RE: Haiyan
I think Haiyan is too big and important of a storm for you to work on. It's the deadliest Philippine typhoon on record. If you want to work on it, I won't stop you, but it's going to be difficult. I suggest starting out with an easier article. If you don't want to do a list, than there a lot of easier storm articles to work on. But I wouldn't suggest starting with such an important storm. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:29, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

OK, I already gave you tasks for the List of Marianas Islands typhoons. If you're still up for it, let's start with that, unless there's another list you'd rather work on. For example, both Louisiana and Maryland's hurricane lists only go back so far. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 00:58, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

I am done with this game where everyone reverts everything and having Admin Abuses. I was homeschooled since October 15 2025 and that bites!!!, I don't know what is happening to me, if no one wants to help, then fine, they will see how someone who has severe ADHD will suffer and that someone is me. Re: Rai
You need to be mindful when you are working on articles. Edits like this should not have a basic edit summary like "irrelevant", or calling this edit a "fix when you're just moving words around, neither are very helpful. If you'd like to be helpful, then try adding info that's missing in the Rai article. For example, there were typhoon warnings in Palau - were there any effects there too? That would be more useful then working on the lead of the article. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 05:32, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hink, hey, but anyways, why you did not respond to me in the past few weeks, also I understand that I must be mindful, and the Rai article was supposed to be this: Typhoon Rai known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Odette is how Rai should have been written down and was always like that. the Rai article was supposed to be this: Typhoon Rai known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Odette is how Rai should have been written down and was always like that
is faulty reasoning, specifically appeal to tradition, because you're justifying a version of the text because its always been that way. Avoid using logical fallacies in your arguments. FourNoddlers (talk) 02:31, 27 December 2025 (UTC)- Reminding you of this since you've made additional edits to Typhoon Rai. @Mastercane F X, if you cannot explain the problem without using fallacies, do not "fix" it. FourNoddlers (talk) 17:21, 30 December 2025 (UTC)
- @FourNoddlers please stop with that, and maybe an Edit War already started, with people messing up the [[Typhoon Rai|Rai article. Mastercane F X (talk) 18:58, 30 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Mastercane F X:, don't accuse people of "messing up" an article without any basis. That is unproductive to the whole editing community, including some people who are trying to fix longstanding issues. You are a new editor, so you might not be aware of all of Wikipedia's policies. I agree with FourNodlers, if you cannot explain what the problems are, then don't keep adding to the edit war. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 19:00, 30 December 2025 (UTC)
- I am reminding you not to edit based on fallacies, as you've done in Typhoon Rai. Please discuss at Talk:Typhoon Rai#Fully protected before making any changes to the article. FourNoddlers (talk) 19:04, 30 December 2025 (UTC)

As I said, if you're trying to help out with the Rai article, there are a lot of things to do with the article. It's very immature to focus only on the first sentence and not the rest of the article. Your comment - "the Rai article was supposed to be this" - is very immature. We are in the process of trying to figure out what articles should or shouldn't be, but focusing almost exclusively on the first sentence is very short-sighted. If you don't want to get blocked, then don't be immature and don't make dumb edits. I already suggested an article to work on previously, so if you don't want to work on that, and if you don't want to work on the Rai article outside of the lead, then there's not much more to discuss. Also, stop using ChatGPT for writing. If you can't do your own research to find reliable sources, then you shouldn't be editing. And yes I know you changed your user name. Is there anything else you need? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:09, 26 December 2025 (UTC)

Warning/question
Mastercane, your edits have been disruptive lately. You have contributed toward edit wars, you introduced grammar errors while saying "Who did this" in your edit summary, you added information with no citation, saying people are "messing up" articles without contributing to the discussions. It seems like you're only interested in editing the leads of articles. I have to ask, are you here to help write an encyclopedia? If so, how do you plan on contributing? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 19:12, 30 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hink, I know you gave me a warning and I understand, and also I am sorry for that, I thought it would still help, but now, I quit editing this article for now. I am more active on Fandom's Hypothetical Hurricanes Wiki (but I am blocked again) I was blocked 2 times there, 1: for 2 weeks, I was using AI there and became banned there. 2 (current), I was using an AI profile picture there, and I am blocked till the 20th of January 2026, I am leaving the edit war I was doing. I have been struggling toward severe austisim/severe ADHD, and in Mid-October, I was suspended from school for 2 fucking months, and I am also struggling toward how to be in relationships with others, how to be a better editor and I need help.
- - sorry for swearing, I was mad cause of what I did. Mastercane F X (talk) 19:59, 30 December 2025 (UTC)
You need to pick a topic that you want to work on. Don’t just focus on important storms, and the lead of their articles. There are a lot of articles that need work. Hurricanehink mobile (talk) 20:24, 30 December 2025 (UTC)
Final warning
You have been warned multiple times to engage in discussion with Typhoon Rai. This edit was not helpful, where you said "please stop reverting my edits, all this already started an edit war, just leave the lead part of the article alone." As I've said elsewhere, the first sentence should not say "Philippines" twice. Secondly, the note already mentions that Odette was known as a Super Typhoon and when it was reclassified as such. You are not being helpful by saying "just leave the lead part of the article alone". That is not going to happen. The lead is the first thing that readers will see, so it needs to be accurate and correct. If you keep on making changes without discussing first, then you will be blocked for disruptive editing. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:41, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- I am already blocked from a wiki from Fandom for AI, and I don't want to be blocked here, fine then I will stop editing this article for now then. Mastercane F X (talk) 19:09, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- You're allowed to edit the article, and there are even a lot of things that need to be done in the Rai article. For example, impacts in the Federated States of Micronesia, Vietnam aftermath, or adding more info to the impact section. Just please stop changing the lead. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 19:38, 1 January 2026 (UTC)

