Wikiproject:Italian Football

Hi ya. I see you add to Italian Football articles from time to time. Just wondering if you want to check out Wikipedia:Italian Football. We are just hoping to organise our efforts towards improving articles better. If you want to sign up just put your name down under participants on the project. You can do as much or as little work as you like and any ideas on improving pages would be great. Niall123 18:49, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

France national football team

in reply to: The October FIFA ranking is out! France is three now. Matt86hk talk 15:23, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

All done, i wasnt reverting the ranking edit, if u see closely, that edit clears almost half the article and i was reverting this. Anyway i wasnt aware about the ranking, thanks for reminding me Martin_tamb 15:30, 18 October 2006.

Ibrahim Maaroufi

The website you linked on his article is not related at all to the Moroccan FA. Actually, it is [www.frmf.ma/ www.frmf.ma], and there's nothing about Maaroufi in it. In addition, all noteworthy articles I've found in the Internet state him as Belgian, and Inter Milan does it too, so I don't see the reason why to state him as Moroccan. He doesn't seem to have ever played for Morocco, by the way. --Angelo 19:05, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

If you search by club, or Maroufi, you will find him. The site is for the national team. (secon link) - Matt86hk talk 01:31, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, but it's not the official website of the Moroccan FA. Anyway, I've found a source (in French) which states Maaroufi as member of the "National Olympic Team" of Morocco for a stage ot be held next November: [1]. So, according to related guidelines, he is Moroccan at first (at least for now). --Angelo 11:49, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Malvern Fringe Festival

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your introduction, and the tips for writing good articles.

Do you have any specific comments on our page that could improve its quality, or maybe just to tighten it up?

Thanks.

B-teams

Hi Matthew - I saw you created articles about national football B-teams. Since B-teams are generally referred to as, well, "B-teams", with the word B and team combined with a hyphen, I think the article names for national B-teams should be Scotland national football B-team rather than Scotland B national football team. What are your thoughts on this? Qwghlm 23:09, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Templates

why are you deleting templates? it took me a lot of time to fill them

Bayern Munich Junior Team

I moved your comment to the talk page for Bayern Munich Junior Team. Kingjeff 15:34, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Stefan Maierhofer

How about trying to research his place of birth? There are 2 links there that you can do that with. Kingjeff 15:58, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

mgrtitle

I noticed your edit to Bayern's squad TP. ([2]). There is a feature of the manager template which is demonstrated by this edit.

Also for club infoboxes, you can use:
mgrtitle = Coach
for similar effect. (see [3]). Hope this info helps.  sʟυмɢυм • т  c  00:31, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Mattia Marchesetti

I restored the article but you should put some time into expanding it to keep it from being redeleted. ~ trialsanderrors 19:06, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Marco Rossi

Thanks for editing all those links. Just for future reference, the convention for porn performers is "Name (porn star)", as there is often a separate "Name (actor)" who doesn't appear in porn films. I've asked for the pages to be reversed: "Marco Rossi (actor)" will redirect to "Marco Rossi (porn star)".

Also, it's a really bad idea to edit other's user pages. I don't really mind, but you might easily run into someone who does. Just leave them a note on the talk page about what needs to be edited. The link on mine would have just pointed to the disambiguation page.

Thanks again.Chidom talk  22:58, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

A TFD action of yours

Hi, here, I notice that you rearranged all the comments into sections. It's important to remember that XfD is not a vote, but rather a consensus building process, so we don't tend to rearrange any debates. Thanks, Martinp23 20:19, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Template comment

Hello, I saw you reverted some edits I made using the nft, fc and ac templates. Please let me know if there is a policy against using these. I was adding them since they save space and are generally easy to use. However, if it's not allowed I'll stop using them. Best regards. Jogurney 05:41, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

European footie bio stubs

I quite agree that this needs breaking up. We need a separate stub for each major country, e.g. Russia and Austria. We also need a few hundred articles expanded so that they are no longer stubs, but that may take longer.--Runcorn 14:32, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Not even half-done article

Hi. I moved Football at the 1992 Summer Olympics - Men's team squads to your user space, you can now find and edit it on User:Matthew hk/Football at the 1992 Summer Olympics - Men's team squads. Having stubs and incomplete articles in Wikipedia is one thing, but this one is just not good enough to post in the main namespace yet. Please work on it in your user space then release it when it has grown. Punkmorten 19:09, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Chiquinho

Hi, I noticed that Chiquinho is on your to-do list. I started working on the article yesterday, and I was wondering if you could upload an image for the article, I don't really know how to do it. I think I found a pretty good image here: http://dev.fcsuperfund.at/PortalData/1/Resources//meisterschaftsspiele/chico_gakcup300.jpg --- Efil4tselaer 16:00, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Serie A deletion

You better have a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/La Liga 2006/2007 results December 2006. Basically a non footballing wikipedian has nominated the detailed results sections of Serie A and La Liga for deletion. I'm personally totally against them being deleted. I've voted to keep the pages and I just thought I'd highlight this as you might want to vote either way on this. Thanks Niall123 18:38, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

footballers with diacritics

Hi, when you create footballers with diacritics in their name, like Peter Šinglár for instance. Can you please also create redirects to the article from other possible names that people might use to get to this article, like Peter Singlár, Peter Šinglar and Peter Singlar? Thanks, SportsAddicted | discuss 13:45, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Carlos Eduardo de Castro Lourenco

  • What the hell are you doing?! I gave you evidence of his loan to Sporting Lisbon from Man Utd, so bloody leave it there!
