafts for others to review it before anything goes live. Thank you for your time.
Decline reason:
Unfortunately, this unblock also reeks of LLM generation (and continues with the bit about Shqepur that was disproved above). We want to hear from you, not a chatbot that hallucinated a bunch of words because you gave it a prompt. Please note that further use of LLMs to generate unblock requests will likely result in your talk page access being revoked. - The Bushranger One ping only 08:26, 25 August 2026 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Please wait, please don't lock my talk page, Im a real guy writing this myself, theres no AI. If I sound like that at all im just attempting to be formal. The source is real, its not a hallucination. Look at Google Books for Revue Roumaine de Linguistique 1965, Volume 10, here is the link
I dont know if it pops up immeidatley or you need to refresh for me it pops up immediately, it has 4 results for "shqepur".
Page 231 says "à l'école (Shqepur – Albanie, Farseroti nomades)". Page 232 says "Les habitants du village de Shqepur, à proximité de la ville de Berat... environ 380 Aromains". Page 233 talks about the dialect, "médă", "péni", "kéni".
Im not a chatbot, Im not a hoaxer, Im normal human editor with a bad language barrier who tried to use a tool to format my citations and texts. I've already vowed to stop using any tools or assistants forever if you give me a chance. Please just check the book pages manually, I am telling the truth, I would send a screenshot through wikimedia but idk if that is permitted.
- That's not what you referenced before. If you used that article, what is the title of the article please? And who wrote it? All three mentions appear to be talking about dialect or language, not just the third. But I can't locate the paper without knowing what paper it is. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 22:11, 25 August 2026 (UTC)
- Author is Eqrem Çabej. Title is "Betrachtungen über die rumänisch-albanischen Sprachbeziehungen" (starts on pg101 of that 1965 Volume 10). It has a study on the historical language contacts between Albanian and Romanian, which is why it covers the Farseroti Aromanian dialect and notes the specific details for Shqepur due to the village's relation to the topic.
- No! It is not Betrachtungen über die rumänisch-albanischen Sprachbeziehungen. I already discussed this above and on the page where you had discussed this. That paper does not mention Shqepur nor Sqepur nor any similar place, and is definitely not about Sqepur. It's a linguistics article about Romanian-Albanian loanwords. It can be found on pages 101-115 of volume 10 (1965) of Revue roumaine de linguistique. It is also here . That you still don't notice that I read that paper and found it did not have anything on the subject is unfortunate. It is abundantly clear that all you know about this source is what is in that preview. Google (or was it Gemini) found you three hits for the word. We don't know what paper that is, who wrote it, or what it says. Might I also suggest that you may have better success editing Wikipedia in your native language? Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 06:53, 26 August 2026 (UTC)
- Its because we're looking at 2 different versions of the metadata, you're reading a standalone copy of Çabej's paper from pages 101–115, the Google Books I sent is the complete annual bound book for Volume 10 (Issues 1–6 combined). The search hits for "Shqepur" are on pages 231, 232 and 233 and because these pages are outside the 101–115 range they belong to a different article printed later in that annual volume, not Çabej's. Google Books indexes the entire bound book under a single search bar, which makes the snippet view to display the main title page info for the whole volume instead of changing the author for every single hidden page. Also stop with the snobby remarks gemini cant go into google books and search up pages/where key words in a specific book are, the quotes on pages 231–233 are entirely real, I sent you the link, they verify the local demographics and dialect features I added. I'm happy to let the source sit there until an admin can access the full volume to verify the specific author of that later section. Magapetro (talk) 13:37, 26 August 2026 (UTC)

Yeah my last request sounded too somewhat robotic because I tried to be as formal as I could too not make any grammatical or wording mistakes, but my sources were never a hoax. I've said previosuly that I abandoned all assistance. I really wanna be a compliant editor, I again will request a probation period on conentious Balkan history topics or even just Balkan history topics broadly, I wont edit anything directly, I will send my sources and edit suggestions on talk pages for others to check it out. Well reading the above that's a straight-up lie. - The Bushranger One ping only 05:01, 29 August 2026 (UTC)
- Perhaps time to withdraw TPA? Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 09:13, 29 August 2026 (UTC)
- please look closely at the page numbers before calling this a lie. Sirfurboy wrote "All three mentions appear to be talking about dialect or language, not just the third", that is literally a direct confirmation that the text physically exists on the pages I provided. The only disagreement is because sirfurboy is looking at pages 101–115 (Çabej's article) while the google books link shows the text is on pages 231, 232 and 233. As I explained already, its an annual bound volume that combines multiple separate issues. All Im doing is accessing a snippet view of a combined book which is why the it lists the front cover author instead of the author for pg231. Sirfurboy confirmed the words are on pages 231–233, self reverted and walked away because its outside Çabej's specific pages. Please check the actual pages 231–233 on the link I provided, what I wrote is 100% accurate. Magapetro (talk) 23:42, 29 August 2026 (UTC)
- Oh for goodness sake! You haven't read the paper. You say you wrote an article from the paper in that publication, but you have no idea what paper it is. Neither do I. All we have is the Google preview that mentions the word 3 times in the context of some kind of linguistic analysis. It should be a principle that when we write a page from a source and cite a source, that we should have read the source. You haven't read the source. I know this, because you do not know the title, nor the author of the paper.I'd suggest that your only hope of editing English Wikipedia again is the WP:STANDARD OFFER. Note that every time you reply to this talk page, you reset the clock for the standard offer. Take some time away and think about things. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 08:40, 30 August 2026 (UTC)
