Counter Vandalism Unit?
Hey, I dedicate most of my time on Wikipedia to reverting vandalism (you got there just before me on reverting San Francisco 49ers) and noticed that you were part of a 'Counter Vandalism Unit'. Could you tell me more about this please? Thanks. -Bottlecapninja 20:25, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Vandal
If he does it again, mention this case in your report. It'll show a longer pattern of only vandalism. The only reason I didn't do an indef time was he only showed two edits, so I did 48 hours. I'll be gone 24-28 June on vacation.Rlevse 22:09, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia Rent-A-Cop
Hey Mattie, I just saw your discussion with the Wikipedia admins about you putting the PROD notice back on my user page after I removed it to contest it. I'm glad they talked some sense into you.
It's okay, I forgive you for vandalizing my page, hunnybear.
XOXOXO
Do you ever give up? After a 48hr ban I'd expect you would but obviously not MattieTK 11:02, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Striking your vote
Hello MattieTK,
Thank you for your interest in the Wikimedia Board Election. The Election Committee regretfully informs you that your previous vote was received in error and will be struck according to the election rules, described below.
The Election Committee regretfully announces today that we will have to remove approximately 220 votes submitted. These votes were cast by people not entitled to vote. The election rules state that users must have at least 400 edits by June 1 to be eligible to vote.
The voter lists we sent to Software in the Public Interest (our third party election partner) initially were wrong, and one of your account was eventually included to our initial list. There was a bug in the edit counting program and the sent list contained every account with 201 or more edits, instead of 400 or more edits. So large numbers of people were qualified according to the software who shouldn't be. The bug has been fixed and an amended list was sent to SPI already.
Our first (and wrong) list contains 80,458 accounts as qualified. The proper number of qualified voters in the SPI list is now 52,750. As of the morning of July 4 (UTC), there are 2,773 unique voters and 220 people, including you, have voted who are not qualified based upon this identified error.
In accordance with voting regulations the Election Committee will strike those approximately 220 votes due to lack of voting eligibility. The list of struck votes is available at https://wikimedia.spi-inc.org/index.php/List_of_struck_votes.
We are aware of the possibility that some of the people affected may have other accounts with more than 400 edits, and hence may still be eligible to vote. We encourage you to consider voting again from another account, if you have one. If you have no other account eligible to vote, we hope you reach the criteria in the next Election, and expect to see your participation to the future Elections.
Your comments, questions or messages to the Committee would be appreciated, you can make them at m:Talk:Board elections/2007/en. Other language versions are available at m:Translation requests/Eleccom mail, 07-05.
Again, we would like to deeply apologize for any inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Kizu Naoko

Reverting vandals as you warn?
I just reverted Paplr's edit to Sage and looked up the talk page to warn this user, only to realize that you had warned this user about the same edit 20 minutes ago. Could you please make sure that you actually revert the edit that you warn about? Thanks, and have a nice day, Lisatwo 21:25, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- My apologies Lisatwo, I swear thought I saw the article already reverted, which is why I placed the warning (thinking the user was not informed). I will double check next time. MattieTK 21:28, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
I just wanted to know how the tool was working for you. Any suggestions or complaints? Thanks. Wikidudeman (talk) 16:26, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- It's a very useful compilation, the only way I personally can think of improving it in it's current state is to add a configuration page where users can alter global settings. Don't know if this is possible or not :) It truly is a great piece of kit though, thanks MattieTK 16:46, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
What sort of things would you alter? Wikidudeman (talk) 16:48, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- I would like at time to disable some of the mods that are included, or change the function of some buttons, i understand the button at the top right disables it entirely, but at times I'd just like to remove a section so another mod can be used instead. This would improve the usability of the compilation as users are not forced to use all the included mods. I understand this is kinda counter-intuitive, hope you understand the issue :D MattieTK 17:20, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:OPPFav.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:OPPFav.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:52, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