- I will wait then for 72 hours. Mastercane F X (talk) 22:11, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Typhoon Rai shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing a page's content back to how you believe it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree with your changes. Please stop editing the page and use the talk page to work toward creating a version of the page that represents consensus among the editors involved. Wikipedia provides a page explaining how this is accomplished. If discussions reach an impasse, you can request help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution such as a third opinion. In some cases, you may wish to request page protection while a discussion to resolve the dispute is ongoing.
If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, or whether it involves the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also, please keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule— if things indicate that you intend to continue reverting content on the page. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:11, 4 January 2026 (UTC)

Re: lead
No, not every typhoon article should be formatted the same way. If you assume that every article has to be treated the same way, then you won't be able to have flexibility. Also, for storms that only affect the Philippines, it doesn't have to say "known locally as [NAME] by PAGASA", just "known locally as [NAME]". Also, "known locally as [NAME] by PAGASA" is bad grammar, so no, that should not be the standard. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 20:42, 14 January 2026 (UTC)

Semi-retiring
For now, I am semi-retiring from Wikipedia for a few days, cause, what I have done with @FourNoddlers and @Hurricanehink was unfair, and I asked @Toadspike to give me a 24 hour block previously, what I have done was unfair, so to avoid all this, I am semi-retiring, which means that I will not be very active that much anymore, I am more active on the Hypothetical Hurricanes Wiki, but not here. Block me
Block me no matter what, I feel happier when I am blocked. Mastercane F X (talk) 16:33, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
Disruptive behavior
Your behavior in numerous articles has been unacceptable. In the article Tropical Storm Fung-wong (2014), you engaged in an edit war to remove an adjective from the lead sentence. You did not follow up on the concerns I addressed in Talk:Tropical Storm Fung-wong (2014), and your recent revert did not acknowledge the concerns I raised.
In the article Hurricane Andrew, you engaged in another edit war, this time restoring content that does not conform to MOS:INTRO and WP:V. In your edit summary, you invited another editor to challenge my edits and implied that you and the editor would confront my edits to the lead sections of other articles. That is more evident when you reverted my copyediting of Typhoon Saola (2023)'s lead section with a generic edit summary three minutes later.
I know you've made numerous requests to be blocked from this site, but if you want to continue editing in this topic, stop edit-warring. If someone reverts your edit, do not revert it. Instead, discuss the issue at an appropriate venue (usually the involved article's talk page) and work on a resolution. FourNoddlers (talk) 01:13, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
- MOS:INTRO is irrlevent, leads are not to be what u want. Mastercane F X (talk) 14:01, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- I'm unsure about the intentions of your comment. Are you justifying your actions in Hurricane Andrew, or are you discrediting my explanation for removing unverified content in the lead section of said article? FourNoddlers (talk) 15:19, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Yes I am justifying, Hink says leads are not supposed be written like this. Mastercane F X (talk) 15:30, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- What Hurricanehink said wasn't a practice approved by the Wikipedia community, unlike the content in MOS:INTRO and WP:V, so no one is required to follow or enforce his preferred practices if they are discouraged by a Wikipedia policy or guideline. Even if MOS:INTRO does not apply, the removed content was unverified, and reinstatement must include a citation from a reliable source that directly supports the affected content, which neither you nor MarioProtIV did. Also, the way you're approaching these disputes is disruptive. You were reminded to resolve disputes and not engage in edit wars. If you're not willing to abide by Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, or deviate from them without satisfactory reasoning, then you should not edit Wikipedia at all. FourNoddlers (talk) 15:50, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Leads?! okay, 1st from September to November of 2025, people were talking about the see also sections, and now they are messing up the Lead part of all those articles such as Typhoon Haiyan and Typhoon Rai, leads should be written down like this like Haiyan:
- Typhoon Haiyan known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Yolanda as an example, leads should be written like this, not like this:
- Typhoon Haiyan, locally named Yolanda by PAGASA.
- So if you really think writing stuff like this down helps? this is why I always revert your "lead copyedits". Mastercane F X (talk) 16:01, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- This problem arose from numerous disputes involving Mickomicks about how the lead sentence should be written for tropical cyclones named by PAGASA. You were invited to the discussion because of your involvement, but your explanation consisted of only appeal to tradition. You did not base your argument on Wikipedia policies or guidelines, nor did you use logic to explain the flaws of other participants' proposals and justify your preferred option. FourNoddlers (talk) 16:12, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

