Request reason:
Hello, Recently my new Wikipedia account was blocked after attempting to start a draft of the company I work for. The reason given was "Sock Puppet to Alex at FCPEuro". I have a colleague named Alex and after approaching him about the situation, we discovered that his account had been blocked too. We are two different people acting independently, however, it seems both of our computers may share the same IP range. This brings up the question of my conflict of interest and intent. To be clear, I created my account (MasterHachiRoku) to begin contributing to the wikipedia ecosystem including creating a page for the company I work for, which I believe meets the criteria for notability and can be written without conflict of interest (verifiable by outside sources and links to related Wikipedia pages). I understand and appreciate the vigor taken in protecting Wikipedia as a resource and would love any guidance on how I can make a meaningful contribution. -Jacob (MasterHachiRoku)
Decline reason:
"begin contributing to the wikipedia ecosystem including creating a page for the company I work for" Uggh, no. Admitting to violating our policies on WP:COI and WP:PAID and our terms of use means we should leave you blocked. Yamla (talk) 19:47, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

Request reason:
Can you please explain to me how I am violating any policies? As far as I understand, so long as I disclose my relationship to the organization I am not violating any policies. I am not getting paid to write any page. I am simply following what is outlined in the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations page. I have already requested the article in the corresponding category and created a list of independent reliable sources, following all rules of verifiability and neutral point of view. I have not created any page. I do not understand how I have violated any policies or admitted to violating any policies. If I have, I apologize and will continue to do more research and make sure I will not again.
Decline reason:
You created your account, as you say, to create a page about your employer. Disclosure, however, only happened now, after the block. So you have violated not just the policy WP:PAID but also the Terms of Use. You did create a userpage where you say something about yourself and your car enthusiasm but failed to use that opportunity to disclose either your conflict of interest or your connection to your colleague. You say the two of you are different people acting independently, but that's not so. You're clearly here in furtherance of Alex at FCPEuro's agenda. That's sockpuppetry, more specifically, "meatpuppetry" (assuming that you indeed are a different person, for which we of course only have your word). Given that your colleague was well aware of the disclosure requirements and had complied with them, I have to conclude that this was an attempt at deliberate deception. Thus I cannot accept this request. Huon (talk) 23:18, 13 November 2019 (UTC)