If you have credible source which will tell you that teh paine is real and not fake/hoax/just some guy from the internet then new text is ok. Else i will change it back, because i didn't find any credible source which would have backed him up. --Zache 22:04, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism on the Bleach Page
I noticed you tried to revert the vandalism under the history section in Bleach, but as I see it the current version still has a string of nonsense letters there. I'm fairly new to Wikipedia and don't really know how they handle reverts here, so could you please take a look at the page and deal with it, and report the vandal if applicable. Thanks. --Pdeq (talk) 00:42, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- Will do, thanks for getting in touch. MattieTK 21:40, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
Thank you for correcting my spelling. I don't know how I cold have misspelled, but I am happy that there are people like you to catch others when it happens. I have question about the article: it seems like a lot of it is basically a direct copy of the text here[1]. Did I do that out-of-site link correctly? If I didn't, sorry. -76.188.26.92 (talk) 22:51, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- Almost got the link nailed, it would be [http://www.glosa.org/en/ here], no '|' just a space. Thanks for notifying me of this, I've placed a copyright violation notice on the page in question - as you know Wikipedia is a 100% free source, and as such cannot have simple copy-paste articles without permission. MattieTK 23:10, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- Darn! So close :). Thanks. I'll see if I can rewrite it. -76.188.26.92 (talk) 04:58, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- If you wish to rewrite it please look at the copyright violation banner and do so where it asks - go as far as copying your current changes over, then leave a note on the talk page that you have done so. The article should not be modified until an administrator has taken a look at it and decided upon action. Thanks. MattieTK 11:24, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Admin coach
Sure. You have less than 1000 edits. You mainly need time and experience. Uses with less than 200-2500 edits rarely make admin. So plug away at various parts of wiki, many areas. The CVU is good but branch out. Always try to be calm, rational, and fair in your responses. You can try things like reporting vandals at AIV, socks at SSP, watching and participating in AN and ANI, voting on AfD, CfD, etc. Always use edit summries. I have a watch on your page now and have added you to my coachee list. — Rlevse • Talk • 22:35, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

WP:AFC Backlog Drive
WikiProject Articles for creation needs your help! | |
WikiProject Articles for creation has done a tremendous job in working at WP:AFC over the past 7½ months. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication! Together, we've made the submission process easier and more streamlined, developed tools to make the process go faster for reviewers, and cut the backlog down to a mere fraction of what it once was. Well done! As you all are aware, however, our work is not quite yet done. The project still has 10 archive pages left to complete, which include over half a month's worth of submissions, many of which have not been completely reviewed. We need your help to finish looking over these neglected submissions so that we can finally remove the backlog notice from the page, and put an end to the more than two year old backlog that has been a thorn in our side for ages! Participants will receive an AFC Barnstar, so hurry up and help out while there's still work to be done! Make sure to sign in on the WikiProject's talk page so we know who is involved in what promises to be our final effort to complete this goal. Thank you for all your help! |
You are receiving this letter because you are listed as a participant in the Articles for creation WikiProject at WP:WPAFC. To avoid receiving further notices, please remove your name from the list. Thanks!