Nida article
Hi, I blanked and redirected the Typhoon Nida (2009) article to its section in 2009 Pacific typhoon season. This was because it had the same information that was in the season article and had minimal land impacts. However, don't be sad about this, as this is common for articles (and has happened to featured articles that have been up for over 20 years). You can actually go to that season article and expand on the meteorological history/preparations/impacts of storms in each section. If you find a storm has a lot of impacts, you can even start an article on it. And I hope you're feeling better mental health-wise. HurricaneZetaC 22:18, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit that you made has been reverted or removed because it was a misuse of a warning or blocking template. Please use the user warnings sandbox for any tests you may want to do, or take a look at our introduction page to learn more about contributing to the encyclopedia. If an edit seems like vandalism but you cannot confirm that it likely is, don't warn the user. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Warning about merging article
Hey there, a few notes about merging articles. First off, discussions should be open for two weeks to determine if there is a consensus. Second off, if you do merge an article, you need to actually incorporate the content. Not just remove the article link and claim that the article is merged. Third, in the future, if you do merge a good article, you also need to remove it from the good article list, and update the talk page. So unless you are familiar with all of this, I suggest you do not merge article articles in the future. Hurricanehink mobile (talk) 18:04, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of User:Mastercane F X/sandbox

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as User:Mastercane F X/sandbox, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I'm going to be honest this sounds a lot like "this is what I need to say to get unblocked" instead of a genuine understanding of the issues that led to the block and an actual plege to avoide them in the future. - The Bushranger One ping only 22:08, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

- You seem more sorry because you are blocked, and less sorry for your actions. If you were truly sorry, you would take a step back from Wikipedia for a bit and reflect on what you need to do differently, instead of immediately requesting an unblock. Indefinite blocks don't just happen randomly, they happen after warnings were ignored. I would suggest contributing to other wiki's such as Wikipedia:Simple English Wikipedia instead. An indefinite block is not infinite, so "exchanging" your block for a shorter one does not work.I would recommend not making multiple unblock requests so quickly, you are just going to get the same answer and people are going to be less likely to want to actually help in future appeals. While I've only been on Wikipedia for a short time, I have not yet seen a user get unblocked by requesting two unblocks within two hours of their block. – LuniZunie(talk) 22:22, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

in case my other request in denied
. Again, this suggests you do not actually acknowledge the issues with your actions. There should never be a case where you immediately request an unblock after your unblock is denied. – LuniZunie(talk) 22:27, 6 April 2026 (UTC)- So, how I can fix this, have any ideas for me at least? 🌀 Mastercane FRX9500S 🌀 🌀 Talk Page! 🌀 22:28, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

- I should also add, a block is preventative, not punishment. Reducing it to a two week block reads as a plea bargain, which would suggest it is punishment; it's not, the block is in place to prevent disruption, you need to be able to show you are beyond that. – LuniZunie(talk) 22:24, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
- How? like, how long I have to wait until I can make another unblock request or how long will be my block, I am not mad or anything, it is just that I don't like an indef block on me. 🌀 Mastercane FRX9500S 🌀 🌀 Talk Page! 🌀 22:26, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

