editHello, I'm Ushistorygeek. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to False protagonist have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Ushistorygeek (talk) 05:51, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hello. I apologize if it came off that way. A notice on the page complained about something called "Original research" and after some digging I felt I had fixed that problem by removing all unsourced entries MayDay2099 (talk) 06:01, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
ANI notice
editThere is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. 76.119.253.82 (talk) 14:40, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
I just wanted to let you know I reverted your edit on this page. While yes, normally you are not to remove a comment on a talk page, in the case where there is a blatant personal attack (and calling someone "racist scum" definitely qualifies), that edit can be removed. RickinBaltimore (talk) 14:44, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
- I edit-conflicted with Rick in doing the same, and was going to leave a similar note here. Please take care when restoring personal attacks. There are times when removing comments from a talk page is allowed, and this was clearly one of them. --Jayron32 14:47, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
- I have a question.
- Would it be considered any more or less of a "Personal attack" if it were true? Or at least relevant? I feel like maintaining and restoring a collection of accusations and criminal record reports on a murder victim, specificaly entries that have little-nothing to do with the actual killing, is bound to evoke a reaction from anyone who believes this is not a good thing to have on a page. MayDay2099 (talk) 02:05, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
- The comment itself, calling someone "racist scum", would not be appropriate in any case. An extreme example: Adolf Hitler was an anti-Semite. But you still can't use the term "Anti-Semitic scum" to describe him. RickinBaltimore (talk) 12:32, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