None of these are true. AFAIK, nobody except the police have the OiNK source code, the servers have been wiped and OiNK has still not yet had his computers returned. Rollback granted
After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback can be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback may be removed at any time.
If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Happy editing! So, I've never really used Wikipedia before and I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post something like this, but I couldn't find where to actually talk to you, MattieTK. Anyways, I hope you're not annoyed by the fact that I used this area here. So, I apologize if I should post elsewhere (If I should post elsewhere to talk to you, I would find it helpful if you would tell me where). But anyways, to what I wanted to actually say: My comment on World War 3 which you unnecessarily deleted was not intended to be nonconstructive, a joke, or anything else that Wikipedia wouldn't want me to write on there website. It was a fact about World War 3 that I thought was interesting which should have been under "Popular Culture" for World War 3. I was just trying to help and be constructive. Sorry if you misunderstood. Anyways, I'm not going to bother to put it up again on my own seeing as how I've already had it taken down twice, but if you would give me the "O.K." to doing it again, I will. Thank you for you time, and I hope you don't misunderstand anything I have done. I was attempting to be helpful. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.216.52.151 (talk) 20:02, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi mate. Your comments would be taken a lot more seriously by the community as a whole if you created an account and cited your references. Simply placing information which could be taken as vandalism or a "joke comment" on the encyclopaedia is just asking for a revert. If you could find references that cite your fact then you can put it back on the article, though I recommend establishing yourself as a trusted user before making edits such as these. You can start by creating an account :) Hope this helps MattieTK 20:07, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, MattieTK, for being helpful. I'll go create an account and try to find an online source before I post again. You truly were helpful, and thank you for that. By the way, would this type of area be the right place to post if I'm trying to talk to user?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.216.52.151 (talk) 20:02, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yes it is mate, this is a user's "talk" page where you're automatically informed of postings to it so you can reply. You'll have your own one when you sign up. Make sure to come say hi to me when you do :) Also - please remember to sign your edits on talk pages with four ~s like this ~~~~. This will print your username and the date of the edit so it's easier to identify who said what. Thanks, and welcome to Wikipedia :D MattieTK 20:15, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Ogitchidaag
My name is Ogitchidaag. I am trying to add a proven and documented section to the Wade Rathke Wikipedia page. The addition is based almost entirely on quotes from the NY Times. Someone named Solidarity Forever Undid the revision. There is also a link at the bottom of the page that goes to the NY TImes Article. [User:Ogitchidaag|Ogitchigaad] —Preceding comment was added at 02:40, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- I suggest you contact the person who removed your submission rather than I, they would be better suited to assisting you with your request. Till then I suggest you get yourself on the trusted users list by helping with vandalism, typing errors etc rather than making major edits. This will help your case as you will no longer be automatically subjected to review. MattieTK 09:33, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
O sole mio
Dear Mattie I do not know if you are a native italian speaker or if you understand the Neapolitan dialect. In any case my corrections to the translation of the song were made to be closer to the true meaning of the italian text. The translation proposed (I do not know where it is from) slightly misinterprets the 2nd and third lines (and maybe some other lines too). It was not vandalism, but a way to improve the contento of the page. You seemed to me very fast and overly confident in reverting back to the original content. In any case I do not care too much if english-speakers read a slighly different song. Cheers
- Hi mate. In no way am I meaning to doubt your skills as an interpreter. Unfortunately anonymous IP edits that change the content of pages are often marked as vandalism and are reverted as a precaution to the integrity of the encyclopaedia as a whole. If you wish to make the edit I would suggest to make an account and establish yourself as a trusted user beforehand, or note on the articles talk page the error and let a more experienced editor handle it. In this way you will not be marked immediately as possible vandalism. I can promise not to touch the article, but there are many people who rabidly watch the recent changes and revert anything suspicious. I'm sorry if this has offended you, I had no intentions as such - I don't even speak Italian. Regards, MattieTK 10:26, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