- @HurricaneZeta I don't think I can 6 months, anything shorter than that? 🌀 Mastercane FRX9500S 🌀 🌀 Talk Page! 🌀 22:32, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
- If you keep asking for shorter, I suspect the admins viewing your unblock requests will be more and more likely to want you to wait longer. – LuniZunie(talk) 22:34, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
- The page I linked says
The six-month threshold can be adjustable under special circumstances. If an editor shows unusually good insight into the circumstances that led to the block and sets out a credible proposal for how they will deal with those issues in future, then a return might be considered sooner.
- But still, you will have to wait some time, and if you do want to be unblocked, why not start now? The six months will pass anyway, regardless of if you work towards an unblock or not, and your best bet is to put them to use and constructively contributing and showing that you've moved past what led to this block. - @EvergreenFir Of course, as usual with messy things, it's gotten messier. The user who initially started the ANI case that "led" to this block, Sidiefi, has been blocked (and glocked) as a sockpuppet of WMF-banned user Andrew5. Do I think the block should be overturned because of that? Absolutely not. But it is likely worth noting as I have suspicion that the ANI report was made with a specific goal in mind (which I further suspect was to actually get @Hurricanehink: in trouble, and less so Mastercane). – LuniZunie(talk) 23:27, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
- As everyone is saying: you are not, remotely, giving the slightest clue that you understand how your behaviors led to your block. You're (speaking frankly) frantically begging for your block to be reduced or lifted, which shows that you're more concerned about being blocked than the actual cause of your having been blocked. Take the standard offer. Edit on other projects to demonstrate that you can edit productively and without issue, and in six months your block can be appealed. - The Bushranger One ping only 04:16, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) @Mastercane FRX9500S I also have ADHD (so do a lot of other editors), but perhaps it might help to have someone explain things in a different way.
- Blocks are only to prevent problems, they don't punish editors. Here's the difference:
- Punishment
- You say sorry after you've been punished. Sorry is a way to show regret, but that word can't stop things on it's own. It can't prevent anything from happening. Saying sorry isn't enough to remove a block.
- Prevention
- Blocks are preventative, to stop things from happening. This means that blocks can only be removed when the thing you're trying to prevent is gone.
- Why you were blocked
- In this case, the block was made to prevent you from disrupting the Wikipedia website. Admins need to know that you won't continue to disrupt Wikipedia if they remove the block.
- They don't have that right now - the evidence is that you're currently having problems with controlling your behaviour, this has been going on for a few months by your own admission - see these posts of yours from November onwards:
- You know that editing Wikipedia isn't good for you right now, you should learn to listen to your own instincts.
- It takes hard work and treatment to learn how to deal with ADHD symptoms, especially when you're young and your brain is still developing. It's not physically possible for you to have overcome the problems you've been having for months in only two hours, and no-one expects you to. That's why everyone is encouraging you to either try an easier project for a few months, or just focus on yourself and your education, then come back here then you're a little older.
- It seems like it's a long time to wait, but it really isn't.
- This is honestly for your own good, we don't want you to be unblocked then blocked again, especially since you've said how much Wikipedia disputes stress you out. You can look at coming back to Wikipedia in the future, but this isn't the time for that - you have other things you need to do first. Blue Sonnet (talk) 04:56, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

- I don't see you getting unblocked. If you do, it will almost certainly be under a supervisory WP:Mentorship which is usually discouraged. You have also not addressed the attitude that you seemed to have expressed with your "I don't care if I get blocked, wanna block me?! go ahead then." comment, which is the other proximate reason for your block.
- I'm not an admin. All I can do is suggest to @Hurricanehink, The Bushranger, and EvergreenFir: unblock conditions, which they need not adopt:
- Mastercane operates under a strict 0RR in tropical cyclone articles and 1RR elsewhere, with an indefinite block for any violations thereof unless immediately self-reverted.
- Mastercane is placed under a supervisory mentorship, ideally by an admin, and is required to obey that mentor until further notice, with blocks for any violations thereof. This explicitly includes any comment like "I don't care if I get blocked, wanna block me?! go ahead then." Said supervisory mentor must agree to the supervisory nature of the mentorship and the nature of this situation before the unblock and the block will be reinstated if said supervisory mentor resigns as such and a new one is not promptly in place.
- Mastercane agrees that any form of WP:IDHT towards community feedback is unacceptable, and that any disagreements with said feedback must be brought to their mentor.
- Mastercane agrees that we are WP:NOTTHERAPY, and that they need to seek their own professional care for their neurotype, with Wikipedia editors not responsible for any disruption resulting from it.
- No social networking like in #Private topic between me and MFX is allowed, to include any and all exchanging of outside-Wikipedia contact information or personal information.
- Personally, I'm willing to think these are reasonable conditions, and the only ones I would accept in lieu of following the standard offer. Even then, I do not view these as much better than the standard offer and still think that's the simplest way forward.
- Unless an admin adopts these conditions or other conditions that would allow you to be unblocked earlier, please do not reply further. You're only resetting the 6-month timer each time and furthermore, your ability to edit this page will likely be revoked if you continue much further. In the unlikely event that an admin does make such an offer, the only thing you should be commenting is accepting said offer. Jasper Deng (talk) 19:55, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

- Wikipedia administrators have usually been editing for at least a couple of years and have tens of thousands of edits. It's a very complicated, difficult role with lots of different responsibilities.
- You could possibly become an administrator at some point in the future, but it'll take a lot of time and effort to get there. Blue Sonnet (talk) 13:05, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
- Instead of viewing "being an administrator" as the goal(which is just a set of tools) have your goal as "be a good contributor". - Mastercane, in no uncertain terms, you definitely need significant time off Wikipedia.
- You basically blew it completely when you said things like "I don't care if I get blocked, wanna block me?! go ahead then." That shows a clear and willful disregard for Wikipedia policies and guidelines as well as, crucially, community feedback. Those are why you are blocked indefinitely–because a finite block would have sent the wrong message. The one block I have ever received, 15 years ago, was indefinite, and it forced me to learn about WP:BLP; at the time, I was less mature and might've ignored a finite block. You are likely blocked indefinitely for the same reason.
- The difference between how I approached my block and yours is that I showed a willingness to heed that policy going forward in more than a superficial way, and I fully acknowledged why the policy existed. If you want any chance of becoming an admin, this is fundamental.
- Basically, you making those comments in response to Hink's warning and then repeatedly filing unblock requests was seen as WP:IDHT. The standard offer will be your way of showing that you have changed that. Jasper Deng (talk) 17:12, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
- Mastercane FRX9500S, note that the standard offer applies for 6 months after your last edit on this project (which would currently be October 7th PT). Every edit you make resets this timer. I would urge you to constructively edit either on a separate WMF wiki, or on another wiki. Please don't respond, just go ahead and edit on those other projects. 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 19:00, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

