Incapsula

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Incapsula, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.incapsula.com/about-incapsula.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Incapsula

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Incapsula requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Incapsula

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Incapsula requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Incapsula issues

edit

Welcome! I requested that the article deletion be reverted because I did not think that it truly fit with the speedy deletion tag that was placed on it for copy violations. I have cleaned up the article some. However, I am concerned that you have a conflict of interest in editing the article. If you are (or are related to) Marc Gaffan who is the founder, please note that editing articles to which you have a working/some other types of close connection really goes against Wikipedia guidelines. I still hope you can contribute to Wikipedia, but please note that if your edits seem to be non-neutral or promotional, they will be reverted and, if excessive, you could be banned. Thank you. -- JoannaSerah (talk) 09:22, 20 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi JannaSerah,

Thank you for reverting the article deletion. Indeed the text was not copied from anywhere. I am indeed Marc Gaffan the co-founder of Incapsula. I uploaded the article as it's really important for us to appear on Wikipedia as all our competitors do. I have tried writing the article as nuteral as possible and not promotional in any way, and I hope that the article was approved, the same as all of our competitors articles were approved. I truly hope that the article would be approved and that the notification appearing at the top of the article would be removed.

If for some reason it is neccessary to let another contributor write the article about Incapsula, I would appreciate if you can explain how can I request that a contributor acceptable by WIKIPEDIA would write it

Thank you

Got your message on my talk page and decided to comment. I was primarily commenting above to prevent you from possibly being warned too much or banned. Wikipedia guidelines strongly discourage conflict of interest editing. The fact that the article was created by you is enough for some editors to delete it completely as being purely promotional. Regardless of your motives, I did not feel the article should be simply deleted as it is relatively notable and we do have other similar services listed as you mention above. That said, having your competition listed doesn't directly mean yours would be.
Anyway, if the info put on the article is cited properly and written in a non-promotional manner, I, personally, do not have a problem with it. Other editors might, however, so if you have something that is questionable or if you start getting warnings about editing things about the Incapsula article, perhaps the best course of action would be to discuss/suggest something on the article's talk page. Then, me or anyone else who runs across the article can update it. If you post something on the talk page and nothing's done on it for several days, you can always contact me as well. Thank you. -- JoannaSerah (talk) 13:38, 25 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Incapsula.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Incapsula.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:47, 6 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
