DYK for Tea production in Bangladesh
editOn 10 April 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Tea production in Bangladesh, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that tea production in Bangladesh began in 1840 when the first tea garden in the Indian subcontinent was set up in the port city of Chittagong? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Tea production in Bangladesh. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

References in an article
editI see you're fairly new to Wikipedia, and I noticed your comment on the DYK template for Oil and gas industry in Burma, about not knowing how to fix the bare urls. Creating articles in general, there is a handy feature on the Enhanced Editing Toolbar at the top of the edit window. At the top of your Wikipedia page should be an option for Preferences. Click on it, then do this:
- Click/select Editing option in Preferences
- Click/select Enable enhanced editing toolbar
- Save, and open an editing window on any article
- Click on the "Cite" option on the toolbar
- Click on Template drop down box on the left side
- Click on any cite choice that comes up under the arrow.
- A pop up box appears with fill-in-the-blanks to insert properly formatted references.
Maybe you already knew about that. But if not, thought I'd mention it. Happy editing. — Maile (talk) 00:10, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