- @Mastercane FRX9500S If lots of people are telling you the same thing, it's probably the truth. I don't know if you've read my post above where I've tried to explain things to you as clearly as I can, but I don't think your appeal is going to be accepted.
- If/when it's declined, the best thing you can do is turn off notifications & do something else for at least six months. Make sure you've got an email address linked in case you forget your password, but turn off all notifications from English Wikipedia so you're not tempted to come back before it's time to return.
- I've not seen anyone be unblocked through the Standard offer in less time than that, so it's important that you accept this time limit. Wikipedia isn't going anywhere in the meantime. Blue Sonnet (talk) 20:01, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

Please Take the WP:OFFER
Mastercane, my advice to you, which I hope you heed, is to log out of English Wikipedia and not even visit this page for six months. There are many reasons WP:OFFER exists and why it specifies at least six months; one reason is that it's considered a good display for a blocked editor that they have self control to stay away from Wikipedia.
This is not an emergency, yet you're repeatedly talking about wanting to be unblocked quickly as if it is, and talking about things like administration, which would be years away. Each additional unblock request or attempt to negotiate timed block make it appear that you haven't really reckoned with the behavior that led to the block in the first place. You seem far more focused on getting the unblock, than what will actually lead to an unblock: addressing the conduct issues that caused it in the first place.
We have a nearly limitless world with nearly infinite possibilities for other worthy activities that you can do in the meantime. You're young; go explore some of those, and come back here in six months or a year or five years or 10 years or whenever you're ready so that this will be a more positive experience for both you and this project. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 20:06, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
- How I can survive 6 months being blocked? 🌀 Mastercane FRX9500S 🌀 🌀 Talk Page! 🌀 14:59, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
- The standard offer is usually pretty consistent, and the exception is most likely to be when the person shows unusually good insight into their conduct and offers a coherent program for improvement. That is not the case, so far; if anything, you've made your case for a short-term unblock weaker not stronger.
- That you talk about Wikipedia editing in terms of survival is a really concerning thing to say. It's certainly a sign that time away from Wikipedia may very well be beneficial to you. This is a collaborative project to build a large encyclopedia; that's all it is. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 18:21, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
- Also, can the standard offer be ajustable? 🌀 Mastercane FRX9500S 🌀 🌀 Talk Page! 🌀 15:04, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
- It is adjustable in the sense that the 6 month period will reset if you violate conditions (attempted sockpuppettry, etc). It will not be shorter than 6 months. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:11, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
- A few people have suggested that you try editing Simple English Wikipedia for six months, it uses less complex language than English Wikipedia and is often used by blocked editors as a sort of "parole" - a place to learn how to edit properly and get lots of evidence to support a future appeal here.
- If you work hard at Simple Wikipedia, you can say: "Look at my history, it's safe to unblock me because I'm a great editor now - just see all the good work I've done on Simple!" when you appeal in six months or so.
- Having that sort of proof can completely change the outcome of an appeal, so it's very highly recommended to do this if at all possible.
- It also means that you don't have to stop editing completely - you're just working on a "sister" project for a little while, a slightly different website to this one. The Standard offer is set at six months because you need that time to build up enough history for admins to get a proper understanding of how you've developed and grown since you were blocked. Any less, and they won't be able to make a fair decision on your case.
- I personally know of around a dozen currently-blocked editors who are doing exactly that as we speak; I also know of the same amount of editors who had their appeal accepted as a result of their hard work at Simple Wikipedia. Some even became admins or checkusers with they returned - editors with very important and complex roles, who need to be trustworthy and good at their work.
- They were in exactly the same place you are now - blocked and needing proof that they can be trusted to edit Wikipedia productively and responsibly.
- You don't even need to wait to see the outcome of your appeal, you can use this same account & start working at Simple Wikipedia right now if you like.
- At least take a look around and see how things work over there, it's very similar & uses almost identical formatting, wikitext, mark-ups etc. You'll be doing exactly the same thing you do over here, so it's a great place to spend your time.
- Just go to simple.wikipedia.org & start editing! Make sure to read their instructions and help pages first, as well as this very important page. Blue Sonnet (talk) 20:28, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
- Alright, I guess Simple Wikipedia is my only option, I will wait 6 months if I don't get unblocked within the end of the month, or until an admin wants to give me 1 last chance. 🌀 Mastercane FRX9500S 🌀 🌀 Talk Page! 🌀 20:47, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

