Speedy deletion nomination of Pacific Drift

edit

Hello Merseymale,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Pacific Drift for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Anir1uph | talk | contrib 17:08, 24 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. About your comment here - first, we don't add things to Wikipedia that are not based on reliable sources (see WP:RS). Second, we think about what we call "weight" in articles - namely asking what is the article about, and how much space do we give to descriptions of various aspects of that subject? (see WP:WEIGHT) The article is about the album. The article already mentions its influence on U2. We don't need all the little details about how U2 expressed that influence - it is enough in this article that the influence is mentioned. I hope that makes sense. Please don't edit war over that: the remark appears trivial and unsourced, and it is not worth getting blocked over. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 01:11, 27 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Poison Ivy (musician), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bass (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

I’ve long since Given up editing Wikipedia because of so many of my edits have been reverted using completely erroneous reasons thereby rendering Wikipedia less factual and yet there seems to be no way to explain my reasons or my detractors to explain their actions

There have been times when a year or two later someone else will make the same “mistake” I make and it’s, quite rightly, allowed to stand🤷‍♂️

Life is too short to engage in a pissing contest with the ignorant -YMMV🙄 Merseymale (talk) 00:35, 19 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
