editWelcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Islamic sexual jurisprudence, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ~ AdvertAdam talk 16:20, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
Saw your note on the Twinkle talk page
editSaw the note that you posted over at Wikipedia talk:Twinkle. It would seem that you may not have selected the best venue for your comment, since, while I applaud the effort, you posted on the talk page for a user script rather than an article, and so your comment most likely will not reach its intended audience. It would appear that you've edited a few pages related to Islam, as you mentioned in the comment on the Twinkle page. What article were you referring to with your comment? Muhammad Hamidullah
editI noticed you reverted to article to 6 April version on the basis of copyright infringement I can not see how it can all be such and why you have taken such a drastic action rather than remove suspected infringement. I noticed you or others have done this before on the same reasoning.
I am new to this and you will no doubt have access to what I have done on which articles etc., which I think is not bad for a newcomer even if I say so myself.
However you are probably not aware of the significance of this article in the Muslim community (1.5 billion+) as the person is renowned and as you can see from the various sources very accomplished. I note you too are interested in languages from your profile, but I do not think you can compare to Hamidullah.
Although I can see some sentences may have been copied from some sources by past editors, or slightly altered, most of the source websites do hot have a copyright issue with things being taken from them and are religious propagatory in nature allowing free use or replication of their content.
I am going to restore the article (and make a few changes to re-express things so that there is less chance of infringement) as I think the significance of the man is too great to not have on Wikipedia. I will of course take into account any comments and suggestions you may have. Mhakcm (talk) 10:51, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
- Hi. Generally I answer these kinds of questions at my talk page, but I felt that it was urgent enough that you get this message before engaging the article for me to respond to you here. I need to caution you that restoring copyright infringements to Wikipedia may result in your account being sanctioned. It is Wikipedia's policy to delete content that violates any copyrights. You are certainly welcome to add information about the man, even drawing from the same source that has been copied and pasted now multiple times, but you must do so in accordance with our copyright policies. (See Wikipedia:Copy-paste.) This is not a matter of a "few changes", which would create an unusable derivative work, but rather a complete rewrite.
- The importance of the subject is immaterial here. This is a simple question of one of the legal policies governing Wikipedia, and I'm afraid that we must enforce it. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 10:56, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Your high handed approach!
editI have just logged into wiki after a few weeks and surprised at your accusations of vandalism and threats of banning without full analysis and based on assumptions which considering you say you are a lawyer and erudite one, you should know innocent mistakes and culpability of someone when there is no Mens Rea. It is not called for, and what's more it reflects badly on you especially with your background, and is more suggestive of your ego. As you may have gathered if you bothered to read the relevant parts relating to me that I am new to this Wiki editing and unlike some of you out there, do not spend half my life reading or editing it - just have too many other commitments! The amendment I made to "your" article that you did not agree with are (1) it is my reading of the reported quote else where, you may differ, but I have no objection if you revert it as it is minor (2)the other change done at 06.06 on 6th Sept. I feel is fully justified and contributes to the artcle.Mhakcm (talk) 11:48, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

Regarding edits in Hyderabad, India
editWhile most of your edits in Hyderabad, India are good and welcome, some edits may be not entirely appropriate. As an example, in this edit, you removed an entire collection of sources (book sources), replacing them with this low quality source.
The article is getting ready for a likely FAC. So, please do not do major changes without discussing it in the article's talk page. Once again, your edits have been quite good and useful. But some of them not quite so... Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 06:18, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
- Did you check those books in the pages mentioned. As of now, I could retrieve only one of the books —The Colors of Violence: Cultural Identities, Religion, and Conflict By Sudhir Kakar. On page 23 of that book, Bhagmati and her love affair with teh sultan has been described. I do not see any error in that. And such books are much more academically reliable than random websites.--Dwaipayan (talk) 06:36, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
- In fact, I could retrieve appropriate pages of the two other books as well. And all of them supported the Sultan's affair with Bhagmati, and the theory of origin of the name from her name. So, no problem in these references. I have re-instated those 3 references in the article. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 06:42, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
- I had open a discussion on Article talk page Here, Lets discuss there first for any concerns related to History.--Omer123hussain (talk) 21:12, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

Your recent edits
editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

- Thank you for contacting me through this page. I saw you took off the edit I made on the basis that it was not referenced and you now say it was not constructive. I have to agree that I cannot present a citation, however it is constructive, rational, and logical that if a statement is made about the mouth's function are for noble attributes but ignoring that the same organ can be used for ignoble attributes e.g. cursing, swearing, or through which vomit flows is contrary to the stance taken by scholar quoted, who says mouth is used for recitation and remembrance of God and should not be polluted by sexual activity using it on genitals. Do you see the point I'm making? Please advise how I can put this into the article as you are more experienced because it is highly relevant. Unless of course you are an apologist for that sheik and you feel that any other view is incorrect. I would then rebut this by the following statement by one of the greatest Muslim scholars of the previous century [Dr Muhammed Hamidullah (cf)] whose opinion in a speech on this matter was that all things that have been prohibited has been revealed to us by the Qur'an and Ahadith; anything else we must exercise our intellect to determine the correct answer. Therefore anything which is not mentioned in the Qur'an and Ahadith is permitted unless there is some other reason to ban it. So for example cigarette smoking cannot be said to be banned by Islam, wrong, or sinful (I am aware some say it is) even though we know it does harm, it can only be that it is discouraged or not recommended. I hope you get my point! Mhakcm (talk) 20:47, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