My constructive addition to Auto-Tune
I believe my addition of Commenting that Disney use Autotune and the digital sound it gives its singers was very constructive so that young Wikipedia readers would be able to actually hear demonstrations of Auto-Tune in actual music rather than wonder how it sounds when used. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.30.104.188 (talk) 09:45, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Unfortunately the edit to made to Autotune could be seen as vandalism attacking the Disney corporation. If you're going to make a controversial edit seem constructive please think about adding references that clearly state that Disney use autotune and specify the cases where it is proven. Making a broad claim can not only seem aggressive but is also factually inaccurate as the Disney corporation encompasses many recording outlets (Disney_Music_Group). Thank you. - Hi Brettyboy25. Unfortunately I seem to have mistaken some of the edits you have made for vandalism and as such have somewhat foolishly regarded all your edits to the article to be vandalism. I hope you can accept my apologies for any mistakes I have made in this case. However, some of the claims you have made in the article are controversial[3] and unencyclopaedic [4]. Please, in the case of edits which could be mistaken to be vandalism, attempt to provide a citation or reference. In instances involving unencyclopaedic content, as shown in the latter link, it is probably best not to introduce this content to Wikipedia. Thank you for your time, MattieTK 20:24, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Earwing Article Revision
Hi Mattie,
I'm wondering why my edit to this article was reversed and labeled vandalism. If anything, the user who introduced the following sentence should be labeled as a vandal for having such terrible construction: "Earwigs are omnivores and are predisposed to hiding in small holes and warm humid crevices, so might crawl into a human ear canal; but this behavior has no basis in fact."
I simply rewrote the sentence in order to add some coherence: "Earwigs are omnivores and are predisposed to hiding in small holes and warm humid crevices. They might crawl into a human ear canal. but this behavior has no basis in fact." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jcooknv (talk • contribs) 13:46, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Jcooknv, unfortunately there were several instances of vandalism after your edit and in reverting them I seem to have placed the warning on the wrong userpage. I'm striking it from your record now. I apologise for the problem and am now working to improve the English in the article myself. Regards, MattieTK 13:53, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Tastes like chicken
Please help me. I am starting to get very upset. I have spent a lot of time working on this category, and I didn't at all mean for this to be construed as vandalism. I think that this category that I created is most likely the problem, because it sounds too facetious. Please please please help me figure this out so I don't get tagged as a vandal repeatedly and locked out of Wikipedia! I really do need help, and I don't know how to fix all this. Owlgorithm (talk) 21:46, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi mate. Unfortunately the problem stands not in your actions but in the fact that the category is quite literally opinion based and as such has no place in the encyclopaedia. It could also be seen as completely useless, and categories only serve one function in the Wiki, and that is to be useful. Please read this page and see if it helps explain why your category choice may be seen as insensible. Thanks for the effort however, it is appreciated :) MattieTK 21:57, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you, this really helps. I cited many references, but even those will be opinionated, so I understand now that this was not in the best interests of Wikipedia. As far as the vandalism thing, though -- what is going to happen? Is there any way to clear my name? I am terribly embarrassed, and I am worried that I will be blocked, because I made a large number of edits on different articles in order to cite sources, so that I will most likely get more vandalism notices. Is there any way to prevent this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Owlgorithm (talk • contribs)
- If you get any don't let them get to you. It was an honest mistake made in good faith. You cannot get blocked on Wikipedia for edits made in good faith, which is a clear defence you will have if you ever have to contact an administrator about it (which I'm certain you won't). As far as the warning from me goes, in editing your talk page I have shown that the warning was my error and as such it can never be used against you, you can even blank it now if you wish to remove it. All you need is the diff to prove this. I hope this solves your problem but if you need any other help don't hesitate to ask :) MattieTK 22:14, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

I thought it best to point out the problems with their article and note it as under construction to give them a few days to sort it before I consider it for deletion. I don't know how you feel about the situation, it's not really my call, but I think considering the effort they have put in and that they know that references and citations are required, giving them a few days to sort it should be no real problem. MattieTK 21:54, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Thanks for your reply. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 22:07, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- If the article is refused speedy I will definitely check on it in the next few days to ensure work is happening. Else I will personally nominate it for deletion. Thanks for your help, MattieTK 22:10, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

User talk:Owlgorithm
Hi, You recently reverted this edit from Owlgorithm. While I think the change is POV and eminently revertable, your warning to him was for vandalism. It is not really vandalism and the user is worried about being blocked. Would you please reconsider and change your reversion notice to something more exact? Thanks for your attention. -- Alexf42 22:04, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry mate, I'll be more careful about such changes in future. I'll notify the user questioned that the warning was in error but Wikipedia is not the place for POV. Thanks for notifying me! MattieTK 22:06, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

