Regarding Disney change, you asked for citations
- In 2017 D-Metal Stars created a Heavy Metal cover of the song on the album "Metal Disney" featuring Mike Vescera and Rudy Sarzo
I had linked the D-Metal Star wiki which should have the citations you require, this should not have been removed
- Unfortunately, neither Wikipedia itself nor other wikis are considered reliable for edits on Wikipedia. --McDoobAU93 15:28, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
I was referring to the references on the Wiki, like Rolling Stone Magazine
- "Rolling Stone Magazine"
- "Alternative Press"
- "Stereo Gum"
- "LoudWire"
- All Music - D-Metal Stars
- "D-Metal Stars - Chart history - Billboard". www.billboard.com.
- "Inside Disney's Attempt to Go Metal on New Covers Compilation".
- Then include the one that is appropriate for the content you're adding, and feel free to add it with a single citation. The burden of proof lies with the user adding the content. --McDoobAU93 16:01, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
Adopt-a-user - your availability
Hello. Could I ask you to check and, if necessary, update your availability details at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user/Adoptee's Area/Adopters, please?
I've been updating that page, plus the list of over 100 people seeking adoption (which I've now stripped down to around 20 active editors genuinely seeking help.
I've been working to identify those Adopters who are currently available, and those who haven't been active on Wikipedia for a while. But I don't think the bot has been updating correctly, so a manual check from you would be really helpful. I've also made some suggestions and a few edits to make life easier for newcomers. I've put some of my observations down in answer to a recent post about inactivity of some Adopt-a-User Project contributors. Regards from the UK, Nick Moyes (talk) 00:43, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
Xbox 360 backwards compatibility list
The game that was removed that you decided to take action to restore despite no evidence proving that it's compatible, was shown as not compatible in any region in the very entry that I deleted.
Yet we'll let it stay that way if you want it, since I'm not going to fight a Wikipedia editor that is guarding his turf. I've gone through that before, like another editor years ago on the Wii U Virtual Console page that insisted a 3 second clip of an old NES game in a promotional video before the system launched in 2012, was justifiable reason to show it as an upcoming release until a few weeks ago when I last checked for new releases.
This is supposed to be a list of games that are officially on the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility list, yet actions like this have heavily vandalized it through the years. A game that isn't compatible in any region doesn't belong on the backwards compatibility list, since it isn't backwards compatible in any region by the person's own admission that took the time to add it to the list in the first place. All of Microsoft's official backwards compatible updates for each region saw widespread media coverage back around 2005-2008 or whenever updates ceased, and this should be the evidence used to support each BC claim.
Dozens of games are incorrectly in that list, but I give up. I've been trying for months to help fix it here and there, but good faith yet misguided actions from you despite no evidence lent by you to support a particular game being backwards compatible result with your reversions, and vandalism from people that think because they can fire up Game A on their hacked Xbox 360 and see a title screen that it works and belongs on this list, has ruined it.
- If you had bothered to read my description, you'll notice I said that you failed to explain why you removed the content. If you had simply said "it's not on the official list", someone could have looked it up. I did go to the official list and found that the game you removed indeed isn't there, so I took it back out. But you'll see I added an edit summary to explain why I did it. Edit summaries help other editors understand your reasoning for a change ... take a few moments and tell us why, and maybe you won't encounter as much blowback in future, if you choose to keep editing. --McDoobAU93 12:33, 27 February 2018 (UTC)
Simba's Pride
Hello. Given that we've worked on Disney articles before, I'm thinking about getting The Lion King II: Simba's Pride to a B-Class or at least a GA. I think the article as a whole might need to be looked at, especially in the production section. Thoughts? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:46, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
- I just read through it, and "Production" definitely could use some work. It's all one big run-on paragraph with no cohesive main idea. Just needs more stuff. :) --McDoobAU93 12:06, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
Roller coasters
You probably don’t have any knowledge on roller coasters. ROBLOXfan123 (talk) 20:10, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hmmm, over 300 credits in two countries, write for a theme park fansite, have reverse POV videos on YouTube, run a local coaster club and am on a first-name basis with the current and past presidents for my home park (which is a 10-minute drive from home). But you're probably right ;) --McDoobAU93 20:19, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
But wouldn’t you know Lighting Rod’s height if you’re an enthusiast? ROBLOXfan123 (talk) 20:52, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
- Lightning ROBLOXfan123 (talk) 20:52, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
- You see, that's where Wikipedia guidelines come in. No reliable source has stated definitively what its lift height is. We know what Dollywood has said, but they would be a primary source for that. --McDoobAU93 20:57, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
Please attribute or claim media you uploaded or restored: File:SFOG TwistedCyclone.JPG
You uploaded or restored , File:SFOG TwistedCyclone.JPG, but for various reasons did not add an {{information}} block, or indicate your (user) name on the file description page. Media uploaded to Wikipedia needs information on the SPECIFIC authorship and source of files, to ensure that it complies with copyright laws in various jurisdictions.
If it's entirely your own work, please include {{own}} in the relevant source field, amend the {{information}} added by a third party, ensuring that your user name (or name you want used for attribution) is clear in the author field, and change the license to an appropriate "self" variant (if such a license is not already used). You should also add an |author= parameter to the license tag, to assist reviews and image patrollers. You can also add |claimed=yes
and an |author=
to the {{media by uploader}} or {{presumed_self}} tag if it is present to indicate that you've acknowledged the image, and license shown (and updated the {{information}} where appropriate).
If it's not entirely your own work, then please update the source and authorship fields, so that they accurately reflect the source and authors of the original work(s), as well as the derivative you created. You should also not use a "self" license unless the work is entirely you own. Media that is incorrectly claimed as self or {{own}}, will eventually be listed at Files for Discussion or deleted, unless it's full status is entirely clear to other contributors, reviewers and image patrollers.
Whilst this notification, relates to a single media upload, it would also be appreciated if you could ensure that appropriate attribution exists for other media you uploaded, You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
It's okay to remove or strike this message once the issue has been resolved :).
help with reverting a redirect
Hi /waves/. I posted a note on the WDW Incidents talk page; somehow it got moved to a "List of..." page instead of being kept at its original name. Can you help (or know someone who can help) flip the page back to its original title? Thx SpikeJones (talk) 01:34, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 20:12, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

Hello McDoobAU93, Early in A Child's Christmas in Wales the young Dylan and his friend Jim Prothero witness smoke pouring from Jim's home. After the conflagration has been extinguished Dylan writes that My thanks to you for your efforts to keep the 'pedia readable in case the firemen chose one of our articles :-) Best wishes to you and yours and happy editing in 2019.
