Reindeer

edit

That's a lot of articles! I'd just like to point out none of the articles have any links to them except from other Reindeer articles. As a result, although not technically orphaned, there are no incoming links to that area of the Wikipedia. Perhaps The Night Before Christmas might a good place to start adding links... smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 15:59, 7 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

more reindeer

edit

First of all, sorry I didn't inform you earlier, but I mentioned your reindder articles to people over here, because I had no idea how to handle them, and wanted other people's opinions. That's probably why you've been getting so much attention :-). Anyway, I was going to ask you whether you really though you had enough info to make each reindeer an entire article or not, but I see Lar already had that conversation with you, so I really don't have much to add. I'm afraid I don't know a whole lot about the reindeer (seriously, I've never even heard of Robbie, and most of my knowledge comes from the hilarious song The Night Santa Went Crazy), so I'm afraid I can't be too much help with content. Good luck, and welcome again. --Bachrach44 01:09, 8 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Reindeer articles

edit

Hiya,

First wanted to say, nice work on the reindeer!

I've merged these, because it allows for a more encyclopedic summary to treat them combined, and because policy suggests not creating articles that aren't really beneficial. I think you'll like what I've done though, in terms of informativeness and structure, and I've redirected the old ones to the new one as well. See Santa Claus' reindeer. Middle-earth article

edit

Hi there! Sorry for taking a while to respond. I'm still a few days away from getting back to work on Middle-earth. What I plan to do is write some plans at Talk:Middle-earth and then notify people like you and jc37 to comment and help. For now, maybe you could read through the talk page and its archive, and see if there is anything you think would be helpful. Another thing is to read through the history of the article, having a look at some of the earlier versions and seeing if anything that looks good was lost. Hope this helps, and thanks for the offer of help. Hopefully see you over at Talk:Middle-earth. Carcharoth 14:01, 4 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Christian-hiphop-group-stub

edit

Hi - I see you have recently created a new stub type. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, new stub types should be proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any reason why this stub type should not be proposed for deletion at WP:SFD. And please, in future, propose new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 23:46, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

There now is a proposed project to deal specifically with articles relating to Baptists at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals#Baptists. If you would be interested in joining such a group, please indicate as much by adding your name there. Thank you. John Carter 19:03, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Furry

edit
Looking for something to do? WikiProject Furry is improving articles on furry and anthropomorphic topics, and we'd like to have you on board.

Our current goal is to raise Anthrocon, furry convention and furry fandom to good article status and beyond - but if that doesn't take your fancy, there are plenty of other articles to work on. Give it a go and let us know how you're doing!

You received this one-time invitation because you are a Furry Wikipedian. GreenReaper 23:08, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I just thought that it could say 'Éowyn' in Old English Text, if that's compatible with Wiki. I want talk and wikiboxes smaller, and underneath (yea, subscript's the word!)

Did you get word back from the owner of the Syrian Arabian picture? I think there is already a Syrian Arabian atricle, it's just titled 'Syrian'..... maybe we should merge? If we decide to, could you help me?

Template:WikiProject Aircraft

edit

Hi Merond e, and thanks for working on that template for us. Unfortunately, it looks like you didn't realise that we already had a project banner (which we share with the other WikiProjects that make up WikiProject Aviation). You can find it at {{WPAVIATION}}. To apply it to an article about an aircraft (as opposed to any other aviation-related topic), use the parameter "|Aircraft=yes".

If you're looking to help out with tagging aircraft articles, we always have a backlog of unrated articles that need attention here -- we'd be glad to have you join us. Cheers --Rlandmann (talk) 11:32, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Azerbaijan resident for x years

edit

A tag has been placed on Azerbaijan resident for x years requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