- Eichikiyama, I have removed the warning from your talk page and undone my revert. There is a short note there for you and any other editors interested. I'm very sorry about the incident, it should never have happened as you did everything absolutely correctly. MattieTK 14:22, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hello, MattieTK, when you edit, could you please check sources? The person's argument is half false. The links are not "totally dead". The half links are dead, the others are Eichikiyama's mistake or whatever. You should revert your edit one more time.--Caspian blue (talk) 14:23, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi again Caspian. I'm afraid I cannot read the korean/japanese/chinese on the page and therefore reverted in good faith assuming the user was correct. They looked dead when I loaded them to check. If you want to go through and put the links that still include information back in the article then please do that for me, it would be a great help. Cheers mate :) MattieTK 14:26, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- You will see WP:AGF is not always effective to someone who keeps deleting "Korean mention only" from articles. Is this really an appropriate use of rollback? ——RyanLupin • (talk) 14:16, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Ryan. I'm in the process of correcting this mistake; the user has contacted me about it. It should never have happened if I had read the edit summary instead of my mind flaring off with "removal of content", probably due to the absurdly long links. - Hi mate. Thanks for your contributions, many of them to that article have been very useful. I'm sorry the revert function removed many I didn't see. I immediately took your addition of the word 'negro' to be offensive, not becuase I personally find it offensive in an article (that wouldn't matter anyway), but because of the circumstances under which it was added. You replaced text with a reiteration, which I saw as perfectly factual[6]. If I've made a mistake here you have my apologies and of course have the permission to reinstate it. MattieTK 20:09, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
- That's ok, Mattie. I speak Spansish, and in Spanish "negro" is not offensive, but the way we call the dark skinned people. I did not realize it was offensive in any way in English. I changed it by "African Brazilian" which even makes more sense according to the ppoint I am trying to make. Thanks for your help.

Trivia Sections
If you feel that trivia sections are important, then please write them in an appropriate way. Removing trivia lists is a constructive way to promote a better Wikipedia. I hope you will take the time to write the information if you deem it important. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.219.243.129 (talk) 13:15, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
What's up with the "Miss Understood" entry?
This article is about a New York based drag performer. Someone inserted information about a totally different person, a graffiti artist, in the middle of the article. Thisartist should have her own article, inserting in the middle of a different one is confusing and, though I'm no expert, does not seem to follow Wikipedia's format.
Every time someone tries to correct it (removing the addition) an anti-vandalism person (you were the most recent) jumps in and undoes the correction. You are basically adding back an awkward entry. There should simply be a disambiguation page and another entry.
Is something automated going on or did you read the article? What is the correct procedure in this situation?
Oh, by the way, Miss Understood (the drag performer, I'm a big fan) is on Project Runway tonight! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.96.72.13 (talk) 21:48, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Latham Circle
My explanation of removing the Latham Circle redirect was at the discussion page for Latham Circle Mall which was the page it was redirected to. Perhaps some investigation or you contacting me on my talk page first could have solved this instead of you NOT using "good faith" as wikipedians should. The Latham Circle is not a name for the mall, it is a rotary/traffic circle and is not used in such a manner in colloquial use, someone searching latham circle would not be interested in seeing Latham Circle Mall. I removed the redirect to allow users to write an article on this important intersection of US route 9 and NYS route 2. Use good faith and common sense please! I ask that you removed from my talk page as well that comment on vandalism. By the way, you should perhaps not open with "welcome to wikipedia" as I have been on for over a year and have started and been the main (and sometimes only) contributor to articles that have made it to class B and higher. Insulting users will only drive them away. I have seen many people complain about this to admins and others who think they are being "polite", your being condescending and ignorant really.Camelbinky (talk) 23:26, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

- Hi. Firstly articles are not "owned" on Wikipedia. Once something is submitted it is free for all to access and edit - no one user has more or less control over it. Secondly, if you wish to propose deletion for an article please submit it for AfD rather than blanking the page - which can, and will, be seen and destructive vandalism rather than contructive deletion. Thank you, MattieTK 09:47, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Apologies, I looked on the page for a 'report' function, but couldn't find it. User of said article is very young, and said article has no fact nor information based on it as it doesn't exist. It seems someone has already flagged it for AfD though - thanks for setting me straight :). (77.102.241.71 (talk) 09:53, 15 December 2008 (UTC))

ABS-CBN Article?
Hello! Im Sorry to do that, however, ABS-CBN does not view any future program schedule of the network, unless they advertise on the TV screen. ABS-CBN Management does not to view immediatelly on the net except during the recent trade show for new shows of the network and the official website of the network or any source of the press media of the philippines. It will only view during the last week of the year during ASAP. Without permission of ABS-CBN. - I'm sorry, I'm not entirely sure as to what you mean. Are you saying that the broadcasting network does not allow it's television schedule to be released onto the internet in advance of listings? If this is the case then it's more of a issue of not being encylopaedic rather than censorship of confidential materials. I'm sorry if I reverted a good faith edit - IPs removing large amounts of information from an article with no edit summary is very suspicious MattieTK 10:35, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