Request reason:
As I know understand everything that has led to my indefinite block and actually, I ment that I will take the stand offer and wait until October 4, 2026 now if I don't get unblocked within the end of the month, the reasons were, which I heard were these: * I was edit warring continuously on tropical cyclone articles even after I was warned multiple times, along with @Mickomicks, but whenever I get unblocked I will no longer engage in edit warring on articles and not change anything major unless using the article talk page, and I failed to do that before (and on January 4 or 3, I had to get partially blocked for 72 hours from the Typhoon Rai article) * I went up making edit summaries that were against the rules, such as "I don't care, I can do edit warring if I have to", I will promise now to make better edit summaries * And there was something called "Private topic between me and MFX" (made by Mickomicks), I have not used talk pages to discuss other topics since then, as I promise not to. * And I went up saying complete disregard of @Hurricanehink's final warning of edit warring This is all that led to my indefinite block, I already read the second chance, and I want to earn trust back by the Wikipedia communmity and so I can participate in WikiProject:Tropical cyclones, I really thought the leads were important, but, I guess I was wrong, I understand the concerns of @EvergreenFir @Jasper Deng @GiftedIceCream and @The Bushranger as well as @Blue Sonnet as well as @HurricaneZeta, but, I really want to return to Wikipedia, I have not done sockpuppetry/block evasion, this will be my last appeal for me, I want to exchange my indefinite block into (if possible): * An indefinite partial block (article mainspace only) * A temporaily block (1 month, but with my talk page revoked) * An editing restriction or sanction or topic ban on certain articles * When I can be fully unblocked but with 1 last chance, but if I waste it, then, I will prefer an indefinite block again and I will wait 6 months for another appeal. I really now (and for real) know what cause my indefinite block, I never knew that I could risk an indefinite block, I thought going to be temporarily, but I did not expect an indefinite block, which I don't want nor I wanted, I am really wanting trust back by Wikipedia, as I promise not to do problems which were mentioned by you admins, I am really wanting 1 last chance, if it gets rejected, then I will wait until October 4, 2026, but I want 1 last chance, this will be my last unblock request for now, I now understand everything I want to earn back trust. 🌀 Mastercane FRX9500S 🌀 🌀 Talk Page! 🌀 13:12, 9 April 2026 (UTC)

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- (Non-administrator comment) I don't think this will be accepted, if you look at the bottom of the declined appeals you'll see that access to your Talk page may be removed if too many unsuccessful appeals are made.
- I strongly recommend that you delete this new section (including this post of mine) & wait out the Standard offer at Simple like we discussed - if you were going to be unblocked then it would have happened already. Blue Sonnet (talk) 13:17, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- Just to confirm, you can remove open (blue) appeals, but not declined (orange) appeals. Blue Sonnet (talk) 13:20, 9 April 2026 (UTC)

. You really shouldn't, since the earliest you can take the standard offer now is October 9th, 2026. The standard offer counts any editing as resetting the timer. You have still been editing your talk page, asking for an unblock. 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 13:24, 9 April 2026 (UTC)- My blocked started on April 4, 2026, and I am waiting for an unblock or partial unblock, also, a question, are you an admin? 🌀 Mastercane FRX9500S 🌀 🌀 Talk Page! 🌀 13:27, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- No, I am not. The standard offer says explicitly
having made no edits using a named or temporary account on the English Wikipedia.
Talk page edits count as edits. 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 13:37, 9 April 2026 (UTC)- Then, fine, I will then, just wait until something happens or just use simple Wikipedia. 🌀 Mastercane FRX9500S 🌀 🌀 Talk Page! 🌀 13:38, 9 April 2026 (UTC)

