Important Notice

edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Fix infobox image syntax

edit

Please stop changing the image syntax in Parliament of India. The field for |structure1= only accepts a plain filename. Otherwise, the article is placed in Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images to alert editors that it needs to be fixed. I have fixed it twice and you keep re-introducing the error. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of current members of the Rajya Sabha, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Independent (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi. Please stop making edits like this one. Wikipedia has no centralized system of creating maps and figures, and in any case that would not be the way to ask how to find it; edits like that are a nuisance, nothing more. If you would like to make maps yourself, the WP:TEAHOUSE might be the best place to ask for help; Wikipedia talk:Noticeboard for India-related topics might be another place where you may find people willing to help you. This is the fourth or fifth time that I am seeing you delete content and then reinstate it. Can you explain why you do this? -- Kautilya3 (talk) 09:37, 17 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

I did not delete it...I rather posted it above....since it is in difference section the section can be trasfered only by deleting at one place and post at another.

This happened on Bharatiya Janata party page ...State results section. This caused inconvenience but the state results and ruling map and details should be along with loksabha amd rajyasabha results not after idiology section in my opinion. Manish9893 (talk) 09:42, 17 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ok, thanks for explaining. If you edit the whole page, you can move content from one section to another in a single edit. Please make sure to write an edit summary as well stating that you are moving content to a different section. -- Kautilya3 (talk)

For sure i knew that but during the task i went for it as the edit was to be done alongwith transfer....(As you can see below States map, March 2020 was written it changed to Feb-2021 simultaneously. Manish9893 (talk) 15:09, 17 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Regarding next delimitation of constituencies in India

edit

Please see [1]. Relevant quote from there : "... the Constitution of India was specifically amended in 2002 not to have delimitation of constituencies till the first census after 2026. Thus, the present Constituencies carved out on the basis of 2001 census shall continue to be in operation till the first census after 2026." The first census after 2026 is probably going to be the one in 2031. Please review the above and make changes to the article. Also, do you have a good source for the expected number of LS seats to be 888? If so, please add it to the article. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 04:07, 24 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

1st....right 2nd - Since the house is being made if 888 seats and 1 MP 1 Million rule is going to be applied (not statewise), by 2031 We will have almost 900 Million Voters so 888 anouncement meets perfect. Manish9893 (talk) 23:19, 24 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Do you have an official source either for the 888 expected number OR for the "1 MP per million voters" rule that you mentioned? If so, please add it to the article's talk page MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:43, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement sanction

edit

The following sanction now applies to you:

You have been indefinitely topic banned from all pages and discussions concerning India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, broadly construed. Please read WP:TBAN to see what "topic banned" means.

You have been sanctioned for the reasons provided in response to this arbitration enforcement request.

This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/India-Pakistan#Final decision and, if applicable, the procedure described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.

You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. Johnuniq (talk) 09:07, 11 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

On what changes i am being banned...Refer to that page Manish9893 (talk) 09:10, 11 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Manish9893: I know that Wikipedia's procedures are mysterious but the situation is that a topic ban applies to you, as described above. You will be blocked if there is another breach of that ban. While editing topics outside the ban, please bear in mind that all information added to an article must be verifiable. That means your opinion on the area of a parliament is not relevant (what if someone else had a different opinion?). A reliable source must be provided. Johnuniq (talk) 10:30, 15 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

To enforce an arbitration decision and for violation of a topic ban discussed at user talk permalink and in diff, you have been blocked from editing for a period of two weeks. You are welcome to edit once the block expires; however, please note that the repetition of similar behavior may result in a longer block or other sanctions.

If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes" [in the procedure]). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

It waa not a topic of social norms but area which can't be either 13 acre and at the same time 5.7 acre.

Google earth mapping shows it equal to old building which is less than 6 acres.

Measurement apps also shows it less than 6 acres.

And lastly

Bimal patel (Architect) shows it less than 1 acre.

West Bengal defections

edit

Hi Manish, I noticed you recently edited West Bengal Legislative assembly to remove the TMC turncoats from the totals. The BJP MLAs who have joined the TMC in West Bengal should be shown as TMC MLAs unless they are disqualified by the Speaker for switching parties, which is unlikely. YttriumShrew (talk) 20:22, 2 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

You have little knowledge of that

They have unofficially joined tmc and this is the point for holding their seats.

Bkz tmc says they are still in bjp. Manish9893 (talk) 04:44, 3 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Rockcodder (talk) 12:00, 29 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