That edit wasn't meant as vandalizm. Maybe it was slightly POV-leaning and maybe my wording was a little non-encyclopedic, but the edit was genuine, you really should see the pics released in 2005 to believe me; the girl has extremely wonderful legs, that photo on the cover of the article does no justice. My honest opinion has been that if the papers say these things and the papers are taken to be repubale sources, then these things are worthy of being on Wikipedia. You may wish to change the words slightly but I shouldn't delete it. Goodbye. Fuquit (talk) 11:40, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi Mattie - please don't fix the "typos" on my archive pages - if they're there like that, they're there for a reason (in this case because the templates really are usually referred to as mississippi-geo-stub and the like, without the capital). Your page on "Kosher Tax" is biased and deceptive. It asserts that anyone who questions why these symbols are all over their food products, and how much money is paid, is a racist, antisemite, or a white supremacist. If it is your intetion to insult readers, than you should leave the page the way it is. What's next - "Republican - one who hates everyone but white people". This is intellectually dishonest.
The first sentence contains "canard", "urban legend", "antisemitic", "white supremacist", and "extremist". These are assertions. The whole page is an assertion. I can see where people have addressed it before. Obviously, they have been ignored.

- Hi Scott. I'm afraid the edit you are trying to make is going against a sentence that cites two[9][10] excellent sources, and paraphrases them. Your edit has no backing evidence, and please remember that Wikipedia does not censor content that may be deemed harmful or offensive. If you wish to make this edit, perhaps a better place would be proposing a change on the talk page, or finding reliable sources for your own point. MattieTK 12:31, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Your rude comments
Hi, I see you slapped a number of policies on my talk page. Please note that deletion of SOURCED material is vandalism. Did you read any of the sources provided? Did you engage in discussion on talk page. That is what one is supposed to do, I guess. Trying to censor information is not part of any wikipedia policies. Instead of blankly reverting, try to discuss the issue - the very fact that you remove sourced material and do not engage in discussion should be enough to determine who is violating policies here. 78.30.163.113 (talk) 11:23, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- It's clear you didn't read any of the policies I posted either, and considering your edit had already been reverted twice as vandalism I suggest you perhaps read through them instead of continually making disruptive edits. I'm a great advocate that wikipedia is not censored and have no conflict of interest on the Czech Republic. MattieTK 11:31, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- Is it clear? How do you know I didnt read it? I just dont think it applies here. The info is correct and is sourced, and while you might want it presented differently, it is certainly appropriate. Moreover, it is far from vandalism. 78.30.163.113 (talk) 11:37, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- In placing your own, ridiculously biased, point of view on the article you are disrupting the article and not improving it. You are currently gaming the system even though the system itself is against you. I suggest instead of wasting your time trying to present this fallacy, reword your statement without the point of view spin so it can be added into the article. At which point I would have no objection, before I take this to WP:AN/I. MattieTK 11:43, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, but what you say makes no sense. System is not against me or anyone else, but it precisely helps to avoid blank revertions that you do. You did not engage the issue on talk page? You did not dispute any concrete claims. It seems to me that you are the one who is gaming the thing here. All claims are supported, and you can rise objections to what you dislike, but blanking the entire thing just because it does not fit with your prejudices/POV/lack of information is certainly inappropriate. 78.30.163.113 (talk) 11:56, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

There is ample reasoning on the article's talk page, from several editors, for the removal of your biased content. So far I have seen nothing from you which would constitute good reasoning for keeping the edit as it is. MattieTK 12:04, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