Request reason:
Based on what I read from Wikipedia's read, I now know the reason why for my indefinite block, again, I am wanting a new unblock request and this will be, and for real the last one, I just already read Wikipedia's strict polices and that the goal of Wikipedia is about building an encyclopedia, not to engage in edit wars, I will not engage in edit warring anymore, instead of taking the standard offer and waiting WP:Rules, and polices, I have not done sockpuppetry/block evasion cause I don't want my block to be extended, as a member of WikiProject:Tropical cyclones, I will not engage in further edit warring, I have been a editor for, at least a few months, here are what I know: Five pillars: The foundation of everything. It explains that Wikipedia mus tbe neutral, verifiable, and freely editable, because it is a Free Encyclopedia
Neutral point of view: Editors have to write balances facts, no opinions, no bias.
Verifiability: Anything added must be from reliable sources.
No original research: Editors should added only what is published, not their own ideas nor conclusions.
As what I already read, I wanted to know if I can be unblocked already without taking the standard offer, but I heard that it can adjustable under special circumstances, I will not do further edit wars, I will want a second chance for Wikipedia so I can resume on editing this encyclopedia, I am wanting to know if I can be unblocked, I already read the 5 pillars of Wikipedia, so, I will not break these rules to avoid another indefinite block, I will strictly follow Wikipedia polices, and I am wanting to earn trust back the encyclopedia, I already did some edits on the Simple English Wikipedia, so, I want to get another chance to show that I have improved.
🌀 Mastercane FRX9500S 🌀 🌀 Talk Page! 🌀 12:43, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
Decline reason:
that the block is no longer necessary because you understand what you are blocked for, you will not do it again, and you will make productive contributions instead(quoted from WP:GAB, already linked several times on this page). This unblock request is so lightweight on detail about why your edits were inappropriate and how you would avoid getting into the same situation again. It tells me you have a vague grasp of the problem, but not how you would solve it without getting another block. So, this unblock request taken at face value also fails to convince otherwiseI'll be blunt - it's clear that these unblock requests aren't going anywhere, so I'll help you along and remove your talk page access so you can stop continuing to paint yourself further into a corner. I'll also note that the Standard Offer remains available with an earliest appeal date of 22 October 2026, but you'd do well to give it even longer given your repeated failure to keep your word so far - I'd recommend at least 9-12 months. stwalkerster (talk) 13:55, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
(Non-administrator comment) Explicitly promising to wait until October then going back on your word will not earn back the trust of the community. I strongly recommend you delete this appeal before an administrator sees it, otherwise you may lose access to your Talk page on addition to setting the timer on the Standard offer back even further than you already have - this will make it 22 October 2026. Blue Sonnet (talk) 13:09, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
- Just to reiterate, you already wrote "
I am really wanting 1 last chance, if it gets rejected, then I will wait until October 4, 2026, but I want 1 last chance, this will be my last unblock request
" in your third appeal. - We just can't believe what you say, you keep breaking your promises & you've done it again now.
- For the last time, I urge you to please follow the Standard offer. Blue Sonnet (talk) 13:12, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
- I just blocked them again. Alas. Time to file an SPI. -- asilvering (talk) 01:46, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
Context
@Mastercane FRX9500S, I'm sad to see that your Talk page access had to be removed because you weren't listening to us. To explain you why this happened, I'd like to show you the following:
Recommendations for you to take the Standard offer
Times you agreed to stop editing/appealing and follow the Standard offer
Times you broke your promise and continued to edit/appeal
You didn't stop, so an administrator had to force you to stop. Don't edit English Wikipedia for at least six months, preferably much longer.
If you choose to edit Simple English Wikipedia please be extremely careful - you've had lots of chances over here but you only get one chance over there. Blue Sonnet (talk) 14:37, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
Declined again (on an alt account)
- I just wanted to point out that Mastercane sought another unblock request on an alt account that was blocked.
- I understand already everything that led to my indefinite block, and I want 1 last chance, I the reason why I was blocked was because I went up doing edit warring and also saying to @Hurricanehink this: "I don't care! Wanna block me, go ahead then!" is was I said an that this was the reason why I was blocked, I want to be unblocked already, I know now everything that led to my indefinite block, and I want to be unblocked, as I will strictly follow Wikipedia's rules and guidelines, I will not engage in edit wars, but use talk pages instead, I will also not say stuff to other editors like that anymore, I am here to build an encyclopedia here in Wikipedia, not for edit wars, as I won't take the standard offer, I want to bypass it (without socking), I will another chance for editing to show editors that I have improved.
As the user has declined to take the standard offer, I blocked access to the talk page for the alternate account. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 19:18, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Hurricanehink You might also want to remove TPA for Masterstorm 67. HurricaneZeta alt (talk) 19:43, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- @HurricaneZeta alt: done, thanks for the reminder. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 19:46, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
Mastercane, sockpuppeting was a very poor idea. We've all been trying to give you advice that could possibly lead to you being unblocked at some point, and so far, you've ignored all of it, and made your situation far, far worse. The standard offer is basically the "last resort" option. I understand that you don't like this option, but it's your actions that have led you to this point, not anyone else. Last resorts, by definition, don't tend to be enjoyable options. If you choose to not stick to the standard offer, that's fine, but it also means that you've chosen for this to be, for all intents and purposes, the end of the road.
Hopefully, with your talk page access removed, you'll finally understand the seriousness of the issues. I would strongly urge you to log out of Wikipedia, and stay logged out for a few years. With a few years of growing up, and with no additional sockpuppetry, you will have followed the standard offer and may be able to make a convincing case for why you can be a productive editor on English Wikipedia.
Whatever you choose to decide, I wish you the best in your future endeavors, whether or not they include Wikipedia. Being young has a lot of blessings, and I hope you take advantage of them. So many paths are open to you for you to explore, and you're a long way away from having to commit to a few of them. I'm nearly 50 and have a career I greatly enjoy and find incredibly fulfilling, and has earned me a bit of recognition -- some may call it notoriety -- but I am sad sometimes knowing that the general storyline of my tale is basically set at this point. So enjoy your time away from Wikipedia; you may find new experiences that you find even more fulfilling. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 20:01, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- Mastercane also reached out to me on commons. "Hurricanehink, please, why do I have to take the standard offer, I don't deserve this, I really want to get unblocked already, how I can be unblocked earlier than 6 months?! " I have reported Mastercane to Commons admins. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 20:27, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, it feels like that this is going to end, sooner or later, with a global lock on this editor. It really is a shame to see this as it was so easily avoidable if the editor could have stopped focusing on their desire to be unblocked for just a minute. The only silver lining is that I believe the community to generally be quite forgiving of long-ago blocks for immaturity of young editors, so perhaps this editor will be back some day as a quality contributor. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 20:34, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- Seconded, they really don't seem to understand how this looks from the outside - they don't have the ability to see how disruptive this all is and that their promise to definitely do better this time falls flat when they've also promised to definitely stop appealing if their appeal fails. Except they didn't really mean it, here's another appeal.
- They've got the enthusiasm, but it's woefully misdirected and they need to put the effort in to show they can be trusted in future.
- They think there's an easy way out or a shortcut, unfortunately there just isn't one. Blue Sonnet (talk) 20:40, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- And just like that, they've made another sockpuppet, now blocked. Absolutely unreal. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 01:59, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- It's best they should stop creating more sockpuppet accounts given this would make it harder for their own account to be unblocked and listen to the other editors advice. Hopefully. Galaxybeing (talk) 02:23, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- That would be absolutely wonderful, unfortunately they don't appear to be able to understand this. They promised they would never create sockpuppets but they've gone ahead and done just that. It's just another broken promise from them, one of many. Blue Sonnet (talk) 04:10, 26 April 2026 (UTC)

