Your submission at Articles for creation

edit

Your nomination at Articles for Creation was a success, and McClellandtown, Pennsylvania was created. Please continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. Note that because you are a logged-in user, you can create articles yourself, and don't have to post a request. Thank you for helping Wikipedia! Eastmain (talk) 03:03, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Colonel Thomas Gaddis

edit

Hi, could it be that the name of the article should be changed to Thomas Gaddis? The Colonel is a title and only if he is known to a large extant as Colonel Thomas Gaddis it should be used that way. Have a look at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people) Thanks.--Stone (talk) 09:34, 19 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Studio Group

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Studio Group, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.delart.org/collections/HFS_library/finding_aids/Studio_Group_archive.htm.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Hello. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://archive.org/stream/historyoffayette00elli/historyoffayette00elli_djvu.txt. As a copyright violation, Tent Presbyterian Church appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Tent Presbyterian Church has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Dudemanfellabra (talk) 13:59, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

The file File:Infantry - Continental Army, 1779-1783.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused, superseded by c:File:Infantry, Continental Army, 1779-1783.jpg.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 03:53, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:12, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