On a small display, your user page is extremely odd. I can't see anything but empty pink and if I scroll right far enough, purple. Pseudomonas(talk) 11:55, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Rock of Love Vandal
I have ben battling this editor over vandalism. Things have been disruptive for a decent minute, with the edits being simply ridiculous. From blanking to removing the format of everything. Seeing that you are a part of the Counter Vandalism, I figured you would be best to talk to about this. Thanks in advance and CHEERS!!--EmperorofPeopleEverywhere (talk) 22:28, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hi mate. If you have gone through all the necessary warnings and the user or IP will still not stop their vandalism it is best to report them to administrator intervention against vandalism. Thanks for your help with the wiki :) MattieTK 22:34, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
It's his own talk page. He can blank it if he wants. Please stop disrupting the user. MattieTK 14:39, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi Mattie
You just gave me my final warning for complaining about my previous warning!!! What the hell!!! So I might have posted in the wrong place - it's not my fault wikipedias user interface is so damn confusing. I was simply voicing my disgust at my John Holmes article edit being changed.
Which brings me to point number 2 - nobody has bothered to respond to my comment about how it was unfairly changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.78.54.244 (talk) 22:51, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
- You are disrupting the encyclopaedia to make a point. Please look into policy before making complaints as you did to Martin451. Your wording, in my opinion, was patronising to a user seeking to improve the encyclopaedia; especially as you asked for him to provide verifiability when you had none yourself. If you wish to make the edit please find reliable third party sources. Thank you for your time. MattieTK 22:59, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Fair enough - but I think I had to every right to be angry - he edited my post within 2 minutes, and clearly hadn't done any research of his own. The question of whether I'd done any research, regardless of citations, is much more murky - and I assure you, I did.
I can accept that I may not re-edit the article until I make a proper citation, but I would urge to remove my "final warning" as if you read my comment - i think you will see that there was absolutely no reason to warn me for it. And yes, I have read the policy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.78.54.244 (talk) 23:21, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
HI MATTIE - SORRY FOR THE CAPITAL LETTERS - IT'S JUST SO YOU REALISE I'VE ADDED SOMETHING NEW - can you please respond to my comment above. I would really appreciate it if you cut me some slack and remove my "final" warning - being on a final warning is not a nice way to live, and I dont think it was justified. Cheers mate —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.78.54.244 (talk) 00:56, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
MATTIE – PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS
Sorry to keep posting on your page, it's just I would really appreciate a reply. I don't think my "final" warning was justified, but I do concede some of my previous warnings/alerts were fair. I apologise for that - won't happen again.
Please respond to this though, and lift my final warning - being on a final warning is not a nice way to live.
I really don't think it was justified - I was simply complaining about a previous warning, and I got a final warning! Come on, cut me some slack mate,
Cheers

- Hello again, sorry for the time between your last message and this. I'm afraid I have been busy preparing for a university interview and had not had time to visit Wikipedia over the last day or two. After considering your statement I will retract the warning in good faith. Thank you for your correspondence and assistance with Wikipedia. MattieTK 16:31, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Please clarify 'vandalism'
I was unaware that the resource to justify an individuals opinion constituted vandalism, please inform me of the correct way to voice my personal opinion.

Admin coaching
Way back in December, you sent me an email asking me if I would coach you and I said that I would probably consider it as soon as I came back from my sabbatical. Well, I've decided to return. If you'd like to start, just ring me up on my talk and we'll get this started. Cheers, bibliomaniac15 05:54, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- I don't rush my coaching and stuff, I always take it one step at a time. Whenever RL gets less busy for you or you get out of your short wikibreak, just tell me and we can start. bibliomaniac15 18:40, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- I daresay you'll have to remind me to update. I'll try to be less forgetful of it, but you'll have to forgive me for it. I'm starting the page here: User:MattieTK/Admin coaching. bibliomaniac15 00:22, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Galactus Edit War Mediation
Hi. I'm trying to mediate an edit war over the Galactus article here. Can you chime in with your two cents? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 23:59, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
I didn't do it!
See below. How do I stop people vandalising with my IP?
The recent edit you made to Lemon Party has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Vandalism
Something isn't vandalism because you disagree with it or because you feel that everyone is equal. Why not move to a planet where everyone is born equal. Stay off of mine. Did you graduate from Stuyvesant? I did. What the heck do you know??

I disagree with your choice to remove Women's PE Briefs, a weekly newsletter for women in the private equity field, from the listing of PE media and magazines. Perhaps I didn't post it properly, as I am new to WikiPedia. The publication should be listed under W on that page. Do I need to submit a full page for Women's PE Briefs for it to link to?