- @Mastercane FRX9500S I'm replying to this comment on Commons - where you've also been blocked for six months:
I only socked once, but I am out of tricks, the only thing I will do is just find a way without taking 6 months or socking.
- That's not possible. You need to wait six months, there is no way around it - if there was another option, we would have told you about it by now.
- Imagine how this looks from the outside - how do we know you won't do this to any other Wikipedia rule?
- "I don't feel like providing a source because that takes too long, I'll keep adding my text until I get my way".
- "I don't want to follow copyright guidelines, it's easier to cut and paste straight from this other website".
- "I don't want to follow the Standard offer, I'll keep appealing until I get my way".
- You keep trying to find a loophole that doesn't exist, an easy way out that just isn't there.
- You can only appeal through the UTRS system on Wikipedia through your original account, but even that can be taken away from you if you continue to misuse the appeals process.
- Wikipedia is a private website with set rules that you must follow in order to use this website. You don't get to change or ignore those rules just because you feel like it or don't like them.
- Half a dozen people have tried to explain this to you, for goodness' sake please start listening to us. Blue Sonnet (talk) 20:02, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- And just like that, they've made another sockpuppet, now blocked. Absolutely unreal. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 01:59, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
Mastercane, you need to note that editing while logged out is not' a way to do it without following the standard offer or socking. WP:LOUTSOCKING tolls your six months back to the start, and once your TA editing is discovered, any editor may choose to revert your edits, even good edits. It also makes your path back longer and less likely. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 04:54, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- @CoffeeCrumbs Further comments here will be unhelpful, as they're one sock (maybe none) from a ban. GiftedIceCream 14:32, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- Sadly, I believe that this is the case. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 15:51, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- I've left my final comment on the matter at Commons - I know I'd literally just written a post saying we should leave them alone, so I'm going to follow my own advice and stop responding further. Their reply to my final post says everything it needs to. Blue-Sonnet 15:57, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- Sadly, I believe that this is the case. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 15:51, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- I'm as patient as they come but there's unfortunately no way for us to get through to this editor.
- Sock TA's should probably be quietly reported to AIV (Twinkle makes this easy), since there are a couple of CU's who look after those reports & can log a full SPI if necessary.
- I think we've all spent more than enough time trying to help this editor, but this is help that they're just not willing to accept. Blue-Sonnet 14:46, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

Just as a note, for any future unblock request, that Mastercane has almost certainly been editing while logged out using another nearby ISP, as any TA reviewer can verify, at User_talk:~2026-33324-65. This newest TA is already blocked, not for block evasion, but for consistently making unsourced edits. Mastercane, six months for the purpose of a WP:STANDARDOFFER would now be November 4th. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 04:03, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
- The link of this newest TA to the previous TAs that Mastercane was using to WP:LOUTSOCK can be seen here [] for any TAIV. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 04:09, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
- It looks like they may have returned via a proxy as Special:Contributions/~2026-34127-74 - I'm afraid I need to start work shortly, is there any chance you could please see what you think? If not, I'll review it when I'm finished. In solidarity, Blue-Sonnet (I'm listening) 04:52, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
- It certainly looks similar, but unlike the other TA, I didn't really have any direct evidence to report to SPI, and I really hate not being able to substantiate something better. Especially since this is an area that has had multiple editors with similar problems, like train routes or airline routes. Definitely keeping an eye on that one. Luckily, there are a lot of eyes on this area. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 05:08, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
