Tanner Richard

NHL player statistics +/− sorting

Hey Magnus221, I've been updating the player stats for many of the other NHL team pages, and I've noticed that the minus signs (−) are a lot better for sorting the players by their +/− stat, whether it is in an ascending or descending order. For example, say Brayden Point is −15 and Nikita Kucherov is −13. When the +/− is set in ascending order, Point will be ranked higher in the stats table since his +/− is lower than Kucherov's. When the en dashes (–) are used, Kucherov could be ranked above Point even though the +/− is sorted in a ascending order. I noticed that you use the en dashes for the Lightning stats to represent a player with a negative +/−, but the minus signs are better for sorting the players in ascending and descending orders. You can totally disregard this if you feel that it's pointless. It is just something that I think will improve the statistic tables on every team's articles.
